Elywyn joins Rorgloin and Company as Expert Spearwoman
ImageRorgloin and Company begins assisting Lord Brogur and the son of Lord Bosi, Lord Bori, searching for the legendary axe of Durin, Zigilburk. After discovering a few lines mentioning the upper armouries of the third deep and the Hall of Mithril found there, the Company travels to a place known as the drowned treasury. Once there, Lord Bori orders the Company to clear a path through the tunnels, which have been infested with Grodbog, by clearing the passages with the old dwarf machinery.

Bravely Bold Lord Bori arrives, conveniently after the death of the spider queen. He opens a door before deciding to let the Company continue alone. Big help, buddy.

Rorgloin discovers that Lord Broin, who had been taken by the Watcher in the Water, yet lives. Broin mumbles something about the watcher in the water being near. . .

Suddenly, the Watcher in the Water appears and attacks the Company. The Company is defeated and retreats.

Rogloin is not pleased with Lord Bori's claim to Zigilburk nor with the young Lord's commands for the Company to perform meager slaying tasks for him.
Image
The seed of coruption planted, Rorgloin slowly begins to form a plot to claim Zigilburk as his own.
Image
Broin: "Whether I am near Bori or far from him matters not! Listen to me, Rorgloin, you must tell Bori not to wield Zigilburk! It is too powerful and- and, Rorgloin, I fear it to be cursed. Let it lie with Oin never to be used again!"
Image
This suits Rorgloin's scheme well. . .

Storms rage around the peak of Zirakzigil while Rorgloin sleeps within, in the Peaceful Path Infirmary.

Or tries to, anyway.

Rorgloin and Company returns with to Lord Bori to learn that he has yet another task for them. In an effort to appear willing
to aid the Garrison, Rorgloin agrees to travel to Zabadgathol, fortress of orc king Mazog to slay the orc's elite guards.
Image
While in an audience with Lord Bori, Elywyn becomes angry and slaps the dwarf lord. In his anger, he commands the Company to
return to Zabadgathol in the Second Deep to search of "evidence" of something. Of what he does not specify. This Snipe Hunt leads to a terrible discovery: Tribute to Mazog from Dol Guldur!

Rorgloin returns and tells Bosi of the evidence of the dark tower's influence. That night, Rorgloin has a strange dream. . .

Waking suddenly from his dream, Rorgloin begins wildly plotting to claim his suposed inheritance.

Rorgloin convinces Lord Bori to travel with him to Mazog's fortress with only two other dwarves.

Rorgloin's hand is stayed by Mazog's sudden arrival. The orc king reveals his ally, a sorcerer of Dol guldur, Gortholad who casts a terrible spell on the company, paralyzing them. Rorgloin is allowed to return, alive, to tell of what happened to Bori.

Image
Fearing his life, Lord Brogur flees to an easily defended tunnel called the Deep Way.

Image
Informing Lord Bosi of his son's death, Rorgloin is told that the drums have sounded once more in the deep. The orcs are marching on the Twenty-first Hall, the Deep Way, and Way of Smiths.

I have added the adventures in Khazad-dum. I also inserted some screenshots of the Northern High Pass, as the first half of the first post lacked screenshots.

Terrible news reaches Lord Bosi: Mazog's armies move to attack the Twenty-first Hall! Lord Bosi's guards march at once for the Twenty-first Hall to make a hopeless last stand against Mazog's forces but Rorgloin and Company does not acompany them. Rorgloin knows that Balin's Company fell in the Twenty-first Hall and does not intend to suffer the same fate. Therefore, he takes his Company down to the Fourth Deep where Lord Brogur hides in the fortified Deep Way. All seems well at first. . .

The Company is victorious despite all odds. Rorgloin, convinced that Balin's very spirit protects The Company, decides to march to the Twenty-first Hall to assist them there. An elf and a woman who fought alongside the Company in the Deep Way join the Company.

The Company hides within the great forge halls in the Way of Smiths, but disaster stikes when orcs tunnel into the hall.
Image
Image
Victorious in the Way of Smiths, the Company hurries to the Twenty-first Hall. They arrive to find that the merchants and the wounded have evacuated into the Chamber of Mazarbul and that the fortifications are held only by a small number of battle-worn dwarves on their last breaths.

The Twenty-first Hall crippled, the Iron Garrison retreats the Chamber of Mazarbul to make a last stand. All would be lost, but the orc forces wane.

