Your poetic words -- a gift for all to embrace
Wynken21 wrote:Just a quick thought. I have never posted here before, but I am looking for a poetry site....have I come to the right place? Or any suggestions? I have been off TORC for awhile. I did write in Rhwen and others write, but I can't find it

I am touched that you would choose to bring your poem here.
Rwhen, I think, could trust me to treat your poetic heart with both
care and candor.
Your poem has many pleasing elements.
You write: "a treasure to hold", a worthy thought indeed, when we speak
of treasure; however, you have previously written about "summer breezes" and which cannot really be touched. One finds onesself
with one of those dreadfully nasty things called "a mixed metaphor",
or one can find other ways of cherishing the spirit of adventure
rather than "holding" it.
So, aside from some editing concerns, which I am sure you can
go back to, with the "edit" feature , something we have all come to love
when we find a spelling mistake or a word missing, you have the
makings of an enjoyable piece of poetry.
Some one told me this year to start saving the ones I write as a legacy
for my family. I would encourage you to do the same.
Bright blessings,
Parm
I am no expert, clear to tell,
though poems come as sure as breath,
I hope my words will be of help,
and not be ones that scare to death.
