Is the game worth it?

I've dabbled in MMORPGs but never got too involved with them.

I noticed that LotRO is free now. I'm currently downloading the game client and it's going to be 2+ hours.

So is the game worth the wait to play?

EDIT: I have the game downloaded and have started to play. I'm enjoying it a lot! Really makes you feel as if you're in the movies/books but playing out different story plots! I'll check out the other threads and try to get on a server where other TORC players are on.

I'm sure you've figured this out by now, especially with your update, but it's definitely worth it! I've been playing for almost a year now and continue to be addicted. I play in Imladris mainly, but have started alts and a few different servers. I've heard a lot of TORCers play on Landroval. Which one are you on?
