Hello Liadan and Ellora;<BR><BR>First let me check to see if we are allowing 'building permits for Inns' as we had stated that we weren't allowing them for a time and I believe they were included somewhere in the Welcome or Guideline's of this forum. I do like the way you are writing this one with announcements and updates, very refreshing idea!<BR><BR>Ellora let me point out in the Guideline's that it does state "going into another thread to advertise for your own thread is prohibited" (paraphrased). I will be deleting your post here and any others that similar to it on the boards. (those would be considered spamming and that is a TOS violation.) We do not approve of the advertising for your threads because if the thread is well written, it will draw people (RPers) to the thread in its own rite. Please refrain from doing this in the future.<BR><BR>Running-Deer

Running-Deer I left ye a little message at the Guidlines for the GD, I read the Inn section after I posted and I am sorry. If the other MoDs don't agree then, it's okay, it was my fault anyway.<BR><BR><BR>Blessed Be and Merry Meet!

The Tavern master catches the coin and slips it into a green pocket. "Of course ye can have one lad! Tell me, what's yer name, and what parts are ye from?"

I ain't got nothing against 'em or yer kind. I'm Irish meself." The Tavern Master leaned in close to Telpi, "But some folks... they get scared, plain scared." Slapping a hand n the bar the Master stood up and be gan to laugh, "But most o them are off fightin' in wars, I only see some... soon though it should get more crowded..."

(hey this sounds like fun!)<BR><BR>soon a wiery dust coated traveler walks in, she had her face hidden from view wearing a color changing cloak. She is soon followed by a merry looking creature. Not perticularly known to the peoples of Middle-earth, but from a relm that attaches to it. She and her little friend walk up to the Innkeeper. May I have a room please? and perhaps some supper. said the mysterious traveler in a beautiful voice.

Thank you. I would like my supper in my room. If its not to much trouble. I would like some tea, perhaps a bit of steak as well, and some carrots, mushroom (raw mind you.), and some potatoes for my small friend here. He is a creature of the Fairy realm. <BR> The small blue furry creature had a fox like tail and small tuffed ears, but he walked on his hind legs. Very sweet and as some might put it: as Cute as a Button.<BR> Well the mysterious stranger took to sitting in an uncrowded corner till she was then shown to her room. after the maid had left she took of her cloak to reveal an elfish beauty yet an aglessness face that may have come from her being an elf or from something else. She set to brushing her long deep brown highlited hair, and putting a fresh change of clothes on. not a dress but riding pants and a blue silk blouse. soon after she checked on her pet in the den to see if it had cleaned the mud out of its fur yet, when there was a knock at her door. she had to strain her deep brown eyes to see who it was...

I know that the Tavern of Tinkers is new, as is The Green Dragon; but, one of the problems with the Inns and Taverns at the Pony was that some of them were becoming one to three liners about ordering drinks, ordering dinner, chit chat, style posts.<BR><BR>What we really want to see at the Inns are tales of adventure. I would recommend looking at The Laughing Troll here at The Green Dragon for ideas.

OOC: me? sorry. I sometimes loose my creativity.(Or I just wasnt thinking! something that happens often!!!)<BR><BR>IC:Well I think I'll go downstairs for a round of story telling. I need a break. I mean I just jumped at a broomstick falling accross my door!(it had been the odd figure awaiting her!) I really have to loosen up. This quest thing im on is making me a bit over cautious! Calenore gabbed on to her small furry friend. Now look at me I'm talking to you as if you understand!!! I'm getting as crazy as Nimfarra! She was always talking to you before she dissapeared. that or writing in her Journal. What I wouldnt give to know what was in it. Oh great Im still talking to you. Nothing Personal Legoland( why she called you that is beyond me) but I think traveling for months with no other life forms but yourself has mad me a bit cookey upstairs. I need some other elfs to talk to, or people, or Halflings, why Maybe even a dwarf!! Calenore then left Legoland ,after instructing him not to leave and get lost on her, and went downstairs.<BR>She then began to feel at home. she took turns telling stories and singing songs.(I dont have time to tell them, sorry, maybe next time)<BR>Then was content to sit back and listen to the news and stories of others.

"Now all the leprechauns in Ireland drink more than an oxe does his water..." said the Tavern Master. "And let me tell ye something, ain't no leprechaun gettin' free ale in my house, no no. Giddy folks they is I say. But oh, credit 'tis what I give to those pot fillin' fools. For they tell the best stories I've heard on this side of the Tavern no doubt. Did ye know I've met a leprechaun, I did. Now now, do look at me like I've got a couple o' rings loose up in me head. 'Tis true, one night I was walkin' up the path from the Weavers Lodge, and I hears something rustling in the bushes. I was drunker than a leprechaun himself, or so the expression goes I tink, anyways, I grabbed the wee creature from the bush and next things I know I've got a leprechaun in my hand, as big as a shoot of irish whiskey, yes sir! I couldn't believe me own eyes. O' course I let the wee man down, I wasn't going to keep him all for meself. But we had a grand ole time, tellin' stories we did all night long. But soon enough I passed out on the roadside, but so did the leprechaun he was drunker than me!"

