Episode 3: Return of the Michigan Guild

The varied peoples of Middle-earth at times found unity in their pursuits, and all too often experienced deep rifts. Engage in lively conversations as we banter about the differences between the Alliances, and recruit for our People as well. Remember, keep it friendly.

Nen, you already got my other message so...yup. :P

But I'd love to see you while I'm there! :D

When I went to Medieval Times in Chicago, the green knight won - sad day!  But I was sitting in the section for the red and yellow knight so if it's any consolation, my knight died too. :P

Hello everyone! 13 days until I come to Michigan - wooooo! :D

YAY! It actually looks like it will be pretty nice out this week--go figure. Last Thursday we had a pretty nice storm. I drove past VGS in Fenton today and I thought of you.

Good ol' VG's.

Well, Michigan has come and gone and now I'm back in Washington. No rockin' thunderstorms (and no Nen - sad! :( ), but the nieces were adorable as expected. :D

Cottage was in August for years, and then we switched to the first week of July about 4 years ago, and this year we asked for a later week, so now it's mid-July. EVERYONE showed up this year at some point or another; we had to rent a room at a local hotel one night because the cottage was at capacity and Grandma was freaking out that we'd get in trouble.

Of course, she also thought we were going to be arrested for spontaneously breaking into song and dance outside Kilwin's in downtown Boyne City. We weren't. :D

Hope you're feeling better, Nen!

*pokes Eve and sends thunderstorms her way* :D

Sil--That's funny :) I would like to see you guys arrested for breaking out in song! Sounds like a busy time.

And yup, I am feeling better, and i don't have to work tommorrow!!! Huzzah!

I got a research job near the Adirondacks!! I start Sept. 1, woot!!! Of course, it is only 2 1/2 months long, but hey--it pays well. Anybody have a suggestion of what to do afterwards?

Six guys as housemates? I am sooo sooo sorry. Maybe they'll be weird guys and actually clean up after themselves. =:)

...at any rate, take a knife and sleep with it under your pillow.

Aaaaanyhow, welcome back to MI, if only for a short time! Luthy and I went to Holly on the 23rd; we only lasted till 3 because it was incredibly hot and humid. I bought a spiffy pirate hat, though, so all is well! :D Wish you could have been there to sweat with us!

Classes have started here... the gym is packed with students who think they can just use my elliptical machine any time they want! *sulk* :D Have started Kung Fu again; I'm now acutely aware of every muscle in my thighs. :P

Off to slack again before I translate Greek.. or Latin... hmmm..... Hope you feel better soon!

I wish I could have been at the Renn fest, is jealus as well. I want to see pics of the pirate hat!

My housemates seem nice enough....they're the hunting, like to drink sort of group (one of them who started today with me says he doesn't drink too often). No cell reception, internet, nothing! I had to drive a half hour to find a wendy;s that has wifi.

Good luck with the greek Sil--and to think, you did this to yourself! :)

Eve- That is so true. PErhaps we can have a renn fest reunion sometime.

Amazing, isn't it? I must truly be a masochist! :P

I'll have to take a picture of the hat; I found a few of K-chan wearing hers (I got the same style), but they're not very good quality, and besides.. my hat is cooler!

Well, y'all are welcome to GV's Ren Fest! As soon as I find the date for it..

A Ren Fest reunion would be fun! We'd probably have to do it at Silverleaf, though, because Holly seems to start too late in the year for people. Or we could look into the Bristol Faire, or something...

The Bristol faire is in Ohio, right? That would be fun. Who knows where I will be next summer. I don't even know what I am doing after this job.

So, I am in Plattsburgh (a half hour away), to get out of the house and use the internet/phone. I am at the worst coffee shop ever. The owners seem nice..but I am pretty sure the latte has normal coffee in it :( A waste of my money! There has to be other ones around, it is a college town after all.
