Postby Arwenelf » Sun May 22, 2005 11:55 am

Mae Govannen. Welcome to the 'Guild of Michiganders'. Here is a place for anyone living in Michigan, near Michigan, or who has lived in Michigan to sit back, and relax.

There is cakes and other good treats to eat, and soda is in the fridge. Please help yourselves.

I am Nen, the guildmistress- Welcome once again.

Sorry it took me so long to start the new thread! (Hey, it's only four posts too late.) And thank you for letting me start the new one :D

Work has been busy for me, and my work computer won't let me post:(

My grandparents are comming down from Canada for memorial weekend (They haven't been here in about four years), so that is what I will be doing.

You guys realize you'll be losing half your membership come September? Eve and I will both be out-of-staters

And I will be an out of Countrier:) Three months without Torc will be a long time, sigh. Hopefully I will get on the internet at least once to check on all of you, but the internet cafes are expensive- About $12.00 an hour. So who knows, and I know there is no internet available to us on campus.

And then, I will be back for about 6 months, and I will then become a New Yorker (possibly).

If you're in New York, I'm so coming to visit you! :)

I've been to Rochester and Albany, but never the Big City. What school would you be going to there? I'm pretty sure you told me, but er, I don't remember.

Well, it's been raining off and on all day, but no thunder yet.

Shiny New Thread!! YAY!!!!!!

Ttbk-- Please explain your title. :P :D

Eve—she won’t be in the Big City, she’ll be in some random little town out in the middle of nowhere. I forget what it’s called… Houghton. Or something.

*Settles down in a comfy chair* Ahhhh

Eve- Yup, it is in Houghton. It is about 45 minutes away from Rochester. And the only thing in this "Town" is the school, a post office and subway. There is also some random grocery store about 20 minutes or so away. The exciting thing to do is go to Walmart in Rochester:) Sounds exciting, eh?

And am I missing something, but I thought you were moving to Arizona.

TTbk-

I think I might major in biology with an enviornmental science emphises and also Recreation. And then minor in equestrian studies. But I really don't know...so many choices and I don't know what I want to do with my life, but those are all things I am interested in. If I do do that I have to take classes off campus or do an internship. I could go to Africa or Alaska, among many other choices. Or, there is a place in Mancelona, MI---but how boring:) My mom says I should do that because I would be close to home. Who knows....

Well, the most exciting thing to do at Western was go to Meijer so I guess you're not too far off-base. ;)

I'll still try and visit you all the same. I'll kidnap you and we'll roam around NYC for a night. :D

Well, I'm not working at the camp over Memorial Day weekend because the weather hasn't been good enough for them to get a lot of campers. Ah well...mom's taking me shopping on Saturday (or maybe Friday night instead). :D

Sil - do you work Friday or Saturday? We're going to Genesee Valley so we could come by and visit if you're there. :)

If you go let me know:) My grandparents are comming today, but who knows what will happen:) You should have gone at 2:00, then I could have met you for my lunch hour! It would have been much better than sitting around:)

And that would be awsome if you could come visit me at school. Houghton is about a 6hr drive though....but you would be welcome to stay in the dorms. Oh, and at least mejiers isn't 45 minutes away from your school!

I miss all of you guys! It has been too long since I have seen any of you:(

Is luthy planning on comming back to this thread? I haven't seen her here in ages. :(

:D

Mine's alright - pretty much like any other day, though I do have twice the parents around than I usually do. :P

This place sure has gone dead since we opened up in a new thread.

Quiet, eh?

Not so well, has gone my day...my dog is not feeling well, so I haven't taken a walk or anything. And that always wrecks my day, more or less. :|
Edit: Okay, cross that...she perked right up after dinner, and so did I. :)

Hi LoR! Good to see you! How are you? What have you been up to?

It sure has been slow in here. Where is everyone? Busy? It seems like since school has been over, it as been even more dead in here. *strange*

You know, there is only 2 and half months until summer is over, isn't that sad! The good news is is that I will be done at AAA:D

TTBk- I am glad that you perked up after dinner.

Has anyone talked to Sil or Luthy, I haven't seen them here for ages.

Sil- Did you see Horses for Hope? Like Linda and Greg, ect? I was supposed to be in it, but I had to work. Sigh. Of course, I would have just had to work. I guess Kelsey was in it, riding Spot, even though she isn't apart of HfH...

Well tell Luthy to get her pointy ears back in here! She can talk here:D

Yep, I saw them. Dunno who Laura was riding, but he had red, white, and blue stars painted all over him. :D And I couldn't remember Linda's name for a brief moment, so I shouted "Hey, Charlie!" instead. :D (Charlie is her horse, for those of you in the dark. ;) )
I thought you only had to work till 6? Couldn't make it back in time?

Smelly kitties=blah. Lots of blah. :P

I...

didn't...

notice...

the...

new...

thread...

was...

up.

I tell you, I rely almost exclusively on my email updates these days, and since I wasn't subscribed to this thread I just didn't see it. I admit to wondering why nobody was posting in the old one... I completely forgot we had finished it off. B^

*is absentminded*

Michigan is... hot. :P

I think I'm not going anywhere this summer except for at the end. Exciting isn't it? B^

Sil- I got home at 6:30, but Linda said that I would need to be there at 5:30 so *Shrugs*. What time did the parade start? Laura was riding Zephyr, or at least I think she was. Or was the horse black and white? If so, her name is Xena('s Royal Crown).

Parade started at 7. And the horse was black.. must have been Zephyr.

Hot. Really. Really. Hot. *Dies*

We should do something about it. What should we do? *Shifty eyes..*

Hot... *melts*

Do about it?

Move the whole state into Canada till the end of August was my first thought.

Or mandatory pool breaks every half-hour. I could have used some of those today.

I could go for that... but there are no nice pools around here... they all bake in the sun and the water is just as hot as the air. *dies*

I had Jones cream soda today. I love that stuff. :D

Well, it wasn't cool, actually, it wasn't refrigerated so it was hot. :|

It still tasted good though. :)

And I had some great Brie. It was cold. And delicious.

It's hilarious because it's French cheese, made in Wisconsin... but it had a Spanish brand name!