With the aid of the Company, the Iron Garrison turns the tides in battle over the tomb of Balin against the orcs, pushing them out of the Twenty-first Hall. Rorgloin realizes that the expedition may succeed and resolves to travel to Lonely Mountain where he might gain favour with the King under the Mountain, gaining control of Khazad-dum politically. An offer of ambassadorship to Lothlorien provides him the perfect oportunity to do this.

The Company meets a minstrel, Asherlyn in the Dimril Dale who enquires as to the nature of the Servants of the Secret Fire. She is sent to honourable, esteemed, beloved, robust, agile, spectacular Chief Boffo Proudbottom who interviews her for forty days and nights. She is inducted into the Servants of the Secret Fire.

The Company reaches Lothlorien, but are not well recieved by the wood elves there. The elves refuse to grant the Company audience with Lady Galadriel until they rescue a Company of elves that has become lost while attempting to investigate "something" (The elves will not say what) in the Foundations of Stone, below the Seventh Deep of Khazad-dum.
Rorgloin, not knowing how else to reach the Foundations of Stone, devises a genious plan to descend to them involving a substantial amount of rope. When Lord Oafus enquires as to the safety of the plan, Rorgloin becomes angry.

Rorgloin, after hearing rumours of the return of the gaunt lords, decides to flee Eriador for the safety of Lonely Mountain. So began their twenty sixth attempt to journey to Lonely Mountain.

Image

The Company travels to Rivendell. With Rorgloin was Hrossun, nephew of Lord Dori whom Rorgloin was 'keeping an eye on'; Hrossun had been gravely wounded in battle with Ivar the Gaunt Lord. After a few detours in the Trollshaws, the Company reached Rivendell. Lord Elrond

The Company prepares to ascend the mountain path into the Misty Mountains.

Despite a frigid blizzard, the Company reaches the Northern High Pass.

The Company stops for a short rest at a friendly outpost.

A terrible slip splits the Company, but they are luckily able to escape the goblins foraging on the moutnain side and reunite at the mountain path.

The Company stays the night in a dry cave but are ambushed by Goblins! Rorgloin and Eerowynne are captured. . . in the confusion Master Olvi, Aledras, and Slim all disapear. Only the timely arrival of Lady Pareth saves the Company from certain doom within Goblin-town. With her guidance the remains of the Company rescue Rorgloin and Eerowynne.

The Company escapes, but Rorgloin is wounded by a poisoned Goblin arrow. . . Grummli leads the Company to safety in the ruins of an old dwarf fortress where several dwarves have set up an outpost. Hrossun, Galdalrian, and Coenwalh leave in a heroic attempt to distract the persuing goblins. Lady Pareth and Grummli use their knowledge of healing to keep Rorgloin alive until the weaterh clears enough to return to Rivendell where Lord Elrond complete Rorgloin's healing process.

Several days later, in Rivendell, Rorgloin laments the fate of his expedition. Only Lord Oafus, Lady Eerowynne, and Grummli remain from his initial Company. Though it is too late in the year to attempt a crossing OVER the mountains, Rorgloin ponders passing UNDER the mountains. . .

Rorgloin and Company set out from Thorin's Hall on a perilous quest to slay the wicked dragon Brullug deep in the dwarf ruins of Sarnur. With the Company were Lord Oafus and Lady Eerowynne, Servants Kilderkin, Lumineux, Coenmor, Belegdraug, Wiflo, and Edhoriel. (If I forgot anyone, please let me know and I will add you!)

Here following are a series of detailed sketches done by the talented Lady Eerowynne of the events which occured during the expedition:

THE COMPANY RIDES TO SARNUR

THE COMPANY ENCOUNTERS THE COUNCIL OF THE SECRET FIRE, OBVIOUS IMPOSTERS AND SERVANTS OF SAURON. Rorgloin duels their inferior dwarf (obviously the leader).
Image

In an act of mercy worthy of Chief Boffo Proudbottom himself, the Company agrees to allow the infidels to acompany them.

THE COMPANY REACHES THE DRAGON'S LAIR! BRULLUG AWAITS!

THE DRAGON IS SLAIN! BUT TREACHERY RUNS DEEP, FOR THE HOARD WAS NOT TO BE FOUND. . . SUSPICION FALLS UPON THE SINISTER COUNCIL OF THE SECRET FIRE!
Image
Image

A confrontation worthy of Chief Proudbottom's duel with the bat-demon of the Old Forest is avoided narrowly by the lucky discovery of the heartstone of the mountain.

Rest assured, Master Kilderkin was not harmed.
