Man/Woman of September

Postby Ugluk » Sat Sep 01, 2007 5:54 pm

September. It's Bilbo's birthday this month, as is Frodo's. A rather refreshing month, as the leaves begin to fall from the trees, or simply change color, or both.

Rules:

1) You can only vote once a day *
2) You can't vote for the same person two days in a row **
3) You must state why you voted for the person
4) Person must be Lord of the Rings/Tolkien related
5) Votes must be in bold
6) You can't vote for Gandalf because he won last month

* This applies to whatever time zone you are in. Even if the TORC time works out so according to it you're posting within the same day, it doesn't matter. But don't abuse your authority.
** This means you may not vote for the same person consecutively. If you vote for Frodo Monday and do not vote at all Tuesday, than you cannot vote for Frodo on Wednesday.

Due to popular request, this is the list of the previous winners. As each month passes, we will add the winner to it:

June '03 Haldir
July '03 Orophin
August '03 Legolas
September '03 Frodo
October '03 Sam
November '03 Beren
December '03 Faramir
January '04 Pippin
February '04 Faramir
March '04 Eowyn
April '04 Aragorn
May '04 Boromir
June '04 Eomer
July '04 Faramir
August '04 Theodred
September '04 Faramir
October '04 Merry
November '04 Legolas
December '04 Faramir
January '05 Turin
February '05 Eowyn
March '05 Faramir
April '05 Gandalf
May '05 Faramir
June '05 Gimli
July '05 Faramir
Augest '05 Legolas
September '05 Faramir
October '05 Galadriel
November '05 Frodo
December '05 Faramir
January '06 Tolkien
February '06 Luthien
March '06 Faramir
April '06 Aragorn
May '06 The Moth
June '06 Eomer
July '06 Faramir
August '06 Boromir
September '06 Faramir
October '06 Celeborn
November '06 Bill the Pony
December '06 Faramir
January '07 Maedhros
February '07 Ugluk
March '07 Rosie
April '07 Arwen
May '07 Bilbo
June '07 Legolas
July '07 Shadowfax
August '07 Gandalf

If you missed voting the first day due to time zones, you may vote twice for the missed day and the current day. This only applies for the first day of the month. If you are going to be gone for several days, you may not post multiple votes in a single post, to have them "apply" for later days. They will not be counted.

Elrond, because the poor guy has never won. Besides, he kicked some major butt at the Last Alliance.

Elrond because maybe he'll smile for once if he wins (perhaps not ever winning is the reason for his perpetual frown??)

Merry because today was a very fun day (which is strange, seeing as yesterday was definitely not, I don't usually swing so fast around).
