Yes, I created a verb. :P

Birdy! Where is your brilliance? Your captivatingness! Captivity?

....

Well, anyhoo...that's just one person, that doesn't excuse the rest of you! :P

In other news, I'm going to a corn maze this Friday - woooooo! :happydance:

Not the sht00pid haunted kind, but the kind that's really long and twisty and maze-y. And they have really good caramel apple cider.

And a pumpkin slingshot...so fun. ;)

*is totally jealous*

That sounds like a lot of fun!

Elfy! Your not Imi's kid? What????

BT! How can Dark Castle be an epic fail? I loved it! But then again, I went on a day when it was over 100 degrees and that ride is air conditioned and sprays you with mist in line.

It's not like corn mazes are exclusive to Washington.

You should look one up and go - they're fabulous! :D

I'm shocked beyond belief! I don't know if I can go on.

My room mate wants to go to a haunted corn maze but I'm not to thrilled about it.

Birdy sneaked into the Emporium sidling into the shadows hoping to avoid being seen. All she needed was that cup of coffee and last donu.... Drat. She made a mental note to disable the floodlight at a later date as she stood looking sheepishly at the others. Maybe more deer-in-the-headlights than sheepish.

"Hi?" she stammered, "anything new?"

BT shook his head,"I promised them brilliance, Birdy."

"Oh, yeah... that. Would tinfoil do? We could make hats!" :D

Birdy, did you watch Fringe tonight?

It's definitely my new favorite show, by the way. :P

Now brilliance Birdy! I demand it!

So I had a dream the other night that a friend and I were killing Uruk-hai. I think I was Aragorn and she was Legolas. Gimli died, and then I started using his axe because I'd lost my sword.

This is the first time in years that I've had a LOTR dream, and nothing really to prompt it (haven't seen the friend, haven't seen LOTR, etc....)

Harbinger of doom? YOU decide. :P

It's the end of an age and the passing of an era. :(

I just got a 98% on a test. :D And it was an immensely difficult test, at that. *thinks she likes these cool study skillz*

So is anyone dressing up for halloween? I don't trick-or-treat anymore (sadly) and would spend most of the day around the house, so I don't quite see a point to doing it (although I might break out one of my Saxon-ish dresses, depending on how cold it is).

I thought everyone knew. Oh well. :P

I haven't dressed up and trick-or-treated for years. I don't really plan to dress up, but there are some awesome fairy and dragonfly wings being sold at Hot Topic, so I was thinking about buying them and just wearing them to class all day around that time or something. :D

Ro - That would be fun.

I worked at a regular corn maze a couple years ago...fun job.

Ugluk - Doom for who? The Uruk-Hai? You need to watch out for yourself, apparently. :P

I haven't trick-or-treated in a very long time, but my church puts on a thing every Halloween. Kind of an activity night with a positive and not scary atmosphere so I'll wear a costume for that if I decide to help out. There's also a couple at church that holds a ginormo Halloween party the Saturday closest to Halloween so I'll go to that.

I need costume ideas.

Our church is doing "Trunk 'n Treat", where people from church bring their cars to a location (this year it's a big parking lot), park in a circle with the trunks facing inward, and stuff the trunks with candy. Last year they had about 2,500 people show up, mostly school children. :) My flatmate and I are helping this year (I'm bringing Camden, not sure how I'm going to decorate him just yet) and we're both making elvish dresses. I want to find some pointy ears, and perhaps a wig as well, since I have short hair now.

I started a full-time, permanent job this week, and I'm also taking one class (graduating in December), so I'll have even less time to post than I did this summer. :| I'll try to still pop in occasionally though.

Now I'm off to find some supper, and then it'll be time to leave for Bible study. My schedule is so crazy, lol. :P

Haha, I'm an orphan too. :P

The last time I dressed up for Halloween was three years ago, and I just hung around the house in it. Trick-or-treating is probably 4 years back, then. I bet a bunch of folks'll be Twilight vamps or werewolves this year.

Anyway, sorry I haven't been on, I've been in such a funk for days. :(

Ugluk, you removed me from the thread title! *chases him around with a pillow, intending to use it as a weapon*

Fix'd. :P

My first post. I'm the one who changes the title. Although admittedly Imi came up with it, so credit where credit due.

Did someone say 'Fringe'?? I've been wanting to watch that show but I keep forgetting. How is it? What's it about? I should look it up & see if I can watch the missed shows on-line.

Halloween.. I love making costumes... we don't get too many kids here though.. I like to dress up and freak them out.. hee hee.

Opps...I forgot you started this thread. Then again it's been so long since it was started that it's easier to forget.

In the next thread we should make it a goal to have it finished in at least half a year! This is pathetic!

Imi, I don't watch Fringe. Was that episode good? The easiest costume to do is a gypsy. Just hit a Salvation Army and you're good. ;)

*glomps Teh* :D :P

If you do a search on hulu.com, Rose, you should find episodes of Fringe. :)

Birdy - I asked kind of as half-joke because Tuesday's episode made a slight reference to foil. :P

Rose - Hello and welcome to the Emporium! :D:D:D

Anyhoo...it's pretty good. I like it so far. I can't really explain what it's about because I missed the first episode, but there's something about the Pattern and they're trying to figure out the Pattern or find the Pattern or...something. Anyway, the Pattern is important. :P

It's about paranormal stuff, possible extra terrestrial stuff, though aliens haven't really come up yet. Just stuff that's out of the ordinary.

And John Noble is in it and plays a guy who was locked in an asylum for 17 years when he wasn't really crazy. And it makes him act really weird now. ;)
