Do nothing with Natan and the girls. I have something and will post in shortly. :)

edit: ok here it is. I forgot where exactly you were JF, but I thought your character would sense Lark and seek her out. If my post doesn't work for you, then let me know. I'll change that part.

I also brought the guys and girls back together. I'm sure we'll see the bunny again, but if I understood Borin's post, it was asleep.

Ok, do nothing with Rowyn for now. Smor has something for her and will need time to get it together. We had this plan cooked up and finally can pu it in action. :)

The girls were hiding well they thought. They all could feel that Natan was approaching.
Rowyn was nervous, very nervous. All of the girls could feel it too because they were also nervous. There was something not right, but no one could figure out what it was. They were all determined to do this and do it now.

Natan approached Rowyn and they talked briefly. It was as if he knew something was up. Adrial and Lark immediately began to focus on his mind, his inner thoughts. What they found there was disturbing, pure jealousy, rage, and evil. His mind had been corrupted by Saruman and they wondered if he could ever come back.

Adrial looked over to Lark who had a pained expression on her face. Suddenly without warning, sabers were ignited and Natan was attacking Rowyn! The girls all remained motionless for a minute. Lark and Adrial continued to get into Natan’s mind. The others began to formulate a plan of their own.

The battle was tense and it was taking a toll on Rowyn as well as Lark and Adrial. Adrial did not know how much longer any of the three would be able to hold out. It was as if Natan was a puppet being held on stings to do the will of his master. She soon realized that indeed Natan was a puppet; a puppet for Saruman.

The girls started moving, Adrial and Lark continued working, and suddenly another dark, evil presence could be felt. Adrial knew immediately who it was when she saw Lark’s face. Ranthim had come, not the Ranthim Lark married, but the evil puppet Ranthim. He too had been corrupted by Saruman.

Lark could not hold out much longer. Sweat was dripping off her face; she began trembling. Her force powers were weakening and Adrial could not do this alone. She felt for her friend and began to wonder what would happen. She felt the other girls moving. She wondered what they had in mind, but could not dwell on this. It would take all of her strength to keep an eye on Lark and keep working on Natan’s mind.

The second presence kept drawing closer and closer. With each step Adrial watched Lark sink further and further down. She saw Rowyn barely able to keep the upper hand with Natan. She thought to herself, “I don’t know what those girls are doing, but they better do it fast.”

She soon found out what they were planning. They had sensed Ranthim too, but they did not realize it was him. They knew they had to move fast. Mara, Ketha, and Elwing were going to bring the room down; they were going to use the force and cause the room to cave in. It was Robin’s job to get Rowyn out of there in time. Lark and Adrial were in a position to run quickly when the time came.

As Ranthim came closer, Lark fell to the ground. She could hold out no longer. Tears stained her face and she began wailing, “Why? Why?” Adrial forgot the main task and went to her side to comfort her. She noticed what the girls were doing and got Lark to a safer spot, closer to their exit.

Elwing, Mara, and Ketha began using the force to bring the room in around them. They first started with blocking Ranthim’s path. He called loudly for Lark, and she just looked towards the mound of rocks and debris. She knew he was alive, but she secretly wondered for how long. She knew in her heart that once his usefulness had run out, Saruman would kill him. She wept again and Adrial held her tightly.

The girls’ next task was to bring the room down on Natan and get Rowyn out in time. Elwing, Mara, and Ketha concentrated hard on the room around them, beginning with the ceiling. Robin was ready to move as the first sign of the cave in was known.

A lot happened in those next moments. Rowyn had been trying to tell Natan something and he refused to listen. He had a pain in his head which brought them both down to the ground. The ceiling fell down causing a barrier between Natan and Rowyn. And seconds before Robin reached Rowyn, she was knocked unconscious by rocks from the ceiling. Robin picked her up and the girls ran for the exit. They met Adrial and Lark there and moved to another room. Lark could still hear Ranthim calling her name and telling her that he loved her and he was doing this for her.

