Sorry for not replying sooner, was having a muse how to translate it.
Serathon aen no lith sennui ast = I would like to be ash instead of dust
Lith = Ash, dust but Ast only means dust so I think an Elf would understand you. There's no verb for 'to prefer', we just have Sennui = rather, instead so I had to reword it slightly.
Serathon aen = I would like
no = to be
lith = ash, dust, sand
sennui = instead, rather
ast = dust
