Been back for a little bit. Had some things to do, laundry and updating my budget, and continuing putting up the Christmas stuff.
Found out that I can't do automatic payments from my debit card anymore. Their computer went all wacko. So it's back to sending a check every month.
I wish just once I could hear some good news. *sigh*

Seriously, though, I kind of know how you feel. Grad school so far has been mostly stress with very little good news beyond "Hey, some prominent person is coming to give a lecture!"
And speaking of news... I've fulfilled my grad school requirement of going to a smoky, noisy bar with my cohort; now I never have to do it again! Thank goodness. (Seriously, there were about 20 grad students and a professor--lots of really smart people. You'd think one of them would have considered the fact that you can't hold a meeting at a looong table in a room filled with customer chatter, music, and TV background noise. )

My sister's (foster?) cat that she is catsitting till June is a weird little animal.
Yesterday, she pulled a rug down from my sister's loft in her apartment (down a steep flight of stairs, that she herself is too small to get up and down easily)
But my sister found the rug in a ball near her closet when she came home from work yesterday. This cat (still almost a kitten) is TINY and this rug is pretty big. I have no idea how she got it down, or moved it.
Today she came home, and the TV was on Guess she can work the remote?

I survived the inventory tonight!!!  It is now 3am and I am home and trying to get sleepy enough to go to bed and rest. I will be going to work at noon for 4 hours for the assistant manager. I was actually scheduled off today but said I would go in for the 4 hours so she can get the papers signed on the sale of her house and get started moving her stuff to her new place. She will need to be out by Wednesday.  Glad it isn't me having to move so quickly!!!

Hello and Happy Monday all PCEheads!!!
Short weekend with a ton of headache for me, but better today, hope YOURS was better.
Can't get into the football thing anymore, I used to. Meaning professional football. I think there are too many channels on cable now. It used to be that you only had 3-5 channels and on the weekend two or more could easily have games on. So I got into it some. Now...that remote works well.

CR, can you set up auto pay from the bank for your landlord? My car payment is the same way, they won't deduct it automatically and won't take my debit card, but my BANK will pay the bill for me on the right day each month. That might help. I am with US Bank.

Well, my team was less sucky this weekend, by still lost by 2 points. Ilyda, we're all set to lose to you guys this Saturday! Should be a fun game, yes?
I had a mef weekend. Got all of my immediate homework done by Saturday afternoon, after which I angsted over the fact that
surely
I was forgetting something, and if not, then I could certainly be getting some long-term work done instead! Moral of the story is that I'm pretty much not able to enjoy free time at all. Good thing it's so rare.
rwhen, my family still gets only 3-5 channels. I get 0, as I have no TV.

And, dogs know some tricks as well. My dad told me that when he was studying in the university, he rented a room at a family who had a Scottish Terrier. The black dog often slept on the hall floor, on a dark rug, and if one came home late (like students often do) and didn't put the light on, tripping over the dog was almost guaranteed.

Ugh, what a weekend.
Saturday went well, but I was a nervous wreck.. Turns out he was too. He's not a fantastic driver either...I was glad I was sitting in the front seat! But...he has

to calm down...his enthusiasm is somewhat overwhelming.
Yesterday was almost as intense...went to a memorial service for hospice, had a small church dinner...
Then a long email from him this morning. *sigh*
I need a break from my break I think.
