Thank You, Captain Obvious!

Oh Eerowynne. . .

Aid arrives from the Garrison to assist Rorgloin and Company and- Suprise! It is Chromlek and Toladan.

Mama is not very pleased with the Company's slaughtering of her babies. She also brought aunty!

Bravely Bold Lord Bori arrives, conveniently after the death of the spider queen. He opens a door before deciding to let the Company continue alone. Big help, buddy.

The Hall of Mithril?

Rorgloin discovers that Lord Broin, who had been taken by the Watcher in the Water, yet lives. Broin mumbles something about the watcher in the water being near. . .

Suddenly, the Watcher in the Water appears and attacks the Company. The Company is defeated and retreats.

The Lady Athelian, newly arrived to rescue R&C from yet another peril.

The Watcher swims down into the depths of the pool below and the Company regroups on dry stone.

Rogloin is not pleased with Lord Bori's claim to Zigilburk nor with the young Lord's commands for the Company to perform meager slaying tasks for him.

The seed of coruption planted, Rorgloin slowly begins to form a plot to claim Zigilburk as his own.

Broin: "Whether I am near Bori or far from him matters not! Listen to me, Rorgloin, you must tell Bori not to wield Zigilburk! It is too powerful and- and, Rorgloin, I fear it to be cursed. Let it lie with Oin never to be used again!"

This suits Rorgloin's scheme well. . .

Storms rage around the peak of Zirakzigil while Rorgloin sleeps within, in the Peaceful Path Infirmary.

Or tries to, anyway.

Rorgloin and Company returns with to Lord Bori to learn that he has yet another task for them. In an effort to appear willing
to aid the Garrison, Rorgloin agrees to travel to Zabadgathol, fortress of orc king Mazog to slay the orc's elite guards.

While in an audience with Lord Bori, Elywyn becomes angry and slaps the dwarf lord. In his anger, he commands the Company to
return to Zabadgathol in the Second Deep to search of "evidence" of something. Of what he does not specify. This Snipe Hunt leads to a terrible discovery: Tribute to Mazog from Dol Guldur!
Rorgloin returns and tells Bosi of the evidence of the dark tower's influence. That night, Rorgloin has a strange dream. . .

Waking suddenly from his dream, Rorgloin begins wildly plotting to claim his suposed inheritance.

Rorgloin convinces Lord Bori to travel with him to Mazog's fortress with only two other dwarves.

Rorgloin's hand is stayed by Mazog's sudden arrival. The orc king reveals his ally, a sorcerer of Dol guldur, Gortholad who casts a terrible spell on the company, paralyzing them. Rorgloin is allowed to return, alive, to tell of what happened to Bori.

Fearing his life, Lord Brogur flees to an easily defended tunnel called the Deep Way.

Informing Lord Bosi of his son's death, Rorgloin is told that the drums have sounded once more in the deep. The orcs are marching on the Twenty-first Hall, the Deep Way, and Way of Smiths.
