Happy Torciversary, nl! 8)

I usually tend to find what I'm looking for, even in the mess that our house occasionally is - except after the hubby has been cleaning. He doesn't seem to be able to put anything back just where it was...

Hope you got a good rest, Calma. My workdays haven't been nearly as hectic as yours, but even they tend to suck me dry.

Happy Waitangi day to Tyg!!! (hope I spelt that right...)

my poor little bro lost his job friday. He has been casual for 4 months now at a transport company but they wanted him to do interstate runs and since he has a young family, he said no, so they put him off. :( Now he has to find new work.

NL....Congratulations on the 5 years!!!!! wOOt!!!!

And sorry about your brother there. He'll find another job soon, I hope.

Waves to all the Tookies! :hihi:

I've been a bit remiss in posting, just too much going on and no energy. Like an idiot I recontracted pnuemonia, and my doctor is really mad at me....so I've been laying low, and even stayed home yesterday when I needed to be at work and just rested....for the most part. Good for me!! I think the drugs have finally kicked in and I'm on the mend. I really am so sick of being sick....this has not been my winter. I hope this is the end of it.

Happy Waitangi Day Tygara!!!! One of my favorite holidays! I will have to email my old coworkers to wish them a Happy Waitangi day too!

I will catch up with MoST soon....my eyelids are getting heavy.....

Yeah, yeah..... I know. I usually listen to people but in some cases I've got to learn the hard way. I usually regret that.

Boxes? I still have some boxes in the attic above our garage that I haven't even touched since we moved to this house...15 years ago. Maybe that should be on this summers to do list. :D

OK, gotta run to get ready for work. It's POURING rain here....blech. But this weekend it should get really cold again. When it's winter, I want snow....not cold rain.

Yea. Crappy winter. :P

Rainy...gray here. Warm too. :P

But by Sunday it'll be cold again (but no snow?).

What's going on here? Group stalking? :P

Sorry about your brother, nl. Hope he finds a better job soon.

Crappy winter here, too. In the suburbs where I live, there's still some snow from the last snowfall; but in the city where I work, there are only a few dirty piles on the side of the street that are quickly melting. :(

*sneaks in to use the salmon of correction on Wench*

Hope you feel better real soon.
Finagle a week off, will ya...

Thanks for the pics, Tooks...

sigh...
I miss that voice.
Dang how I miss that voice.

I'm having a crappy winter, too.
But it's not from lack of snow.
It's from having it. :P
I've had enough of this cold, wet, and nasty weather.
Y'all can have this stuff and be welcome to it.

Well, back to work I go.
A nurse came in looking for a job, so keep your fingers crossed that she gets hired and that she wants to take the position so the weekend cook can stop being a med-aid and go back to being the weekend cook and I can go back to a normal schedule.

Hope MoST is going well.

MoST is approaching the traditional food fight... =:)

Calma, I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that the nurse will get hired.

We should either have a proper amount of snow, or none at all. Now, it snows for a day or two, then it gets warmer and rainy again, and the snow melts, and everything is wet and slushy and slippery. Not to mention that, the sun has been a rare sight this winter - even some sunlight would make it feel less crappy.

Thank you

It was a lovely day off mid week, makes the week so much easier i think Wed off should be a permanent thing

Wenchie - Why is Waitangi one of your favourite holidays....you don't even celebrate it :?

Also, we are having great debate here to change the name of it back to New Zealand Day which it used to be :)

We are also looking at the possibility of having an extra holiday to celebrate the life of Sir Ed....hope that happens

Weather here is a sunny 20 degrees celcius :)

True, but it has the coolest name. Just say it out loud several times....Waitangi, Waitangi, Waitangi.....very cool. :D And, because of me, more Americans know about Waitangi, as I wish people Happy Waitangi Day all day. Educational and fun to say!

So don't change it to New Zealand Day....I know it's controversial, but don't do that....for me.

Controversial??

That's putting it lightly :D

and I will put your suggestions forward on reasons to keep it Waitangi Day....don't know if they (politicians and activists) will listen but I will try for you :D:D

However, I'm not awake until around 9 am. :P

So, the first 1 to 1.5 hours goes to deleting junk mail, playing Spider Solitaire, and checking a website or two.

How come I always miss the Chippendales? They came a couple years ago to Alamosa when I was pregnant and my best friend didn't invite me to go with her because she thought I wouldn't be up to it. Needless to say I wasn't happy. At least here they're in print and I can imagine. :D :P
