Happy New Year to all the Fazgul.

SM - I fear the collective silliness and fun of the past couple of years is a thing of the past. I don't know why - maybe the LOTR bubble has burst, and although we are all still in love with the film, and with Faz, the euphoria has settled - a bit like marriage.

If anyone wants to go to Creative Juices, I've been compiling the Best of the Faz threads from the past couple of years. Quite a way to go yet though!

POI I believe you are right. I'm not sure if it's a burst bubble or that the majority of those that contributed to the hilarity are no longer posting on TORC or very, very rarely. I think the only ones left are you, pFaz, MIS, Sue, lhaewin, Steff and me. The new breed of Fazgul seem more philosophical.

I'll be sure to check out Creative Juices and see what you have managed to save.

pFaz You need to pay me a visit at you-know-where! *insert begging emoticon*

edit to add...POI, I just got back from Creative Juices and all I can say is I defected? I'm afraid I've defected from my initial defection!

Good morning Fazguls

I'm happy about 300 coming at xmas. I started a "300" thread in m00bies but no one is posting there except Telemachos once. So if anyone is interested, its there... :)

I'm loving the new sigs!! Gorgeous PoI, is that from the AAA interview?

Yours too, SM, very yumsicly....I'll be over in a jiffy...

Have we entered a new age of swooning? A philosophical age? I thought we were philosophical before too, with our deep discussions on Faz, etc...

I think we were, but topics had a tendency to get lighthearted much more quickly then.

the one ring celebration! yesss

Ooo, am I philosophical?

For every Fazgul that is birthed, David drinks one glass of champagne. So, too, do the flowers bloom in May, like the death of man reversed...

silliness comes later; even now, I am reluctant. David has a noble nose, *light mischevous chuckle*

Happy 2006 to all Fazgul!

The intensity of our passion hasn't faded, but we're a smaller group now. It's harder to sustain lightheartedness and parodies when people aren't posting as often. Perhaps because LOTR has now receded into history and the actors have long since gone on to other projects, we've lost a little of that communal craziness, where everybody had seen the films and was drinking from the same batch of Kool-Aid. Now we find ourselves speculating all the time about upcoming movies and TV shows, with only a few screen caps or news clips to provide common fodder for discussion. "Van Helsing" was the last widely released David project, and that was nearly 2 years ago. :( :|

SM - I can't even keep track of all your defections. You're a citizen of many nations. 8)

RQ - welcome back! Good to see you around. Did you road-trip to Montreal over Christmas?

Sw  :Q :woah: :o N for our cyclopped Daisy! "It's all fun and games till someone loses an eye." :nono:

Not a double post...I just wanted to hee-haw merrily at PFaz and Phan's philosophical musings. :)

1. I perve, therefore I am.

2. Every time a Fazgul swoons, an angel gets its wings.

Sorry, double post for some reason..... :P

You can lead a perver to David, but you cant make them swoon...

And perhaps I shall be the last one swooning.

last one laughing

how does that go?

last man laughing

last man standing

edit: LOL!... *confused* the posts are confusing me

but I laugh at all of them! lol!

If a DW movie is released at an obscure film festival in Croatia, and no one is there to see it, does it still make a sound?

How many Eddie Harnoveys can dance to Joy Division on the head of a pin?

lolol

This isn't really philosophical, but uh,

If we surrounded a fazgul with 7 DW DVDs, then asked all of DW's characters to walk around the fazgul and the DVDs in concentric circles,

would the fazgul begin to levitate?

I think you could make her levitate without the DVDs, Phan... :P

If 1000 DW swooners were perving over David movies for 100 hours would they accidentally film a David movie???

What is the sound of one minded perving?

 PFaz!

Depends on the DVDs, Phan. If one of them is the LOTR extended edition with polystone Argonath bookends, it could list to one side and throw the whole shooting match out of whack. Similarly, if one of the characters is Johnny Spit, he might not weigh enough to counterbalance the rest of the circle. Better put a helmet on that Fazgul, just in case.

"The unexamined David film is still worth watching."

 well, they are walking... walking in concentric circles, so there is a balance along the circle, but okay.

Hm. Balance. That sounds vaguely, Taoistly philosophical. Every redhead must implicitly contain its opposite, for the universe to remain balanced.

Ah, grasshopper......what is the yin to David's yang?

a. Vin Diesel
b. Monster truck rallies
c. Reality television
d. A sock full of Canadian pennies

Yeah I am so not like this in real life.

Is it on a website somewhere?

I never had it via yousendit.

I've got so many bookmarked sites it would take an age to find it, but I'll start looking and get back to you in the summer. ;)

MIS  Something like that!

What is the sound of one minded perving?

pFaz Do you mean one minded or single minded? For if it is the sound of single minded perving, that is the sound of your sister.

From the Fazgul 2nd Law of Swooning:
If the swooning of an object (David) changes there must be a resultant force (Marton) acting on it. This force (Marton) is equal to the change in swooning divided by the time (or freqeuncy) during which the force (Marton movies) occurs.

At least that explains my behavior.

May the Force be with you. Or me. Preferrably me.

Happy Saturday, all! :)

Thanks to MoH's kind generosity, I watched 'Molokai' last night-good film, and David did a great job in it! He pulled off the strength of spirit and righteous anger very well. And I enjoyed seeing Derek Jacobi, Sam Neil and Peter O'Toole as well! And I didn't even recognize Kris Kristofferson until I took another look at the DVD box-he did a good job too, I didn't even know he was still acting!

MoH, I really apologize for not being able to get to all the great David stuff you sent me before now!! Things have been kinda nuts lately-if you need them back, please let me know!

Think I'll watch 'Gettin Square' next!

Have a great weekend, everyone!

SWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON for David/ Faramir!!

Sue :)
