Just wanted a place to put pictures, memories, postcards, and so forth.

Here are my entries. Feel free to re-use as recruitment posters.

Here are a few more pictures of interest. These need no captions as they speak for themselves.

And I liked these messages that appeared in my chat window:

I cannot figure out how to post a picture in the forums.... can anyone explain it as you would to a child with a head injury... :) And Tule, can anyone post photos in here or is this just for yours?

Anyone can post here, I'm not possessive.

You have to have the pictures you want available on the net somewhere, you can't "upload" them to the forum for storage. Then you must put an afterwords. (you can click on IMG button while editing to help)

For example:

Use the "preview" button to be sure it looks ok before submitting, or else go back and edit afterwords.

OK here goes... a couple of my favorites...
I have a penchant for finding any graphical quirks that I can in game. My favorites are always the hovering fish but I was overjoyed to find the floating cabbage in the lone lands. I also have a weakness for celebrity photos with Arawulf... [img]

"The GIMP" is a free photoshop-like program that I use to crop, shrink, edit, and distort my pictures. You can try that if you want, though it'll have a learning curve. Some photo web sites, like ImageShack have an option to shrink an image when uploading I think.

How's this Ath? Image That big enough? I am part of the Bloodwake Pirates at the fest. We mostly bark for Mac's pub and hand out pirate goodies to kids and the like. My character is "Cannon" Jack Darling, gunnery master aboard ship. This is me just outside of the pub wondering where the hell my ale went.

This was taken some time ago on my older, lower graphics computer, but it's one of my favorite moments in the game

My favorite line from that sequence was Adrien's "pretty cool."

"Pretty cool" is a term frequently used in Middle Earth when one is overcome by emotion, as Adrien so obviously was at that moment.

When one is very excited or overcome with emotion, one tends to flush, making the face blotchy and a little sweaty. Thus the original phrase is "I would be prettier if I were cooler", which I don't have the original Sindarin for. Over time this evolved into the more common and compact phrase "pretty cool".

I was wandering through Haudh Iarchith the other day and this gentleman agreed to pose for a snapshot with me. I'm not positive but I think he was pinching me.

It's places like this that remind me why I love this game so much.

This is the quest text on the obelisk for the "Fire and Ice" quest (1.5.8). For some reason, it vanishes quickly for many players even though everyone claims they didn't click "continue". So here it is for Pareth and Bereleth, and any others:

Thank you so much! At last after three times through that place (hmmm... yet another three!) I know why we're invoking the name of Elbereth at those obelisks!

I suspect it disappears if you are moving or are in the middle of typing when it pops up and hit a key or something. But who knows.

It was a fun time at the festival (though the tag was somewhat less thrilling, alas). I could have danced all night!

Pareth....the game has been back up all day. I haven't heard of anyone having any problems logging on. Maybe you should contact tech support?

Yes...that's my foolish young alt Oakfoot Bottomroot, Brockfoot's son and Warden of the shire. One should take great care when leaping from a cliff into a fast moving river as drowning may be the least of ones worries...