"Hmm... I see no reason to laugh at you Tavern Master. I my self have seen a thing or to since leaving Mirkwood, that I have! Well take that blue fluff ball I brought with me, came all the way from FaerieLand, it did. Now dont you look at me like that master dwarf! she said to a dwarf off in a corner. Its real, Faerie land, oh yes its a real place!" <BR><BR>"Yah and I suppose you just pass the second star to the right and go strait on till morning to get there to!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!" someone or other yelled at Calenore.<BR><BR>"Well fine! I said the same thing when my teacher Nimfarra Moonbeam told me it was real. and I must say she took me there as fast as fast can be just to prove it true! That blue fluffball was her pet come strait from Faerie land it was!"<BR><BR>someone or other: "Well where is this teacher of yours now?? Perhaps we'd believe you if you had more witnesses! that blue thing is good proof yes, but it doesnt mean its from faerie land! you could have presdigitized it for all we no!"<BR><BR>" well now that is easier to say than to do. You see I dont rightly know where she's gone. She disapeered one night long ago and I've been surching ever since." She continued with an injured tone."That small blue creature is all that I've had for company for a long time. I've been traveling for weeks, no no perhaps it's been months. I cant really remember, I loose track of time pretty fast. I believe I will retire for the night Master of the Tavern. Maybe tommorrow I will tell some good tales. but till then good night." Calenore sullenly turns to go. Oh yes I would like to stay for at least a week master, if thats no trouble. I do believe I will see you about paying for my stay in the morning. Goodnight..." she noiselessly retreats up the steps back to her room.

A pretty young woman walks into the tavern. Though her flaxen hair is soaked through by the rain and her clothes are as well, she shows no care and with a few lithe steps across the bar she sits down and smiles warmly at the barman. He smiles back at her. "What can I get ye, miss?" He asks, and she smiles broadly, her eyes shining. They are very pretty, a violet color that he had not seen before. "A pint, please." She says very politely with a creamy voice, her hands folded now under her breasts. "Though I have no gold I could tell you a story which might pay." She suggests. The man studies the maiden, and notices a few more things. Though overed by her soaked candlewax-colored hair, her ears are pointed. Her eyes though, they do not give away that she is an Elf, so he wondered about her race. "Cert'ly Miss." The woman nods as he hands her her pint, and she crosses her legs. "You might recognize me." She says, sipping thoughtfully. "For I am the daughter of Fernemire the Shrewd, Spy of Gondor, King of the Spies of Fraldien and friend to Strider the King of Rangers. I am a Ranger as well, and if you so desire, I could tell you a few tales of my travels." The maiden-princess's beautifully rare eyes look up expectantly at the barman and those around her, as if to ask if she should continue.

Calenore turned around to mention one last thing and notices the newcomer. strange, I dont recall seeing anyone like that before but she's familiar. Calenore then trots back down the stairs and up to the womans table. "Hello do I know you? you seem so familiar."but the newcomer doesnt notice her. <i>well I could definetly make her notice me if I chanelled, cause if I did I could weave air and use it to pull her hair! NO!! no more pranks like the ones you pulled at the last inn! you got kicked out that time! you will just wait for her to finish her dinner and notice you!</i> she told herself. She had played a prank like the one she thought to before, it had led to near disaster!<i>Of Course a Seanchan had to be there with a foolish collar to boot!</i> no she would be more careful here. <BR><BR>And she waited...

"O course ye can, pretty lady, although I must tell ye, I'm not quite sure I get yer meanin'. People from all parts of the world come 'ere. I've heard stories but not many tales of Gondor. Not too much 'ere, we get more of supernatural, if ye get my meanin'. Mystism and such 'ere, But course ye can pay for yer pint with a story... that's what we want to hear!" said the Tavern Master.

The woman nods and props her legs up on the table, flips back her flaxen hair and stats to speak. She spoke in a voice low and hesitant, quite the opposite from the friendly tone she chose earlier. "I was five when I first picked up a sword, for where I am from is Fraldien, a town of spies and assassins, there is a rare one who knows not how to use any type of weapon in my father's kingdom." Said she, stirring her drink with her nail thoughtfully. "And I trained vigorously, until I was fourteen. That, good sir, is when my confidence got the better of me. I got into a swordfight with an arrogant woman much older than me, by the name of Varessale. She thought she could beat me in a long dress. Well, she was wrong, I beat her, but she was so frustrated she put a knife in my flank. And then sir, is when I began to get afraid for I got a vision lying there bleeding on the sandy ground, my father and my friends around me. I saw my mother, and she was telling me to go with her, to wherever she was, to a land of dreams or a land of nightmares, I know not which. My mother can communicate by sending dreams or visions, but right then and there I was not sure what to do and was very frightened. It was my father, who jolted me back to conscience. I am glad he did, for if he did not my mother the Dreamspeaker would have had me in the Dreamworld forever." She loks up asking with her eyes to continue.
