Keve wrote:The best bit was an in-joke missed out of the movie for practical reasons, where she interviews Colin Firth (Mr Darcy.) I thought that was the main reason to make the sequel in the first place, to see how they'd tackle Colin Firth being in two roles, but they missed it (though apparently it's in the DVD as an extra.)

Yeah, i just loved that part too...And it's really hilarious in extras...

I don't think that movie from the first book gave a really good picture of Bridget, and I didn't like it.... :( But the second one surprised me: I was prepared to hate cause I had heard of the differences with the book...But from the spirit, it was more accurate than the first one and I had a good laugh...:D

Silwen wrote:Is Edge of Reason as good as the first book, do you think?

Yeah, I think it continues pretty seemlessly, it's like a one big book, if you know what I mean...:P Made me laugh, and then it's always money-worth spend...:D

Nee, i think I've heard it...:D

Yesterday I started Alice in Wonderland. My edition also has Through the Looking Glass in it, but those are quick reads. I have a fever right now, so I am not sure how fast I will finish the books. I find it difficult and exhausting to concentrate on a book right now.

I live in Belgium, and I teach children how to play bowling. Besides that I work in an office (from where I am now posting).

I read about everything that stand still long enough. And my favorite musical/movie is The Phantom of the Opera.

We do have a music room, and I think those windows are a bit more resistent than these here. ;)

I think I am doing better. I say I think because it's hard to tell. It is a strange illness and I have no idea what it is. It is not a cold. I only had fever the first day. An all that troubles me now on day 3 is my neck. It feels like I have whiplash or something, as if it were going completely stiff. I just lay down a bit to read and it's better now though certainly not gone yet. *shrug*

Normally I fall ill twice a year. This year alone I have been ill three times since April! I think I've had enough now.

Anyway, I finished Alice in Wonderland and will begin Through the Looking Glass later today.

What? Yet another Belgian around?
That makes three of us that I know in this forum, and I didn't followed many threads!

Uh... I think I forgot the part about presenting myself and such, didn't I?
Well, obviously I also am from Belgium (Brussels, to be precise), and I do sometimes be kind of a bookworm. At least, that what other people say from me :)

So... It is not often that I'm welcomed by broken glass and smashed windows, yet I think I'll join in nonetheless. That is, if you don't push me out or threathen me with those very razor-sharp things, of course!

Hello Guide! Welcome to the Lounge.:) It is good to see another European here. You, Nilmandra and I are practically neighbours, aren't we? I am from Germany, and if I remember correctly I came through Belgium once on my way back from England. Didn't see much of your country because I was asleep on the bus. But I did wake up in Brussels.:D

I don't much like Phantom of the Opera, just like most musicals. In this case there is just too much opera for me to like it. ;) When I was in the school choir we had to sing some of the Phantom songs and I still hear them in my head now that I think of them. :Q The only musical I ever liked was Miss Saigon though I never saw it. I have a very bad tape recording of the best songs and used to be able to play them on the violin and guitar a little, but I prefered the singing.:D Someday I might get the CD, but I doubt I'll ever go to see a musical again. (Only saw Grease in England once.)

*slowly walks*

I have ordered some books from Scholastic Club. I ordered the first five of the Harry Potter series. I have not read any and I am looking forward to reading them. They have been shipped and waiting. I order from Scholastic a lot, especially books for my daughter. She gets some from her birthday and Christmas every year and any other time we feel like getting her some. :D She loves books and I'm glad about that.

*walks over in a corner, sits in a cozy chair, sips her grape Propel, pulls out her FOTR, and begins reading*

I remember those! :D Haven't gotten any since elementary school. I used to love how they had the library set up that week for the book fair. It was like heaven. :P

Oooh Rohy, how's Eragon? I want to read that. :D
