Thor: Ragnarok.
A much better movie than I expected.
I loved the main theme of exile, the path the brothers followed, and they were approaching each other when the forces of chaos seemed invincible.
A much more mature movie than Marvel's previous productions, does not include exalted conclussion (like Watchmen).
The film developed Thor's story, and finally a good movie was made about him.

However, it does not develop much the rest of the universe, there is not much about orbs of infinity.

Wrinkle in Time. It's not as good as the book, but for a movie, it was enjoyable for me.

It ...... 2017 ..... Bill Skarsgard

Not really a fan of remakes/reboot movies but this one is really good. Showed more than what they could with the original tv movie could which made it all the more "creepier"
and just my style  . Love Tim Curry in the original and love the original film.

Dare you ...

The Greatest Showman It was good, but a little too fast paced for me. I'm glad I saw it but am doubly glad I rented it instead of buying it. It's one of these movies you see once and that's it.

Avengers: Infinity Wars!

Oh my!!!!!! no spoilers (as it hasn't opened everywhere yet) but damn, so much carnage and death!! From the get go, its full speed ahead and the hits and quips just keep on coming. You will leave the cinema in shock. :Q :hair: :club: :evilaugh: :cry2:

The movie is about 2.40mins + ads. The bit at the end is important so stay if you can.

Echo, Avengers: Infinity War. Agreed, the best thing to do is hang on tight to the knowledge that's it's only part 1 of 2. Otherwise

Batman Ninja which I picked up on Blu-ray yesterday (May 8th). It is an anime film featuring Batman and his supporting cast, transported to feudal Japan in the Warring States period. It's going to have a theatrical release in Japan but we get it first as a digital download and on Blu-ray & DVD. The movie is a wild ride--gloriously, magnificently over-the-top--and falls apart swiftly if you are foolish enough to try to analyze it logically. If you are a fan of Afro Samurai and/or Batman: Gotham Knight then give this a look. I actually like the Japanese dub with English subtitles better than the (also excellent) English-language dub.

Peter Rabbit The movie was mediocre at best. The slapstick in it wasn't even good. A boring movie overall.

Dead Pool 2 .... 2018 .... Ryan Reynolds

Meh it was okay. Little to mushy in places for me. I would've like a bit more action to it.

I did go see the movie Skyscraper today. I thought it was pretty good. If you like action movies, you'll like this one.

I did notice one thing though, and I've noticed this about other movies as well. Some of the dialog is different from the previews they show on TV. In this movie for example, in the preview Dwayne Johnson says: “ I like my beer cold, my wings hot....but what do I know, I'm just a security guard,” or words to that effect. That was not in the movie. Also in the preview there's a scene where his wife asks him how he got in the building, and he tells her he jumped off of a.....something, I couldn't make out what he was saying. In the movie he just says, “It's a long story.”

Don't know why they feel the need to change it.

The bit at the end was completely lost on me. I don't follow the Marvel comics, so I had no idea who Fury was trying to contact. That little logo on the device he was using meant nothing to me.

I did wonder how he knew the person he was trying to contact hadn't been disintegrated as well, but I've since learned Capt. Marvel in stuck in another dimension, or time zone, or something, so I guess he was safe in assuming she was still around.

Boy! Talk about your long-distance calls! :D :D

Blade Runner 2049 ... Harrison Ford ..... Ryan Gosling ..... 2017

Not bad. Slow going in parts. Rather prefer the original

Always liked this simple little movie. Think it's one of Swayze's better performances.

The Death of Superman (2018) on Blu-ray disc. This is the first of a two-part adaptation of the 1990s story arc; [i}Reign of the Supermen[/i] will appear in early 2019. The animated movie is more satisfying than 2007's Superman/Doomsday which tried to compress the entire story-line ("Death of Superman", "World Without a Superman" and "Reign of the Supermen") into a single, 75-minute movie.

Blood And Sand ..... 1922 ..... Rudolph Valentino ..... Lila Lee ..... Nita Naldi

One of his last good movies. M.O. .. Tyrone Power, Linda Darnell, and Rita Hayworth would remake this film at 2oth Century Fox in 1941. Also well made. Recommend either one.
