:yippie:

I didn't have to go into work today!!!
I'm thinking that if he came in today, he'll be in tomorrow.
So I won't have to work tomorrow.... <crosses fingers>
But that leaves next weekend. :x
They're looking at another employee in the facility who want the weekend position, but they have to find someone to take her place. I'm told they are close to that deal as well.
Let's hope it comes to fruition soon so I will only have to work next weekend only.

*peers out the window*
Ooooooo. Sand. Lots and lots of sand. No one tell my cat, ok? She'll be in kitty heaven. :D

*herds the pirates into the hold and locks the door behind them*
Well, at least until we find out which Vulcan we're landed on.
If we need their abilities, we'll tell them there's a bunch of pilliaging and treasure out there and for them to go get 'em. :D

Hmmm, guess I best go looking for Surak, just in case.

The nose cold is much better already, thanks for asking, Scribbles.

Calma, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for another day off for you, and for no weekend shifts after next weekend.

All that sand just makes me thirsty...

And, did someone mention MoME?

Why you lookin' at me? :P I think someone far more familiar with Vulcan than me should lead the way . . . maybe Calma has some "in" with the local famous families . . . ;)

Besides, I'm supposed to be cutting the grass right now . . . guess I should do that . . .

*Who?*
*ME?!!*

Ok, ok...
*Live Long and Prosper*

How's that?
Sheesh.... Just 'cause I married a Trekker y'all go and think I know all about it.

No, I didn't have to work today. :yippie:
But I still ran into idiots.
We got lazy and for dinner decided to do Burger King.
I ordered a Whopper with cheese. NO pickles. NO ketchup.
I got home opened the burger and what did I see?
Yep... Pickles and Ketchup. :P
So I removed the pickles and dabbed off the ketchup as best I could and put the blinkin' thing back together. Then I cut it in half and what did I discover...?

TWO PATTIES!!!

Yep, I got someone else's burger.
So, while I got more than I paid for, I didn't get what I wanted.
I would have loved to be the little fly on the wall when the person who got my burger bit into it. You see, while I brought mine home, all the others were waiting to eat it there. Someone probably got an earful this evening. Too bad I missed it.
I could only eat half of it, so I wrapped the half I couldn't finish and I'll have it for dinner tomorrow.

Steps around Scribbles and puts the tribble in a steel re-enforced cat carrier and closes the door then double locks it with mod strength padlocks.
*Now just don't feed it, ok?*

Any sign of our hosts yet?
Or do we have to release the scallywags?

Hope we don't confuse the Ambassador with this visit.
He might think we've come to pick him up for MoST...

Walk behind. And it's a workout since our property has a slight slope and this gosh-darned mower is an Industrial Model (guys just looooove their industrial models ) and weighs as much as a compact car . . . ;)

I'm glad you didn't have to work today too! And you know, ineptitude at Burger King must be universal. I can't even count the number of times I've gone in the place, next to NO customers so it's not like it's ultra busy - and they either get my order wrong, or, as in the last time I was there, LOSE IT. yeah. Between the cash register and the kitchen . . . 10 feet all tolled, and they LOST IT. Nearly 30 minutes and two orders filled after mine later, and they finally found it . . . Lo and behold, I got it home and yeah, not exactly what I ordered either . . . I swore, I was never stepping foot in the place again . . .

Too bad Wendy's is so much farther away, but I know now it's worth the drive. ;)

sheaths her sword and straightens her vest . . .

Okay, lead on!

MOME?? is it time to think about that again??? well I'm hoping I will know what I'm doing at the new job by then otherwise Boromir may not be popping is as often as normal for a MOME month. JUst sayin they may frown upon ME beauty contests...maybe during lunchtime...and I could log on more at home but I only have dial up so it will be slooooooooooooow going for me.

back from mountains (Gandalf) now. NOt cold, just windy.

Had today off as well. Did my tax, went to physio, tried to have skis refitted but they need a tad more work and went to see HP5 again. I really like this soundtrack. May have to buy it...where's that Amazon button? can one access it from Vulcan??

goes to find Spock's terminal...