While all of this was going on, the guys had sensed the danger on the girls and immediately went to find them. Elrosar felt the pain that Adrial and Lark were suffering as if he was suffering it himself. He left his quest to find this familiar presence and sought out his twin and fiancé. The guys joined up somewhere in one of the dark tunnels and ran their hardest until they found the girls. They were astonished at what they saw.

Rowyn lay unconscious from an apparent head wound. Elwing and Robin were by her side with Mara and Ketha close by. Lark was crying and Adrial holding her. Elrosar immediately ran to them while Gandalf asked what had happened.

Robin explained, much to girl’s pleasure because the others just did not know what to say. Elrosar had a displeased look on his face, but this was not the time for scolding.

Neither Adrial nor Lark had the strength needed to help Rowyn right now, especially not Lark. Adrial was concentrating on helping Lark right now. Somehow she knew that Rowyn would live and that they could help her later, but something was different about Lark. Something which scared Adrial.

Gandalf suggested that they move somewhere safer and the guys began to carefully escort the girls to a safer room. Gandalf and Robin attended to Rowyn while the others watched intently. Adrial and Elrosar stayed close by Lark’s side. She was still trembling and there was no blanket for her. Elrosar had her eat something which made her feel a little better.

Adrial began to talk to her and try to discover what was going on. “That was Ranthim, wasn’t it?”

“Yes it was.” Tears began forming in her eyes again.

“Why Lark, why has he done this?”

“He says so I can be immortal like he is, but that doesn’t matter to me now.” She began crying while she said the next. Adrial held her hand and began comforting her. “Not now, that I am carrying his child, our child.”

Adrial had thought this was true, but chose to say nothing. She knew that Lark would tell her in her own time and she had. “What are you going to do?”

“I don’t know. I’m not sure he can be turned back, not after that episode with Natan. There’s something else.” Lark had whispered the last and looked intently into Adrial’s eyes. She waited until Elrosar had gone to check on Rowyn before telling her. “He plans on killing Elwing.” Adrial’s eyes widened with shock and disbelief. “He says that Ro’s sister would have a child more powerful than even Saruman. He thinks that Elwing would have that child, at least he did.”

Adrial caught that fear in her voice. She replied, “You are carrying that child and he now knows, doesn’t he?” Lark only shook her head and began crying. Adrial held her tightly and said, “He loves you and love is more powerful than Saruman. Love will prevail. Don’t you give up on him yet.” Elrosar had come back with the news on Rowyn and it was not good.

btw, congrats to Leo and Robin. :clap: :clap:

Oh, Wimsie, get some sleep sis! :) :D

Sounds good Gwen :thumbsup: I don't have anything at this point, nor do I have the time.

Yes, Mara! Loopiness rocks :D

Borin, :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: Too funny!!

Smor, :shock: I guess we shouldn't tell Julie this. She'd pull out her "Help stop the violence against the bunnies!" shirt. ;) :D

And for your future reference, that last post by Borin is the last SW post I've read.

And that's my last post while I'm here, housesitting. I go back to the way the Internet access was before. Very scarcely available (and I don't think I spelled that right, but I don't care). :(

*le sigh*

Well, um, you weren't here and we weren't sure what to do, so... :whistle: I guess that means you want your hand back?

Gwen and Wimsie and I just had this plan for something to do with Rowyn for awhile. :twisted: But since I don't know what Rowyn was saying to Natan there, you could always use that as his wakeup call so he's good from then on or something. :D

Ok, off to work on my post... :twisted: =:) :twisted: =:) :twisted:

Nic, you could do a post in which your two personalities, the bad and the good, have a row.

Natan: (waking up) Ugh, who am I?

DP: You are Darth Plushy, The Sith Lord Saruman's tool.

