Today I discovered that Ani started her Christmas countdown again! Image I missed that.

I have no idea if we will have snow at Christmas. The radio station I listen to is keeping it a bit of a secret. Image I am guessing that it will be a green Christmas.

Today my train was an hour late... :x
hate the train system here. Ever since we got the "faster" pendolino-trains, all traffic has been a mess...

today i discovered that Ani started posting again. :P

the weather here is too good for the time of the year. last year we had big troules with snow at the end of november. this year, the temperatures haven't been below zero since winter ended. so no white christmas here.

We haven't had a white Christmas for a while either, but we were usually lucky enough to have snow on New Year's Eve, usually. This time I doubt we will even have that.

today is the day i realised that there is more in life than watching movies and sitting on my behind. Somehow i feel like it's monday...but it's actually thursday.

remember what Arthur Dent said about thursdays? That's exactly how i feel. things don't make sense today and i'll be glad when it's finally 2007. time for real life to return, time for normality.

How grand to have a Hallmark Moment,
when friends have sent the very best,
a gift of memories to cherish,
of that I honestly attest.
Dear Silwen, may your days spent with us
be like a Hallmark card each day,
for all the best you wish for others,
I wish for you along your way.

Bright blessings,
Parm :)

Today I wasted the whole day doing nothing and feel thoroughly depressed because that's all I do every day.

Today, for a change, I had good news from my doctor and that is why I am in a great mood. :D

Echo, I know how you feel. That is what my life is like most of the time lately as well. :(

today equals freedom...i'm all alone and i love it. Nobody to tell me what to do or to bother me. I feel so good, it's the best feeling i have had in weeks.

Yay for good news, Silwen! :D

Echo, I'm sorry to hear you're depressed. Chin up, things will get better for you. I'm sure of it. :)

For this thread of talkativeness, I present my own tope:
watching people singing Karaoke.

It is VERY big in Japan...as one would imagine...but people usually
sing it when they feel well lubricated (i.e.three sheets to the wind)
and that is not something I do....ever.
I do, however, enjoy participating, whenever I am with those who
bring out the karaoke box, but watching these peole as they sing
is fun in and of itself.

There seems to be a hidden "Grammy Award" recipient in each of them!
 Bless 'em!

today will be over in an hour.

today was a saturday...and not just any saturday. it was the last saturday in 2006.

AM 00:00-2:30: i was still at my weekend job at McDonald's.
2:30-3:00: changing clothes and going home
3:00-6:00: i was having a conversation about Saddam's execution, the death penalty and abortion with Elfy.
6:00-12:00: i was sleeping
the rest of the day i was doing pointless stuff like surfing the net. the weather doesn't really allow me to do much else.

Today I finally got to watch Pirates of the Caribbean! And I got all the films for tomorrow's marathon.

I can't wait to watch them all. I rarely get to see any films at all since I moved out of the city. There is no good cinema in my area so I don't get to see all the things I would like to see when they come out.

It's a lot of fun.
Bizarre fun, but still...well...fun.

I think I am fun-deprived.
Must get my children to help me have some tickles. :D

Today is movie day and even though it is barely three hours before midnight, I have managed to watch as many as one single movie.

After dinner with the family we started some table rockets from which I got a paper hat and some streamers. 8) Then my sister and I did something that is common in our country at this time of year: "Bleigießen", which translates as "pouring lead". You have small bits of lead, heat it over a flame and pour it into water. Then you examine the shape of it and look the result up on a sheet that comes with it. Whatever you see in the form helps you interpret your future.

I am glad to say that I only got very positive results while my sister got quite bad shapes luke and axe and a scythe. Not good at all. But it was great fin! :D

Today I realised that there is nothing more to celebrate after New Year and it means getting back to work and the routine things that bore me so much. Awful, isn't it?

What's the next date you are looking forward to? What's the occasion?

Today I slept at odd hours after pulling an all-nighter, knowing that getting up at 6 tomorrow morning will be one hell of a job. :( I am so tired and haven't done a thing all day, and I am certainly not looking forward to tomorrow, but I will have to bear it. I won't have time to catch up on sleep till Thursday night/Friday morning now.

Today I have already read two chapters of Two Towers. yay. :)

Today I took wobbly pictures of a train station. It was too early to be able to hold the camera still. Somehow I can't deal with our camera anyway and the pictures tend to be awfully fuzzy no matter what I do. My own (non-digital :( ) camera produces far better photos, but I can't work with it for my photo project at the moment. Pity.

Today I haven't slept yet. Okay, it is only 3 a.m. :P

It is a famous film, Mouse, but I haven't see it since I generally refuse to watch German films. They aren't all bad, of course, but still I tend to stick to comedy if it has got to be anything German, usually. I have only heard good things of Goodbye Lenin, however.

Min, You saw "Good Bye, Lenin!". Awesome! I thought it was a great movie too. Especially if you know a little of the history of Germany after WW2.

Silwen, it's okay if you haven't seen it. I just thought that since you are our German correspondent you'd be most likely to know. :D You should see it some time.
