Hi:)

I'm not sure how to write phrase: Haryat oialea melnenya(You have my love for eternity).

I tried to, but still don't know how to write correctly end-piece "nya" and 3 following vowels in quenya.

And how to write the name Konrad (Conrad)

Help me, please:)

Colm.keane, in fact, what I gave you is the transcription of your name as an English name. What you can do is go on the Official Translation Threads (Sindarin and/or Quenya), have your name translated into one of these languages, come back here, give me the names (and specify in which language this is) and then I'll transcribe it for you. Of course, it will not be the same word, but a translation of it's meaning.

As an example, Michael in Quenya becomes Manveru, to reflect it's meaning "Who [is] like God?".

Be carefull and don't go in sites offering you an automatic translation, because these are just random names offered to you with no link with the meaning of your name.

Jet my friend, thanks for giving me again the impression to have a real great fan club  No jokes I'm happy if you learn something from my work and passion. It will always be a pleasure to help you with your transcriptions... but your post surprise me : haven't I already answered your post this Sunday ? Did you post something else ? I admit I didn't see it if yes ! :?

Fatihaltay... can I do like if Fatih was an English name for the transcription ? I don't know anything about Turkish and I don't know about a special transcription mode for this language.

For all the others, don't worry, you're on the list... but the list is a little long for now !

Hi there. I hope there are people still currently willing to do some Tengwar for me.

I've just had a translation done for in the Quenya thread for "find beauty".

'Á hirë vannessë' or 'Á turë vannessë'

If someone could transcribe that for me, I would greatly appreciate it.

Many thanks in advance and keep up the great work. :)

Do you need just the Quenya phrases in Tengwar, or the English one too ? I imagine it's more for Quenya...

eh... I have a question for Eff too : can I transcribe your name as an English word ? Your sentence is in Quenya, but it is not possible to transcribe Konrad in tengwar as if it was in Quenya, because this combination of letters doesn't exist in Quenya.

hello there - i'm a newbie. :) i stumbled cross this site by chance, and saw this thread. the work seems just amazing ---sooo,
i was thinking about getting
'life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain' as a tattoo.
since the phrase is rather popular, i thought getting it transcribed might make it more personal... so if someone finds the time to do it i'd very much appreciate it (no hurry tho :P)

thanks very very much in advance

Mae Govannen, Isildilmë,

Really good to see you're back- well still here.

Looked to see if anyone had asked you to translate the word

'Writer'

…and couldn't find it- so either I'm going senile, or that’s one you haven't done yet. I’d be very grateful if you could do that for me. Just seems appropriate to get that tattoo; it was reading Tolkien that made me want to pick up my own pen and write.

I'm not sure...is it possible to write this name "Konrad" in sindarin then? And translate whole sentence in the same way?

Thank you SO much, we decided on the English transcription, instead of the Sindarin. I think it turned out lovely.

so, now i had that phrase translated. it's not possible to translate it word by word tho, so i thought maybe you'd be so kind as to transcribe both the english and the quenyan version. so i can try to figure out which one i like better.
would be a great help :D

so in quenya it is

'Coivië umë lemiën tenna i raumo autëa, nas cestiën ista lilta mí rossë.'
("Life isn't for tarrying until the storm passes, it's for seeking to know how to dance in the rain.")

or rather

'Coivië umë lemiën tenna i raumo autëa, nas tuliën ista lilta mí rossë.'

("Life isn't for tarrying until the storm passes, it's for coming to know how to dance in the rain." )

whereas the original english phrase is

'life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain'

please. i'd appreciate it very much (and i'd also appreciate your opinions about which one looks/sounds better :P, since it's going to be a tattoo.rather difficult decision)

thanks in advance :)