Natan: Me, a tool? Wait a minute, Darth Plushy? *snickers, can't control himself anymore and bursts out in laughter*

DP: That's it. I'm out of here. (disappears, Natan is good again)

:P :rofl:
It's come far :roll: laughing at my own jokes
:P :twisted:

*eagerly waits for the bunny, to try out the promising weapon called Tulkas Thermal Detonator... or something*

Heehee, Gollum!Natan! :rofl:

Ok, here's my post. Just felt like doing something completely different. :P

“Is she going to be all right?”

“Shh, I think she’s coming around…”

“Move over, let me have a look. Rowyn, can you hear me?”

Now that voice she recognized. Rowyn struggled to open her eyes, but when she did she could barely see a thing; it was so dark. “Haleth? Where are you?” she asked, looking around wildly. Where was she? “Why is it so dark?” she continued.

“I’m right here, Rowyn. Take it easy.” She felt someone take her hand, and then she heard her brother saying, “Can we get a little more light over here?”

“Sure thing,” someone replied. She heard a strange noise, and then a beam of colored light seemed to leap up from out of nowhere, held by a blond-haired girl and accompanied by a strange hum. There was an old man and what appeared to be an Elf kneeling nearby, and several other faces hovering in the shadows, none of which looked familiar. Startled by the strange light and the unfamiliar faces, Rowyn sat up quickly, grabbing Haleth’s arm and looking around fearfully. “Who are you people? Where am I? And why am I dressed like this?” she asked, looking in horror at the men’s clothes she was wearing.

“Very funny, Rowyn,” said the girl holding the light. “What happened in there, anyway?”

“In where? What are you talking about?” Rowyn was starting to panic, gripping Haleth’s arm more tightly.

“What’s the last thing you remember, Wyn?” Haleth asked, gently trying to pry her grip loose.

Rowyn thought hard. “You were getting ready to leave for Edoras, so you could join your eored. And we were in the stable talking… what happened? You didn’t have to stay home because of me, did you? I know you were looking forward to it.” Her eyes filled with tears.

Haleth’s eyes widened, but before he could speak, the girl with the light interrupted. “You don’t remember us?” she asked in a small voice. Rowyn looked back at her for a moment, then shook her head. She was starting to panic again.

“Perhaps I should talk to her,” the old man said. “Haleth, you may stay with her. Perhaps it will be easier if she has someone she knows with her. The rest of you, please give us a little time.”

“But…” the girl protested.

To Rowyn’s complete surprise, Haleth stood up and walked over to her. “It’s all right, Elwing. I’m sure she’ll be fine soon,” he said, taking one of her hands in both of his. “I’ll let you know as soon as anything changes.” The girl, Elwing, looked upset, but glanced down and nodded. Then she left with the others, leaving her alone with her brother and the old man.

“Do you know who I am, Rowyn?” the old man asked. Rowyn shook her head no. “I am Gandalf,” he continued.

“The wizard? What are you doing in Rohan? The last I heard, the king wasn’t very happy with you; did he change his mind?” Rowyn asked.

“Many things have changed,” the wizard said quietly. “I will try to make this explanation as short as possible. You and your companions are traveling with me through the mines of Moria. You will be helping me to defeat the evil that has arisen in Angmar.”

Now Rowyn was really confused. “Angmar? But that’s north of here, right? I thought all that stuff was east of Gondor. And what do you expect me to do, anyway? I’m just a girl.”

Haleth looked very concerned now. “Since when does that stop you?” he asked. Rowyn looked at him, obviously upset at his outburst. Haleth sighed and continued, “Rowyn, I…I don’t know how to tell you this. But when I was going to join that eored, it was over four years ago.” Rowyn just stared at him uncomprehendingly. “And that’s not all. You went and joined an eored too. Two of them, in fact, though you got caught the first time because you disguised yourself as a boy. And Sauron was defeated, and you fought in that war.”

“What?” Rowyn finally asked. That couldn’t be true, it couldn’t possibly. “Stop teasing me, Haleth. It’s not very nice, and we both know that it would be completely improper for me to do anything like that. Father told me himself that he didn’t want me to fight. He wanted to make sure I’ll find a good husband, remember?”

