Thank heaven it's Friday - I'll probably be close to 50 hours after today. I need the weekend to recuperate.

nl, I'd gladly send you at least half of the rain that we've got during the last month. :( Thank goodness the storm last night didn't get as strong as was expected. And today, there even was some strange light in the sky visible for a few hours...

Whew, weekend ahead. 8) This evening, I'll go to a concert of medieval Christmas music, and will take the younger daughter with me if she feels she's well enough - she caught some stomach bug and spent the afternoon throwing up, but otherwise, her condition seems to be quite normal.

Weekend? We don't need no stinking weekend.
I am working straight through until the day before Christmas.
I have had two days off together maybe twice since September.
Pert near hit 60 hours last week and there is plenty more where that came.
Yesssireee. 'Tis the season. :)

Welcome to the weekend, Star! Recupe. Sleep in. Go :thppt: at holby.

*Sends good vibes out Calma's way*

Hmm...maybe we should hop in the TVM and check out the NW.

PS: BigMama!! Thanks for the card. Love your return address labels. :D:D

I'M BAAAACCCKKKK!!!!

My power was out about a day and my internet was a few hours longer.
I missed you people sooo much.

As you can see I survived the big blow. And BIG it was.
The power went out shortly after a put a quick dinner on the table. We ate by candle light. Not a romantic as it seems, btw.
I'll say more later, but I have to go places today and don't have much more time before I have to leave.

Just glad to be back amongst friends and out of the dark....

Calma....glad you guys made it through. Sounds like a rough time for some out there...and my heart is with those poor mountain climbers stuck on Mt. Hood.

Man, I really need to get here more often. Sorry that you have to work so much there Holby, thankfully work is lightening up a bit for me. For a few weeks. Then things get interesting......

So....where are you guys now? Still at the north pole? Or just honoring the Grinch...which is a worthy cause indeed.

I finally got to see that! Mmmm, is it just me, or is Johney Depp getting better with age? ;) =:)

I'm glad Calma made it through that storm, we caught the edge of it last night - horizontal snow and a howling wind that shook the house all night. However, the drift in front of the garage doors this morning was only a foot deep, instead of the three that I expected, LOL.

sends snow to nl and holby Here. Take it. PLEASE!!

any reason is a good one to keep Holby prisoner here...sorry you have to work so much though. :(

none of the snow made it here. we did get a bit of rain but it fell in the wrong place. Better aim next time please, ladies!!

we are having our Carols by Candlelight this evening. Should be fun.

saw Casino Royale and Eragon over the weekend. one good, one not so good.

Just a quick note to say hi and to see if you would pray form my mum. She has to go back to the breast screening place as they found a shadow on the screen thingy. She thinks it's probably a deep bruise as my nephew accidently kicked her hard a few days back before the screening but just to be on the safe side, prayer would be helpful.

Hi Star!! we get the 25th and 26th off as public holidays. Is not teh 26th a holiday in the US? I am working the 3 days between Christmas and New Year. I don't want to waste my holidays and someone has to man the office as others are on leave. I don't mind. I will have 4 days off at least plus New Year's Day.

My physio beat me up last night. I'm gonna have bruises! curse my useless muscles!! wish they'd just get better on their own.

I have finally had time to read, and not without my jaw gaping and pulse pounding,
the stories of what has happened to our friends in the Pacific Northwest and in
regions beyond!

Forgive me for not tuning in to your part of the world. Life here can cause one to get a terrible case of "tunnel vision".

My sincerest condolences to all those adversely affected by this storm of storms!

I think if such a thing were to happen in Japan, it would completely cripple us.
