Hope you cleared up the ad problem, Calma. :cavetroll:

I got me some US dollars yesterday, no small bills though :(. Exchange rate sucks. Glad I have paid for as much as I can beforehand in my money. All I have to buy is food and souvenirs...and tipping. Must remember to factor that it. Hey, do I tip the shuttle driver who will drop me at my hotel? and how much? Any other hints about tipping for food? how much is the percentage now? I know waiters in the US hate aussies visiting as we are not good tippers...(as we don't normally tip except for exceptional service as our minimum wage is higher than yours.)

Around here restaurant tipping is more like 20%. I guess you tip drivers and such a couple of bucks??? It's been too long for me. :D

Limerick day, eh?

There was a thread on TORC
That didn't attract any ORCs.
The raccoons were the key
(just between you and me)
They held them off with a fork.

Ahhhh, I'm out of the dark and into the light!
This morning as I was getting a few minutes of reading
Before starting my day,
The world went dark.
This was at 530am

Fortunately, it was light outside
And I could see my way downstairs.
Called in the outage and waited.
And waited and waited.
Finally about 1130am, the lights came on.

My babyman headed straight for the coffee maker. :lmbo:

Hope everyone is aware of the Malware/ransom virus out there.
And have updated and patched their computers.
Don't open what you don't recognize.

But it seems to be okay. Yay. I think. :P

I shall have to hunt down some more Star Wars stuff for later in the day. Stay tuned.

Good Morning, all!

Have to take my babyman into Silverdale for his eye check up.
Just Googled the traffic area and it was clear!
Yay!

Heard on the news, some chick burglarized Viggo's home in Idaho.
She was caught with the good in her house.
The local news didn't expound upon it much, though.

Later....

Star Wars quotes you can use everyday...

1. “It’s not my fault.” – Han Solo
2. “Your focus determines your reality.” – Qui-Gon Jinn
3. “Do. Or do not. There is no try.” – Yoda
4. “Somebody has to save our skins.” – Leia Organa

I'm impressed that your recall the Qui-Gon quote. I don't recall much from that film except we hates Jar Jar!

Another that may be of use is: I've got a bad feeling about this...

How's the job going?

Hey! I'm still alive! Sorry, I haven't been checking in as much as I should...more to do than I anticipated.

The trip was wonderful. :D I started a blog...its here. So much happened it's hard to tell people everything. We're also having a presentation at my mom's church June 11, so if anyone is in Pennsylvania and wants to stop by... ;)

And I think I developed a tour guide crush. Seriously, out guide was awesome and I miss hearing all his stories. He was born in the US (I think all three were, actually) but his family moved to Israel when he was about 5 years old, just before the six day war. We found later that he is the head tour guide for the company, Sar-El, and does most of the coordinating. On the way to the airport the last night he came back to our part of the bus and chatted with us about some of the funny things that have happened on tours, and last year the worst thing...someone died.

As far as the job...I ended up quitting. The stress and anxiety was not doing me any favors. I checked first with my editor and publisher at the online news site I write for part time, and they said they could give me more work, and they have. So I'm not as anxious looking for something else. I've been writing, mostly the blog, but it's been good for my peace of mind. So, lots of prayer and just trying to find what I'm really supposed to do.

And Rob and I are FINALLY going to see Guardians tonight!

Yay Iris, glad you are less stressed and have work you like to do too.

Finished up work for a month, now just have to finish packing suitcase. I've looked at the weather for the next 3 weeks in the US and I think I have the right mix of clothes. 97 in Vegas but at night at the Canyon will be 44? Good thing I am bringing winterish clothes for my time in NZ, I will need to use them in the desert at night.

I found this on my FB feed today. It's the 2Cellos playing May It Be. It's so beautiful, haunting and funny at the same time. I would love to see these guys play one day, they are so talented (and very good looking) but brilliant cellists.

Happy Belated Birthday, ST!

Whooo--boy! I'm totally wiped out.
Finished putting in my flowers today
Also planted some onions in the greenhouse.

Yeah, that shower I took this morning
Has been for naught.

The weather is simply gorgeous.
I set up the kitty tent for my girls
And they spent about two hours out there.
I'll be going back out in about an hour
When the shade comes over the patio.

Hope all are well
Later...
