No offence Darklon, but I don't think it would be right for any one other than Maeglin to open this thread. He is the one who got it started way back when....

Bummed that IWD 2 dosn`t have any Expansions. I love RPG`s that are just... Get Strong,Get Powerful, and kill everything in sight... <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

Moving on to Morrowind now.

At least IWD 1 had an Official expansion (Heart of Winter),and an un-official one..(Trials of the Lure Master). Made it a good long game....

Thanks you all for understanding<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

And ShadowJack, i think they will expand soon, they are just very busy right now with TWO<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif"border=0> expansions for NWN, so i think we can expect for IWD2 a few too<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>

Don`t know about that. Heard a rumor that there wouldn`t be any expansions to IWD 2,because there dropping the engine that it`s based on... in favor of a new one.

Not sure what there next project is.... hope it`s good. Still have never played NWN`s. To bad you can`t rent computer games like you can Playstation games and such. Be nice to see if you like a game before you buy it. And yea.. I know there are demo`s out there... but just dosn`t ever seem to feel the same.

At present I'm roaming the streets of Baldur's Gate, getting all kind of quests, but not finding the right area's yet, too busy breaking into houses trying to rob those poor inhabitants... and getting caught now and then by the Flaming Fists-cuties <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0><img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

Nicely done. That battle can be pretty tough unless you´ve done some of the sidequests to gain more items and experience...

I guess I've done practically all the quests that are to be found on the way to the city of Baldur's Gate, but I don't know about the special items, didn't use too many 'hightech' stuff <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>, and ofcourse I had to try like 6 times before I finally was victorious <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-devil.gif"border=0>
But the fight in the harbour on the ship was nice too <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>
What are you playing now Themedes?
And good luck Corey12 and Darklon, on the online-gaming!!! <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

I've just started out on Baldur's gate, still very new to this kind of game. Hopefully I'll get far enough sometime to start asking intelligent questions <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

Or 'shooting' games? This greenhorn has never heard of them <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif"border=0>

not heard of Freelancer? <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif"border=0>
Freelancer (by Digital Anvil, from Wing Commander and Starlancer) is AWESOME! <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>
okay, so some people disagree, but who cares about them? <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-rolleyes.gif"border=0> <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>
Freelancer is a spaceflight game/adventure. You're free in the whole universe to go where you want to. You could work for the Bounty Hunters Guild, for the Police, the Navy, the Rogues, the Outcasts of one of many trading companies. You can battle ships, go trading or explore some of the unexplored galaxies. With that you can land on many stations and planets with all with different building styles.
Multiplayer loses the Adventure element of finding out what is happening around you and all, but is definitely great fun to play as it is only the lack of story that differs from Singleplayer <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

Mechwarrior 4 I haven't played, but Mechwarrior is a game where you can customize your giant robot and outfit it with a huge arsenal of lasers, machine guns and rockets (and jumpjets <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-devil.gif"border=0> <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>) to fight the other metal giants <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

I really should continue playing NWN again, when I'm tired of Freelancer and Generals <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0>

Exar gave a pretty good description on 'Freelancer' there. Nothing much I can add. Except that you can also gain funds in the game by doing a little mining and salvaging operations. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>

'Mechwarrior 4' tells a story of a group of mercenaries that get involved in the battle between the great houses and clans of the Mechwarrior universe. The combats are very intense and require a good sense of tactics and mastery over the controls. Big guns blow big things up. It is not always a good thing, though. If you´re on a mission to say, defend a certain facility, you can´t just blast through things carelessly, since you´ll be penalized for the destruction to the facility. The missions are pretty straightforward, but they fit the game well. Me likey.

mining? you mean the blowing up of those small astroids? I don't really see that as an income. If they'd implement a mining laser and big astroids like in EVE, then I'd consider it, but this is just shooting some rocks that happen to fly by and hope you'll find 3x Water :/ Or did I not explore the option enough? <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

and yes Salvaging.. I seem to have taken that for granted <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif"border=0>