Haleth sat back, completely shocked. “Who are you, and what have you done with my sister?” he asked, sounding angry. Rowyn, thinking he was angry at her, burst into tears, burying her face in her hands.

“I think she truly does not remember,” she heard Gandalf say to him quietly. “I would guess it’s either her head injury, or perhaps the strain of whatever happened between her and Natan was too great for her.”

“Great. Just great,” Haleth groaned. “If I ever get my hands on that little…”

“Do not give in to anger,” Gandalf interrupted. “That is the path to the Dark Side, remember? If you wish to help your sister, that’s the worst thing you can do right now.”

Rowyn had no idea what they were talking about, so she continued to cry until Haleth finally put a hand on her arm. “Come on, Rowyn. We’re going back to the others now. They’re your friends, trust me on this.”

Rowyn just looked at him, wide-eyed. “I can’t go back there! Not while I’m dressed like this!”

Haleth looked confused now. “What’s wrong with what you’ve got on?”

“There are men over there! I can’t wear this in front of them! What will they possibly think of me?” Rowyn asked, looking genuinely distressed.

“The same thing they always think of you,” Haleth answered, still confused. It didn’t take much longer for him to regret that answer, as Rowyn promptly burst into tears again, bemoaning her tomboyish childhood and how she wished she had listened more when people in her village told her to act like a lady.

Haleth sighed. “Come on… we’ll go back and find the girls. Maybe they can come up with something.”

*~*~*~*~*~*

Elrosar returned to Lark and Adrial, followed by several of the others. “How is she doing?” Adrial asked him.

Elrosar hesitated. “The good news is, she’s awake,” he said.

“And the bad news?” Lark asked.
Then they all stared in shock to see Elwing dragging Rowyn into the room behind her. At least, they thought it was Rowyn… she was wearing a pink frilly dress, though none of them could figure out how she had managed to find one, and was humming to herself. “The bad news is, she’s completely lost her mind,” Elwing announced, sounding frustrated and annoyed.

“Rowyn?” Lark asked, surprised.

Eohelm just stared at her, a look on his face that said he wasn’t sure how to react. “You look like… like a girl,” he said. “I mean, really girly.”

“I know. Isn’t it great?” Rowyn said, smiling happily. Elwing just dropped her head into her hand to muffle a frustrated scream.

Wimsie- consider yourself tagged. :whistle:

edit: After some discussion with Wimsie, I have an official request: we had already planned this so that Elwing would be the one to get Rowyn to snap out of her weird alter-ego amnesia thing. I don't know how long it will be until she gets a chance to do that post, or if she'd like to run with it for awhile. So the official request is, while you can feel free to run with this/have fun at my character's expense in whatever way you wish, Wimsie gets dibs on actually coming up with a cure. Thank you. :D

AAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH

WHAT DID YOU DO TO ROWYN????????

*is scared*

Natan has to turn good now...He might just be scared straight by the sight of her.

Here is the post that Natan is redeemed.....under a pile of rubble...hand intact.
~~~~~~
"Nothing happens by accident" his dreamself said”, Maybe things were not meant to be??" "You could not be more wrong!!" his physical mind replied, "I found that love is the driving force in man's nature. Fate is not an option, free will guides my destiny. Not some cosmic fate, does that mean I do not believe in Eru???? No only that I believe that he guides our steps but that we must choose the road."
Dreamself smiled derisively, "So really all it comes down to is if you love Rowyn. It says to that if she were here you would take her place. And why not love is the greatest drive of human emotions....." He spit at Natan. "Fool, greed, lust, and hate are the whip masters, they are the paths to power. Not your precious love."
Natan looked up at what he once thought was himself and he saw much more. "What are you??" he asked disgust tinged his voice.
The thing laughed, "I am you fool, I am your dark side, I am the side that you have not allowed even your dearest Rowyn to see until now."
"That is not TRUE!!!
"Rowyn, Rowyn, Rowyn" the thing pranced around like a child chanting Wyn's name, mocking Natan. "OH Rowyn Saaaaave meeee"
Natanwas beaten, he was bruised, and this was all within his mind and his body, a prison that was inescapable.
After what seemed like eons or minutes, time had no meaning here.
Natan remembered!!!
He remembered the sound of her voice, the touch of her hand, the smell of her hair. He remembered Rowyn's love
"To err is human, yet to forgive is divine.?? That is the difference isn't it??
Rowyn has forgiven me, and that is something you in all your power could never do. She loved me and all you gave me was hate."
The farce of himself laughed and laughed. And showed its true form Saruman grinned, his yellowed teeth bared. "Never will you see the light again, my young apprentice."
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"
Natan slowly got up and shook of the chains, the things that had held him back, his fears, his doubts, his unwillingness to jump into Rowyn's love.
"I choose the light!"
Natan awoke, he could feel the weight of stones on top of his chest and arms, he touched the force lightly and lifted the stones away from his body. Getting up slowly so as not to hurt anything else he looked around and reached out through the force for his former friends.
He had to find them if they were going to get out of here.
~~~~~~~~~

