hello breogan me and my partner have just found out we are having a girl and are thinking of calling her arwen!! i know you have done this on page 4 but you have done two and i would like to know the difference between the two!! is one of them in tengwar annatar cursive as i have read that this is the closest font to the ring inscription! would really appreciate your time and knowledge on this many thanks

Dazaaaa Both transcriptions of Arwen are in Tengwar Annatar Cursive - that's just the font used to transcribe the name. The difference between both versions is the Mode used for the transcription - first one is the Mode of Beleriand, while the second one is the Mode of Gondor. Summing up, the first one would be the one used in Imladris by the Elves, while the second one would be one the Modes used in Minas Tirith. I have made a small correction of the transcription posted on p.4 - make sure you check it.

Dazaaaa I imagine a lore-master such as Elrond would know all the Sindarin Modes, but it is attested the Mode of Beleriand (the first transcription) was still in use in Imladris in the 3rd. Age. I would use that one, but of course that's just my opinion

transcription Thank you for the work you do here, especially since no one pays you for it. It's such a neat language and script. I'm considering a tattoo, and I have translated the lines I wanted from a verse in the Bible out of the Song of Solomon. "I will set you as a seal upon my arm, as a seal upon my heart; for love is as strong as death, as cruel as the grave" I wanted it translated into Quenya so I came up with... "Panyuvanyel ve tengwe endanyanna; ve tengwe rancunyanna an melme na tulca ve nuru, nwalca ve i hahta." and I wondered if you could show me what that looks like in a cursive script, or any script really. I wanted to try to make it into a tattoo as that verse is very special to me. thanks!! -A-

HELP!! I had you transcribe something for me about a year ago and I finally got it tattooed about an hour ago. The tattoo artist connected two of the words by accident and I want you to tell me if it has changed the meaning or if it looks ridiculous.
