Found it!

Hmmm....almost seems as if a cooler would be redundant at the North Pole. Except as a handy thingy to carry the drinks in, of course. 8)

Yes. We still need the cooler. You don't find Yeungling bottles in the North Pole snow.

Well, gorammit, what the heck is up with the North Pole and its lack of Yuengling bottles? I thought Santa was more on the ball than that. 8)

I found out recently you can't get Yuengling in Illinois either. I went to a store that has EVERYTHING, and they told me that Yuengling is not distributed in Illinois. :(

As long as the spiders aren't actually in the Yuengling, nl, I can deal with it. :P

Why are we freezing our butts off up here again?
Visiting who?
St Nick?
I'd rather be visiting St Kitts. They got bikinis in St Kitts.
They have warm beaches with nice blue water.
Ain't no beaches around here.
All they got is a guy wanting to dump coal in my socks.
Phooey.

sneaks in and finds a dark corner to snooze in . . .

Shhhhh, no one tell the muse I'm in here. The silly git wants to send me to that Hobbit tailor again, with the far-fetched and much mistaken idea that it's time to get gussied up for the WCA's. Pfffft. As if my regular clothes aren't good enough . . .

brushes a bunch of dust off her trousers

Although, they could use a cleaning I guess . . . =:)

Soooooo folks, what's cooking?

Scribbles!! :D :D

Here's a bit of beer to splash on your clothes to make them smell better. And of course you can drink it too. 8)

Holb, here you go: one Yuengling from teh cooler. The toddy is on the warmer and waiting for when you're ready.

holby, there IS a jacuzzi aboard the TVM. Of course, you may find a raccoon swimming around in it....

You can hide out here all you want to, Scribbles. We have a very casual dress code.

Brrr, it's cold outside. And, what a day! :bang: Now, I need a warm bath, and after that, a cold beer. Or, maybe I could drink the beer already while I'm in the bath.

I remember that hot tub pic, from the year I started and didn't understand much. we have learned since then...

*sigh*

one is never sure she is doing the right thing. I am not all that pleased with going back to old job and as it gets steadily closer to happening I question my choice. I do want to stay in Sydney with friends and family but will miss my job a bit. Am reasonably good at it too. But the thought of moving to Melbourne is scary. Not to say I will never do it, cause I think at some stage I will, as jobs come up all the time at the BCM. I was weighing things in my mind this morning before 6am showed on my glowing clock. I only see friends at church and once a week if lucky, as they have far busier lives than me. But the thought of no friends in a strange city (even for a short while) is horrible. If I had a partner it would be so much easier to do. Not be by self, which I hate and yet like at times. My married friend Jac says she's always wanting time to herself whilst I want time with others. *sigh*

that's all, carry on hot tubbing.

And carry on we will! Here, have a drink, nl. You sound as if you could use one. In the wise words of Homer (Simpson, not the Greek dude), "To alcohol! The cause of, and solution to, all of life's problems."

Speedy!! Mmmm, so this is where the magic cooler has been hiding. Thanks for the beer shower too, but y'know I really do prefer to drink the stuff. Happen to have a Kilkenney Cream Ale in there anywhere? :D

settles down to hone the edges of all her sharp and pointies just a leeeeetle more . . . Thanks nl! A girl can always use another whetstone, now where did I put that light oil? ;) Mmmmmm mead. :D Oh, and the muse is a 'she', a tarted up little annoyance that sadly, as much as I hate to admit it, I really can't live without. However, she tries to put me in shiny or fancy clothes and it won't be pretty . . . ;)

nl, sounds like you have a bunch of stuff going on, but why would you go back to your old job? Yes, I am woefully out of touch . . .

Tooks, I had a feeling you'd say that . . . ;) hangs her cloak on a peg and contemplates kicking her boots off . . . =:) And LOL, the expression on Haldir's face is priceless, considering that it looks as though he has two more blondes in his very immediate vicinity ;)

And what would be a post from a Canadian if there wasn't something about the weather in it? Well, boring and un-Canadian for one, er, two things. :P We finally got a break in the cold snap, today it was plus 3C! And the week is supposed to continue mild . . . oh happy day.

drags in a case of mead to share all around

:D:D:D

Scribbles, my job has been made redundant..or more like moving to Melbourne as of Feb 2. I can leave, go to Melbourne or take a job within the company. There is one open, a job I used to do part time, now a full time position. Not the most fun job in the world, but helps pay the bills...just.

Aaaahhh, I see. Hmmmm, indeed a conundrum. One one hand, keep the newer job but have to move away from family and friends. On the other, stay close to family and friends but take an older job back.

I guess keeping in touch with family is the most important, friends are always stay-in-touchable by e-mail, IM chat or phone . . . and the opportunity for new friends is always an exciting (and yes, somewhat stressful) part of a new city . . . gosh, all I know is that I don't have any wise or sage advice . . . I will have you in my prayers though . . . :)

Sorry. Couldn't resist.

We are having a 'decorate a Christmas stocking' contest at work today. I'm hoping that mine wins something. I'll post a pic one of these days.

And sooooo....here we are at the North Pole. In the hottub. Is anybody going outside? Should we look for Santa? Reindeer? Polar bears?
