Now how is that supposed to get n00bs to come in? :P

Basically, my plan involves becoming the Supreme Ruler of the world and destroying every other website along with their owners. Then everyone would have to come here. But I'm only at the first stages, so it wouldn't be wise to tell anyone.... er, wait....DAMN! :x

Vey, that's a great plan. Together we can try it.

But, on the other hand, if all n00bies will be afraid to come here to meet us? Leave it like this and in some following years they'll understand that TORC is a very cool place where we can :thppt: :bang: :D :argue: :grouphug: :pull: :drink:  :happydance:  :club:  :horse: :horse: :horse:  :argue: and so on and so on... And they eventually come here.

You forgot a bit of  :nono: :mightysquid:  :spammer: :coolit: and, hopefully not but occasionally, :puke:

:D

We could wait for them all to find TORC, but that'll take too long. :P

we can also hack every major site so that, when somebody types in the adress or clicks on a link to one of those major sites, they go to TORC instead. when they arrive here, and see they aren't on the right site they get confused and go wander through the boards. some will see our call for new newbies and become a new newbie. :D

(with "we" i mean people who know how to hack, i even can't make a simple site, so i won't be able to hack a very complex international site with radar and guards and such  )

Cool. It finally let me post. :D

Hello, I'm new here, though not to the Lord of the Rings message board's world. And as I'm feeling sorta suicidal, I'll let you know I came here because Ringbearer is down. Okay, you can shoot now. :D

Anyway, I'm sorta lost. I've been here before, but have never browsed the MB under real need, but I guess I'll get to know this place in due time. :)

And yes, I'm still scared of this place. So be nice. :D

Nice? You expect us to be nice? I don't know, that's asking a lot.

Welcome Linwenilid! This is a great place, if a little overwhelming at first. :D Swing on over to Adoptions, its a great place to get adjusted if need be.

May we expect a new flood of Ringbearers to invade our place? ;)

Welcome anyway! I believe my RB-account has been deleted by now

I was wondering, in fact, why aren't they here... :cry2:

LOL, I don't expect you to be 'the shiny, happy people', but at least accept us, new ones into your merry group. :D So far, I've seen you doing it, so I'm not that worried. :D

Hiya, Linwenilid!!!

We are mostly kind. But if you insist...

I gave TORC's adress to my groupmates, but they don't seem to be Tolkien's fans.

Thanks for the prompt welcome :)

I do, however, have a niggling problem. I am logged in, but whenever i try to access My Settings, i'm told i have to log in or beecome a member. I try logging in again but get the new page opening and the same message.

I need a wizard here.

Thanks

I was kidding.

Welcome Storyseeker! If you try from the mainpage and it still doesn't work, try deleting some of your cookies and temporary internet files. I had the same problem a while back and this solved it in no time. :)

Hello, everyone else! Just thought I'd drop in again to say hello. :)

Hi Didi

Postby storyseeker » Mon Feb 14, 2005 9:14 am

thanks Didi for the welcome.

Well i seek a story that Peter Jackson failed to read when he did finished the Lord of the Rings.

I have a theory that Jackson left out Shire in his ending because there is ample room to make another film, including the scouring of the shire, and using material from the appendices. I think there is enough material there to 'create' the final chapter in the red book... from thte arrival of the hobbits in the shire.... until Samwise leaves for the havens, and the remaining members of the Fellowship pass away.

I'm sure Tolkien never wanted all that extra material to go unused. On the contrary, i think he wanted the fans to fill in the gaps and beef up the plot... ergo another reason to have another film made.

Am i dreaming and saying nonsense?

Welcome storyseeker!!

I am not sure if you are dreaming or talking nonsense, only you can answer that...

But the thing is, I do it all the time, both. At the same time. So no worries about it. :)

Thanks for the welcome back Carne!! :D
