His slightly awkward expanation and apology was unexpected nor was there any need for him to do so. He had nothing to apologize for. She watched him as he spoke and when he complimented her on her looks she was surprised.
Telta could only imagine what she looked like after days of riding. She hadn't even taken the time to refresh herself before entering the guild house. The elf ran a hand through her pale blond hair feeling the tangles and knots the wind had created. She looked down brushing at the dirt and dust that had imbedded itself on her clothes and skin. She stopped realizing just how much the opposite she looked of what Sidhlarion had said.
She started to laugh. A quiet, warm genuine sound. He stepped back his expression one of hurt.
"Sidhlarion Valar I do ask your forgiveness. I am laughing at myself not at you. Your words are kind but there is nothing to apologize for. As for me well I know what I must look like and fair does not apply in this instance."
Her words caused him to blush. She had embarrassed him though she had not meant to. Telta laid her hand upon his arm when he turned away from her, her mood turning serious. He looked at her.
"I have not laughed in quite some time. I was beginning to think I could not." She squeezed his arm gently.
"Thank you."
Letting go she looked out at the horses once more her face a shade redder at the boldness of her action.
"I promised Shadowdancer a good grooming. Perhaps we could talk more. I would like to hear what made you decide to become a bard."
OOC-Thank you Sid I shall certainly be reading the thread and if the muse strikes who knows what may happen.
