I come from afar.
A song I bring,
And my sweet harp.
I love poetry.
But for me it's hard
Still hear this bore,
And his ABC lore.


Aragorn the Ranger, tall and grim.
Bilbo Baggins had a lust for his Ring.
Caradhras the cruel, so silent, so still.
Denethor the wise, who lost his own will.
Eru Illuvatar, greatest of all.
Frodo Nine-fingered, a hobbit so small.
Gandalf the Grey, the Balrog's bane.
Hama at the Deep, died in vain.
In fair Ithillien, dwells Faramir still.
JRRT, oh I love him, always will.
Khuzdul the secret language of dwarves.
Legolas I think, makes a great bard.
Morgoth or Melkor, mother of evil.
Nimrodel flows, to the sea she will.
Oliphaunts are great, but don't like PJ's take.
Palantirs would make fish-bowls great.
Queen Bertthiel, solitary and loveless.
Widely known for her Cat-espionages.
Radagast the wizard, has the title "Brown".
Smeagol! Oh preciousssss, always frowned!!
Thorin Oakenshield, King under the mountain.
Undomiel Arwen, youth's eternal fountain.
Vana the ever-young, soulmate of Orome.
Wormtongue Grima,*sigh* chose the wrong way.
X for nothing, as I have no names.
Yavanna the Vala, creator of beings.
-Zaram, Kheled known as Mirror-mere.
My boring tale now ends here.
An hour and a half I have spent on this.
I wish I am taken as an apprentice!

Well done! It's always fun to see how X is handled. If it was my call, I'd say you're in, but alas, we must await Master Hue to make it official.

Right nice to see there is still an interest here. I always love to see the creative ways people use this ABC format. So simple and yet such diversity can come from it. I really like your honesty at the letter X, always nice to see what folks do with that one.

OK enough chit chat and jaw flappin'. Siddharth, it is my great pleasure to welcome you as the newest Apprentice in the Grand High Mystic, blah blah blah( mainly because I can't remember how it goes at the moment) otherwise known as The Bards' Guild, the (argueably) oldest guild here on TORC. Come on 'round to the Guild thread and introduce yourself to the gang.

And it is a great honour and privilege
to be a part of the greatest guild herein
where I can write good poems, under your tutelage.
I came here to better my strongs and improve my weaks.
And also to know how a great bard speaks.
So, my greetings and pledge to the Master bard.
That I am here, to believe it's hard.

For encouraging it is, what you say.
