Loreena Mckennitt has a beautiful voice, and her songs are also very haunting. Though her tunes tend to be a little too repetitive, but I have four of her albums, and I love them all.

Strangely enough, certain metal bands also bring to mind the haunting yet soothing connotations of the twilight and all its intense feelings. Especially "Sleeping Sun" and "Sleepwalker" by Nightwish, and most of the tracks from the band, Within Temptation.

I love those songs. I want their CDs.... but I have so much else I need to buy. I'm buying a saddle for the horse I ride so I can have one that fits me and so I can help my friend (who owns the horse) learn Dressage. I'm also trying to start up a photography business.... None of those things equal cheap.

So Nightwish is a group/artist? I will have to find a way to hear some of their music. sounds very interesting to me.

Gosh! Have any of you been watching the moon lately about sunset and shortly after?? The moon has been looking so cool. A sliver of the moon as we are on the waxing end of the cycle and the planet Venus have been very close together and looking so cool!!! I believe that it is Venus, anyways. I wish I had a camera that would take cool pictures like we have had the last few nights. The sky turns deep blue with the sunset on the horizon and then a deep purple right at the very edge of the world. My kind of sunsets and twilights!!

Yeps. Nightwish and Within Temptation are both groups/bands. Both are from...Ireland? At least I think so. And their songs are beautiful.

I've seen slivers of the moon these days. The other time, I saw the moon, with one single star a few degrees beside it. It was simple, yet extremely beautiful.

Sunsets these days have been disappointingly bland on my end, though...

Supposedly Sat. night or REALLY early Sunday morning was a big meteor shower, around 4am or so. I was just crawling into bed then, but I didn't know about the meteor shower so I didn't see it. Did anyone else get the chance?

Hooray for the return of warm weather. Further moonlight dances shall ensue.

Smooth sails and happy trails.

Hey there folks!! I was gone over the weekend for our first event since late January. So much fun and the weather wasnt too bad either. I went through merchants row and watch night archery and torchlight heavy weapons fighting. So very cool!!

Orion, my beloved Guru was putting up a canopy at the event and mentioned seeing a shooting star. I never thought of watching for more. :( I wish I had known about the meteor showers. Oh well, come August I will be watching for them. Oh and I asked you a question on IM,

Vana, my Yahoo messenger is acting screwy on the ID that you for me. So my way around this has been to create a new IM account. So I probably haven't seen your question. Send me the question again on freelancemuze.

I was driving back home after a night of carousing with my friends last Sat., so I wouldn't have seen anything. I was paying more attention to the road and staying awake without needing to buy hot chocolate from Mr. Clown-face Cow Death.

Dance of shadows
showers of sparks
burns the fires in the dark

Moon face shining
clouds drifting by
as they march across the sky

Sway the breezes
move in the tune
dancing beneath the bright full moon

Drums are playing
the rhythmed beat
softly move the dancers feet

The Moonlight dancer
in her simple grace
tries to find a solemn place

Family join her
a circled embrace
calling forth the mothers grace

Throughout the night
music can be heard
but no one speaks a single word

Hours are passing
time moves along
as family keep dancing to night's song

Come now join us
in the summer dance
hurry along for now is your chance

This is something I wrote recently so I thought I would share with you all!! I also know that we now have fellas with us sisters. So I am have changed the references in here to family. I pray you all have a wonderful day!!

It depends on where you live as to if you have a true blue moon, beacuse some locations won't have it until early Friday 6/1.
I'm hoping the Mountain Region has it on the 31st since it's my brithday. :D

Ok Edana and Vana (since I know you guys are on the western half of the US) I'm looking up astronomical data at the Navy site I have bookmarked.

Edana, since I didn't have a city for you, I used Pueblo, CO. OK, according to US Naval Observatory, moonrise is 8.32p MT. The time of the TRUE full is 7.04p 31 May 2007. Should you be further west, http://aa.usno.navy.mil/data/docs/RS_OneDay.html

Vana, your moonrise will happen at 9.34p with the true full at 6.04p of 31 May 2007.

So it seems like you will have a blue moon this month after all.

Yes, :yippie: I knew about the Blue Moon this month. I keep a close eye upon that fact. We get one somewhere on the earth at least once a year. I am thrilled that I will be where I can enjoy it and dance to it!! :D

Thank you for the specific information and the link my sweet brother!!
Oh hey, did you get the sign in your window yet of your car?? Has anyone said anything about it yet?? :P
