The hubby and I shared a bottle of red wine this evening.

I really shouldn't consume any alcoholic beverages. :|

The point is that, if I drink something alcoholic, I get hungry. So, after finishing the wine, I went and raided the fridge and the cabinets.

Now, I've overeaten. :P

Well, in a couple of days, it's back to work, and to the normal in general.

Welcome back. :D

Rowan: for some reason, that's funny.

Had a nice Easter, with some good and bad. After sunrise service and Sunday school at our church, Rob and I drove up to my mom's childhood church (near my house) where she was helping them with a cantata and other stuff. Then to my house for lunch, then off for some errands, etc. We went to one cemetery where he needed to get a rubbing off of a stone. It's one of the cemeteries where my family is buried, so we took a tour while we were there. Then off to the church to get our flowers we ordered, then to another cemetery, this time to plant some of the flowers on Shellie's grave. I'd not been there since the committal and did a lot of crying. Then back to his place so he could change clothes, went to take some pictures, slipped and fell on a rock  then went to my aunts to get more stuff out of her house, then back to his place for a bit before going home.

Whew!

Wow, Iris, you really had a busy Easter.

I've still had this day off, and went for a long walk with the hubby. And this evening, a friend is probably coming for a short visit, he needs something printed, and their own printer is out of ink or something. After he's gone, I'll probably retire to bed with a book. :D

Hello PCE heads!! :D

Had a very busy weekend myself. But nothing to write about except that it was all good and went by way too fast.

Iris, are you okay from falling down?

Rowan, I am the opposite when I drink, I don't want to eat anything. Sounds like a good long weekend for you as well. :D

Lewie, how did you spend Easter? Did you get anything at all good to eat?

There is enough ham in the fridge left over to feed a small army!! ;)

:hihi:

Just a little bruised. I felt dumb more than anything. Rob was scrambling up an embankment and I'd grabbed his wrist to help him up and stumbled backwards.

Didn't drop my camera, though. :D

Well, it's now close:

210 to getting my horsey back,
710 to getting my ship.

And Rwhen, I've finished the Fionavar Tapestry. It is so good, and yet sad. It really has me wanting more.

So, last night I got to sit out on our deck for a couple of hours on our new swing and listen to crows fight.

Ah, spring!

Hi, Rwhen! Just want to tell you I finished the Fionavar Tapestry yesterday. I enjoyed it immensely. It was a wonderful tale, though it was sad. Though that added to it. Thanks for recommending it to me.

*I can't believe I'm out here on the back porch on the swang, justa swangin'*

That is a hard song to get out of your head once it is in there. :P :D

CR. I am SO happy that you really liked it. I read it every few years and I always get something more from it. There are very dark parts to the story, but really good parts and redeeming parts. Like Diar. *sobs* And Finn *sobs* and what happened to Jennifer *sobs*

But in the end, there is a closure of sorts. This series is right up there in my top 5. Hey I can find that thread if you like and we can discuss it there, what do you think?

So you are OFF today!! w00t!! :D

I have made a decision to NOT start a new PCE thread. Many reasons. If someone else wants to start it after this one is closed, I have no issues with that. And it is getting close to that time.

Thank everyone who participated and had fun here, I am sure we will continue the fun on other threads. Maybe I will dream up a new idea over night. Who knows. You are all wonderful and special peoples.
