I finally got to see Thor Ragnarok yesterday. It was such a fun movie, loads of laughs, plenty of action, good and bad guys and ones that waiver between good and bad (yes, I'm talking to you Loki.)
If you don't know the story in a nutshell: Hela, Thor's very destructive sister is released from captivity and wreaks havoc on Asgard while Thor and the Hulk have been captured by the Grand Master (brother to the Collector I believe) and made to take part in gladiator like battles. (Explains why Thor and Hulk weren't in Civil War) All Thor wants to do is get back to save his people.
The NZ director also had a cameo part as a rock creature who sounded like a NZ pub bouncer. I didn't know Karl Urban was in the movie. His character looked a bit like Vaarko from Chronicles of Riddick but with a rough english accent. (I think its the first time he and Cate Blanchett have been in a movie together since LOTR)
Some fun cameos from Dr Strange, Sam Neill and Matt Damon (in a play at the beginning of the movie.)
There are two extra scenes in the credits. The first one is worth staying for, the 2nd is just a silly bit that really isn't worth the wait.
Several thumbs up for the fun factor. Thor gets most of the funny lines this time, rather than Loki.
