Yes, got to try and recover from the introductory parties, and go to see what I've got in my closet...

There's a reason why I only do cross-country skiing.

Hey all. I started the official thread. I apologize if it sounds a little lame, I just had to put my childhood friend and companion down. :( (Not the same one we are trying to find a home for, she, actually, tore up my other doggie pretty bad and we decided it'd be kinder to put her down quickly and without pain than to nurse her back to health just to be weaker than she was before.) :cry2:

I'm so sorry, Dubs. :(

Today, there was a farewell party for a coworker who is leaving for a new job. It made me a bit sad - seems that everybody who can, votes with their feet because of the general atmosphere of the institute. :( I will do that as well, if only I can find something else.

Maybe he would start thinking of a strategy for the inevitable food fight. You know, dropping pies on people from a ventilation channel above, or something like that.

But, isn't it just typical that everything that needs fixing, happens just before or on the weekend.

Dubs - so sorry :( it's hard to lose a furry friend.

RowB - Hope you find a new work place before you explode - or implode!

Tooks - mr syl and I installed a new toilet seal a few months back - it was the high point of my weekend. Our other toilet has a cracked tank as well so we get to do the same as you! I cannot stress enough - WEAR GLOVES!!!!! and get plenty of back up gloves too!! As for what Scotty would do - he'd be the one request a beam outta there!!

Tygarya - :mightysquid: yeah I can see a moon or two!

It's my babyman's birthday today...
Yep, he's my 6 foot 5 Ground Hog. :D

I asked him where he would like to go to dinner.
Any place you want, I said.
Red Lobster?
El Sombrero?
Family Pancake House?

Ya know what he said?

Burger King.

 Yeah, he wants the King for his birthday dinner.
Oh well, it's birthday.
I got off cheap. :D

Have a good day.

Have it your way..."

we shall get on very well then! ;) :D

weekend over. :( went to see folks and SIL's 37th b'day. played with the neice and nephew. We were at this playground, Andrew (2 1/4) falls of a jungle gym thingy to the ground, gets up and starts to climb it again. No tears, no needing mummy. I have seen big boofy 3 yr olds fall in our chuch hall and run crying to their mum. My nephew is tough and a little crazy.

also purchased Stardust and have watched it twice so far. Robin Hood is back on tonight so that's good! glad ratings are almost back. summer viewing sucks! but who knows what will last due to the writer's strike still ongoing. Pay the poor people!!! they work hard!!!

Burger King? Well, I or Mr Rowan wouldn't get off quite that cheap, although we probably wouldn't choose the most expensive restaurant in the city, either!

nl, your nephew sounds like my younger daughter. Small bumps and bruises didn't matter, she had to really hurt herself before she ran to me crying! 8)

Argh, weekend's over soon. Why do they always go so quickly? :(

I thought Stardust was a great little movie. Anything w/ Peter OToole, ferrets, and a unicorn in it and I'm going to be more than a little biased. I've been trying to get Aerin to see it but I don't think she's going for it :)
