Dean O'Gorman

I suppose this belongs in this Forum.

Recently I was watching an episode of the New Zealand television series "The Almighty Johnsons", a strange show that I find weirdly fascinating. The second season just started on SPACE here in Canada but I think it was shown (and presumably filmed) in NZ in 2012.

Anyway, Dean O'Gorman (Fili) is one of the stars. But in the first episode of this second series, O'Gorman's character has been sent out of the country on a long journey and interacts with the other characters only by telephone or computer. He also has brief scenes with unspeaking bit players. So was he unavailable for anything more than that because he was filming The Hobbit?

But I laughed out loud when one of the other characters, a very tall woman, asked the brother of O'Gorman's character "Where's your dwarf brother?".
