I am thrilled to see so many of us still doodling around the boards and popping in now and then to say Hello!!

Yes PARM we shall be Next year and what a trip it has been these years! Some have moved from other countries to places closer, some have met and married fellow TORCers, many got together to meet in moots and the grand gathering of 2003! Ah how we have grown and stretched our horizons for new adventures. I know I, for one, am not done here! I plan on popping in for years to come provided that Jon continues to keep our doors open.

Did anyone else hear that Jon and his lovely Rosy Cotton have just had their 4th child? Another boy! What a cute bunch of kids they have.

While Tolkien's works in film emerged,
I, from far lands, felt deeply urged
to join this giant family
and found it helped me splendidly.
Through fifteen years, my craft was honed,
and though my spirit grieved and groaned,
I found much healing in this place
from friends of kindness, skill, and grace.
I watched my years lived in Japan
grow to quite a lengthy span,
and when the time to leave arrived,
I found in here my heart had thrived.
In Canada, my duties press,
but I love TORC much more, not less,
and gladly come here when time grants,
away from incense, bells, and chants,
far from solitude and cells,
where my spirit soars and swells.
What a wonder TORC became;
that is why I spread its fame.

I'm doing an LOTR marathon this weekend and I got to wondering who is still around. It's been about 4 years since I've visited. What a rush of memories coming here, perusing the boards!

Oh Heather some of us are still around, we just find it hard to get through the doors of Moria! I am sorry I have not come in so very long. It has been a very full year with health issues and two jobs and such. We are about to turn another corner and become 16!

We're 16!! How time has flown. I still have the best memories about those first years. All nighters with online chatting and wine and RP plotting, friends I made that are still RL friends today and will be forever , multiple RP characters creating havoc , osgiliating, hijacking threads...

16? Still in the prime of our online lives for sure! (I was 16 when I joined TORC . The prime of my actual life. Still had a spring in my step and so forth Oh how time flies. Where am I now? Autumn?)

Those all nighters sure did not enhance my study results or harmonious relationship with my mother, but every minute of late night posting was absolutely worth it!
We still do the long nights with wine though Kaya Don't think for a minute anyone thinks you gave up wine.

Speaking of RP characters. How is your pirate btw? I heard from one of my muses he stole a bracelet and it refusing to give it back to the muse in question. Rather bad manners if you ask me. Have a word with him would you? Oh, and how's dareIsayhisname the one and only horseboy? Not frolicking around any freezing rivers I hope . That's bad for his.... health.

My pirate stole a bracelet?! He swears he has no memory of commiting such a horrible act. And we all know he's a totally trustworthy person.
Bréhon is doing fine, btw. Gives his best regards to your elf. Vowes frolicking in rivers hasn't been on the menu since a while and wonders if your elf is putting him on a dare.

Thank goodness the wine and writing sessions are still part of our routine

Ah to be about these hallowed halls once more and see the many wonderful faces again.

Kaya, when I hear your name or see your loggin, all I can think of is our conversations about "You shall not pass!" The gal that used to come to my house and we chatted how I should grab my broom and meet her in the driveway shouting that to her as I strike the handle to the pavement. Oh that was a fun time!!

We have just lost one of our own from the class of 02" I am not sure of all who know this. oldtoby went into the West just yesterday! His cancer became terminal and we only found this out late last week. Now he is gone too soon. He shall be dearly missed. What I would like to see done is a table set at all our feasts and parties or gathering that is for those who are gone and missing from our ranks due to their sailing into the West. I think it would be a lovely tribute so that we shall never forget them.

So far as I know Rowanberry and oldtoby are both from the class of 2002.