YAY....Natan is back!!!

Heeheeheeheehee.... :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

Look at it this way, Nic. Right now, she doesn't remember anything that Natan did. (Or remember him at all, for that matter... :whistle: ) Good time for him to try to win her back. :twisted: :wink:

And yes, I'm working on a response in the Pony... it'll just have to wait until later tonight so I can write it up.

Yay! I’m finally caught up in this thread too! :) The IC post are great! J_F is asleep, but I’ll tell him all that’s happened by email tomorrow and see if he’s okay with it. (I’m sure he will be :wink: )

Oh Smor…a pink dress? :shock: :rofl: Maybe Lark can talk her into trading lightsabers now. :whistle:

Now, Dan, we’ve already talked about this. :nono: If you killed Ranthim, then Lark would have to kill Elrosar, then Adrial would have to kill Lark, then Elwing would have to kill Adrial, (blood thicker then water and all :wink: ) and it would never end until we had all killed each other! Actually might be a fun way to end it. :twisted: :P :P :P

Hey you know, even though Natan has turned back to the light side, if and when he does show up no one is going to trust him.

Hey maybe when Natan shows up, Elrosar and Natan can go at again. This time Elrosar can put the poor boy out of his misery, because you know Rowyn is going to look at this missing hand and go: :shock: :puke: Aiiieeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!

:twisted: :x :wink: :P

Lark, your idea really does have some merit, and I am holding on to that possibility. :twisted: 8) :P :wink:

Seriously though Nic, when Natan does show up I would like to see Elrosar wipe the floor with him, but right before the death blow someone jumps in front of Elrosar preventing the slicing in half of our prodical son. :P

I just want to see Natan show up because Rowyn doesn't have a clue who he is and his reaction would be priceless. :twisted:

Congrats, Mara! :) And hey, I didn't say Mary Sue!! (Although, maybe she is... TEMPORARILY....)

And if you want to use the bugs, go for it. :twisted: I was hoping someone else would decide to run with this besides me and Wims.

Dan

I get to have a replacement hand like Luke.......I will not go through life with only one hadn!!!!!!!!

And No Dan...Elrosar cannot wipe the floor with Natan, you can use Ranthim or Riot for that.....Natan is good again...He did not go through all of this to get killed...Although he can understand that whole people not trusting him part.

Well, I got this whole mess going, so i will take myself out. Besides things have been tough lately so my muse is on a holiday, a very long holiday. Maybe she will return for VU or even my story. :sighs: One never knows.

Congrats Mara! I am proud of you! :D :D :D :D :D :D

Nic, of course you'll get a hand! :wink: We just will not promise what it will look like. :twisted:

How about a normal gorilla looking hand? :) With amazing banana crushing power! :shock: That would be cool! 8)

Would you consider a minor floor wiping from Ranthim? :) I don’t think he’s going to be very happy about you turning back to the light side. (and I think I saw J_F working on a post earlier, but he’s vanished on me again :roll: )
