Nice Nose News, LK. Keep up the healing part and breathing too.

Strange thing seen at a nursing home today.

Oh, the stories I could tell.

Watching Mad Max on a big screen is totally tame.

I am pleased to announce that I can once again breathe through my nose. :P

My appointment was for 8:30, but since the weather and roads were not real good, I left super early and got there at 8:00.

To my surprise I got right in. In fact I was finished and on my way back home by the time 8:30 rolled around.

So nice when that happens. :D

I stopped to watch a minute, the scene was Theron waling on poor chained-up Hardy while they were on the way to find the women who had seeds.
I guess reliving adventures they had when younger.

As for kick arse and inedibles :) and tales from old folk homes, the wife and I have a couple years at it so nothing would surprise that much, I think.
We met a girl 107 who played on a girls state championship BB team, 1922 IIRC. She's gone now.

I still can't wear my glasses for long periods of time, cause the pressure on the bridge of my nose gives me a headache.

I just keep telling myself every day I'm healing a little more....

Remember way, way back when the lenses of glasses used to be glass? And heavy? I don't, obviously, but I was told that if I used glass in mine now, the weight would break my nose.

So, LK take it as a sign that your body is doing what it's supposed to and reminding you not to get carried away.

I wanted ice cream today.

I went to three different stores, and none of them had my favorite kind of ice cream, which is Ruggles Bear Claw.

Most inconsiderate, I say.

Wow. So many losses and health issues! :( (((everybody)))

I caught up a bit on the end of the previous thread and sort of caught up here. I have no real excuse for not being in here any more often than I am; just distracted, I guess. When I'm on TORC it's usually over in Guilds somewhere, or checking to see if there's anything new in Books.

I don't even remember where I left off. I'll try to be more present... :)

Vanilla is the best ice cream.
With vanilla, you can make any flavor you want.
Add sprinkles, fruit, syrups of all types;;;

goes off to make a banana split....

How about...vanilla AND chocolate...vanilla, you can add anything (great idea, Calma!) and then...chocolate!

I also like Friendly's coffee ice cream. With almonds and whipped cream.

Penn State Creamery has a WPSU Coffee Break ice cream with bits of chocolate in it...it's hard to get because they go through it so fast, but the milkshakes are sooooooooooo good. They go through Peachy Paterno pretty fast too.

Don't care for coffee flavored ice cream, or coffee flavored anything for that matter. Never acquired a taste for coffee.

One reason I like the Bear Claw ice cream so much is because it's a real, CHOCOLATELY chocolate ice cream, not a weak, pale, anemic imitation like most other so-called chocolate ice creams.

The dark chocolate covered cashews and the caramel swirls don't hurt either. :D

LK I missed that you were having surgery but am so glad to hear that you are on the mend!! Just take your time and let your body heal!

My favorite ice cream is Strawberry with chunks of strawberries in it. Or Maple Nut ice cream with Walnuts and not peanuts. I have seen both. But then anything with Chocolate is good too!! I will have to look for the Bear Claw ice cream because is sounds very good. I don't like anything coffee either.

basil, you and my dad would get along like a house on fire. :D We've wanted to take him to Wallops Island, but he feels it's too far of a trip for him these days. He found Kennedy Space Center fascinating when we were down...and he and I both love hanging out in the Air and Space Museum in DC.

And this is funny...you sound almost exactly like my cousin Ben. ;) You're not related to me, are you?
