Ahha, a new captive! Hello, Lee! 8) And yes, I've noticed that movie kiss thing too.

Star Trek Captains month? Sounds great, although just like with the Muppets, I'm not sure how much I will play. Unless I get some strange inspiration and start hunting pics of Ben Sisko... :P

Iris, that's quite a considerable collection of autographs! 8)

I must say that I'll be really glad when the graduation party is over. Did (hopefully) all the grocery shopping today, and lost my nerves quite a few times. Tomorrow will be mostly spent in the kitchen.

I met the real Lieutenant Uhura (Nichelle Nichols) in Atlanta in 2002. She is a real cool lady. Very classy even in her older age.

Yes if I still had the picture I am sure it would be worth quite a bit. It was from his first season on the show.

I used to wonder why Elton wore those outlandish costumes.
His music was enough to hook me, but then, I suppose we all need a gimmick, eh?

Hmmm, Star Trek Captain's month...
Works for me.

Lesseee...
I've met Nichelle Nichols, George Takai, James Doohan, Mark Lenard, and Majel Barrett, and gotten their autographs. Mark Lenard, the poor man I totally stalked him at Trek 20 in Spokane.

I've seen William Shatner (he did dramatic readings to the Seattle Symphony. I bought the tickets to surprise my babyman on his birthday before he was my babyman. He was ecstatic! Mommy did good. :D), Leonard Nimoy (a third row seat for that one. :D), DeForest Kelly (front row for him. There was a lady in a wheel chair beside me and we plotted to kidnap him. I was going to grab him, put him on her lap while my friend pushed the chair really fast and I ran interference. We laughed like crazy over the look on his face if we could have pulled it of, that is."), Gene Roddenberry (I was about a foot from him and I was the person who was behind the cut off for his autograph. RATS!! :x) , and Walter Keoning, who, in my opinion was a real smuck.

Anti geek :P

And we can make a month out of anything huh? How about two paperclips, a candy wrapper and five pieces of dryer lint?

;)

I still think we should have nail painting month. Y'know, go to hardware stores and get some paint and nails...

:P

I need help.

And hello to Wenchie! S'okay dear! I'm not bitter about it.

I really prefer Picard of all the "official" captains, although all of them were awesome. :)

Captain month sounds cool! And yes, Sulu was captain of another ship in Generations? Been a while since I saw it.

Dubs, Picard is my favourite Captain as well (well besides Mal but he
doesn't count in this instance...) Just don't let Picard talk to da Scribe. She has an aversion to him. :D

Lesseee...

Whoa! Calma is a GEEK!!!!!

I have been in the same room with Patrick Stewart when he did an interview for "Generations" yonks ago. And also saw him on stage being Claudius in Hamlet when I stalk...er..went to see David Tennant.

Oh on the work front, I actually got the assitant to do something I needed yesterday. I asked where she was up to and if she was able to do the marathon timing for me. She said not yet (when I know she was just fiddling with saturday stuff and it wasn't required until today) so I said that I would do it if she couldn't (though I didn't have the time) and then after I did it myself, she turns around and says she can do it now. I quickly remoeved what I had done and made her do it again. So in the end I won, finally making her do what I asked. WHich is kinda pathetic as I'd already done it...

Go NL! She wins one!

So I'm the anti-geek. That actually does describe me a bit, in many area's of my life. I'm always the outsider looking in..... strange.

OK, everyone. Please could we have a moment of silence for Beard Face (or, for those fans of Scrubs, Beard Fa-say). :( About 11:00 last night, while reading in bed, we heard a horrible screeching from the area of the chicken coop. Having heard that sound many times....I knew someone was getting eaten, or at least killed. My husband ran out and found instead of three chickens, there were two....and lots of black feathers. He had forgotten to shut the coop door. So Beard Face was taken away into the great beyond, to become dinner to a racoon, or fisher, or weasel, or some night critter. Ahhh, the circle of life. And I think she was the one who laid the green eggs, bummer.

Thanks....she was a good chicken, as chickens go. :) We are used to this. Used to be that the kids would get all upset when one kicked the bucket, but now they don't bat an eye. Although Beard Face was a favorite.

We have (had ) three black chickens, that all lay different color eggs....white, brown and green. I think Beard Face (a polish breed that had a beard, hence the name by my daughter). So...now we are down to two. Frelga and Fruit Bat II. Frelga is still going strong and a good layer, but getting older. Fruit Bat is the younger, one we inherited from my neighbor across the street.

I'll miss the Beard Face though....cool looking chicken. Oh well.

Yes, Rwhen, we have a Frelga. :D In fact, I believe that other than Cowleena, Frelga is one of the best chicken names ever. Which is why I named one Frelga....after our Frelga. Not sure if our Frelga is pleased with that or not, but there is nothing to be done if she isn't. Frelga it is.