*da wench comes out of the luggage compartment, looks around, realizes she doesn't have a clue about this place....goes back to sleep next to Scribbles duffle bag*

Sounds like everyone made it through the weekend. :) We spent saturday at a six flags amusement park up the road, at my company's picnic. I like the way that worked out, because you could arrive anytime you wanted, and the only time you had to see work people was at the lunch they provided, then off you go back to the rides and water park and such. And while an amusement park isn't my idea of a great family outing, the kids had a blast and the price was right. But I was whooped by the end of the day.

And yesterday we drove up into the Adirondacks to drop my daughter off at a wilderness camp. Its just for 4 days, but I miss her. She really is my buddy now. Now it's back to work....and another crazy week.

Glad you didn't have to work this weekend Calma! And NL....are you getting ready for the new job? Praying that you aren't too nervous....change isn't easy, at least for me. :)

Well, I'm off to sample a sump then hang out at a soil incinerator....such a glamorous job I have.

Have a great week on Vulcan!!!

Physio nl? What are you getting physio for? You didn't mangle youself on your last trip and didn't tell us, did you? Oh, and I think there's a computer terminal around here somewhere, I can hear Scotty . . . "Computer?" Computer!" Just follow the Scots accent . . . ;)

Wenchie! tucks an extra pillow under da Wench's head . . . That duffle is a mite lumpy, what with all the "heavy artillery" I tend to haul about . . . ;) Actually, your job sounds interesting. I sit on my rump at a desk all day, burning my eyes out at a computer terminal. Then I come home and . . . well, never mind. ;):D:D

I have today off as a day of vacation (another long weekend!), and have the joy of spending a part of it scouring the city trying to find a vacuum valve rebuild kit for our external hose bib. Yeah. I have all the fun . . .

no, despite rumours Tooks or Scribbles did not damage me on my last trip.
;) I have weak forearm muscles and they got overworked with mousing and computer work at a job back in 2003. They seem to stay in a state of "tenseness" and I need the physio to release that about once a month or I am in pain and get adhensions which I really don't want as they are painful to get rid of. (bascially muscles turn into knots and have to be pushed on very hard to release. I get bruises that way!!)

so anything to drink on this emotion forsaken planet???

Water? I wasn't thinking of water . . . snags two of Tooks' triple Vulcan Mind Probes and hands one to NL . . . Aaahhhh, not quite the kick of Harlindon Clearwater, but it'll do nicely . . . slams it back, then smacks her lips . . .

Ah, that sounds almost akin to Tennis Elbow. I got that from an intense mousing bout a few years ago, and went for that electro-stimulus thingy. Fixed me right up. ;) I'm glad you're getting it looked after . . . ;)

Sorry to hear your day was a toilet-tuber, rowanberry. Hopefully, tomorrow will be better?

Worm? grabs the worm from Tooks and crushes it in her fist . . . then wipes the mess on a convenient stone wall . . . Are you mad? I've heard nothing good about the worms on some of these planets . . .

*finishes the triple Vulcan Mind Probe*

Aah, that's better. :)

Yesterday, I felt that I had to run around like a headless chicken, trying to concentrate on a million things at one time. The main reason was that, daughter #1 was leaving for an excursion for a week this morning, and had a lot of last-minute arrangements to do so, I had to drive her around after I got home from work, and see that she takes everything necessary with her. Also, there was some mess with daughter #2:s school transport - she was booked for an all too early car homeward - so, I had to make a few phone calls to get her schedule right. Add to that work and chores. Plus that, it was hot as Mordor. You bet that I passed out as soon as my head hit the pillow! But now, daughter #1 is already there and everything's fine, and daughter #2 arrived with the correct transport. Whew.

But, I bet that I'll pass out this evening as well.

poor Rowan. Life is very busy at the Berry household.

Got asked to a friends for pizza on saturday. we are gonna watch Hot Fuzz which I hear is rather funny, in a black comedy way. She would fit rather well on the board I think, but I doubt she has the time to do so with 3 kids, dog and husband.

“Tooks!” Captain Kirk cried out. “It’s good to see you….and the others, I guess.” He frowned. “It’s not February yet, is it?”

“No…no….we just wanted to visit Vulcan. And we’re happy we arrived in the right time.”

“Well, come on. I’m meeting Spock and Sarek for lunch….”
