An electric eel emogi would actually be awesome. The squid – sorry, "Mighty" Squid – is not as cool as an electric eel, IMO.

Thor, anyone who wanders into the TVM get duct taped so they can't escape. It's like the hotel California here. You can check out any time you like but you can never leave.

I'm sure that warning is on the door somewhere? Or maybe Louie pinched it. He's steeal anything not nailed down.

I thought the squid was for the Mighty Squid when she posted here? :mightysquid: I miss her.

We had a Mighty Squid? Well, that changes everything!! I didn't know that…sorry, Mighty Squid, wherever you are! I didn't mean it! Squids are cool too! Don't duct tape me to anything, please!

But I have no intention of escaping: I'm a TORC'er now! I've been duct taped and tickled…I've been properly initiated :D

My sister is really happy; though she's already told the whole family that she won't be allowing any of us to help her and her husband choose a name for the baby – I was gonna suggest Bilbo, too! :D
(Wow, I just realized I'm gonna be an uncle :Q )

Rise of the TOS Violations! Ooh, do I see a chance to make some popcorn too? Yes, I do! Tookish, you really have the best ideas :D

Ah, Tele and his amazing moobie. That was a fun year to read. Don't think I started playing until later, being a noob my own self. I was too afraid of the big luminaries playing at that stage.

Same here! Very cold all day, strong winds knocked down some trees and power-lines, but not a cloud in the sky. Though I've been feeling a bit under the weather, so it's a little difficult to enjoy the change in season. I'm on the mend now, though. I like Autumn the best of all the seasons. It's the most Tolkienish time of the year! :)

Thor looked around with bleary eyes at the darkened street outside the inn. Was that a llama he saw, waiting in the fog just past the edge of the lamplight? It certainly looked like one…
He shook his head – he must have had too much to drink. Maybe.
He tried to ignore the mystery llama in the midnight. This felt like something out of Long Dark Tea-time Of The Soul……
Which I was a part of, he remembered with a jolt. That confused matters still further. He set off on foot, out of Bree, into the mist.

Tooks headed out into the misty night. She saw a Thorish character heading north. And she could have sworn she saw two raccoons following close behind.....

That's hilarious…but, uh, I believe that Tookish was trying to imply that she saw an incredibly gorgeous human male, six feet tall, armed with hammer Mjolnir and a shield crafted from an oak of Azanulbizar, striding majestically into the night……followed by raccoons…

Thor arrived at Lake Evendim bitterly scarred by the short journey; those animals had taken every opportunity they got to attack him, leaping out of the trees, installing traps on the path, even trying to abduct him via helicopter. King Elessar had better increase the guard on Eriador, or all these roads would soon become too dangerous to travel.

Postby IrisBrandybuck » Sun Oct 14, 2018 6:32 pm

Sorry it took me so long to get in here and give an update.

Thanks for the birthday wishes, by the way. It was a loooooong day!

We got there right on time. But they didn't take him back until after 1 p.m. Of course. And we didn't get to see him again until after 5 p.m. The waiting room was
freezing! His dad came and spent the day with mom and I as well (mom came after working for me at the post office).

But finally the doctor called and said that everything went really well. The tear was bad...well, we guessed that because it was completely detached! And they had to do more clean up than expected. He was high as a kite or more when I finally took him home. But we didn't get a prescription for pain meds or his therapy, which we thought was strange. When we finally got home there was a message on our voicemail wanting ME to come back and get the prescriptions the nurse had forgotten! I was NOT going to drive back to DuBois...that's nearly and hour. So the next morning Rob and my dad went over and got the stuff.

The next day mom came and closed for me so I could go to a funeral, then I had a meeting for the online news source I see, and shopping, and didn't get home till around 3 or so...I had picked up Rob from his morning with my dad...and I was listening to the voice mail and there was a message from my new post master to call her (briefly, my office is a little 2-hour office, so my supervisor is the post master of the nearby big office). I called and got reamed out for 10 minutes because mom and I were both taking off Friday and we hadn't given adequate notice. We had, but the substitute post master hadn't kept track of the requests.

It's been eventful. But Rob is doing really well. Minimal percocet. Cats love having daddy around. He's sleeping well. Starts therapy tomorrow. The incisions look good, no redness, no seeping.

Tomorrow is our wedding anniversary. We totally forgot. Haven't had our minds on anything.

Oh, and the final paragraph in this chapter of the saga...Rob has to go see a neuro-surgeon because whatever is wrong with his back the back doctor doesn't want to touch. He thinks it's on the spinal cord.

Iris, I hope all things settle into boredom for you and yours.
And sorry I missed your birthday.

Tooks, Tele was just too talented for this world.

Hello Calma! Um,…do I get the sense from your words that Tele is no longer with us? :(
I do wonder sometimes what old TORC'ers do nowadays; I'm not even a senior TORC'er, who would actually know any of the great and iconic posters like Gandalf's Mother, or the infamous Kelannar, or Wildwood, or Cerin, or Klonkku, or Radagast the Ruddy, and I've actually thought about this. And I'm just choosing random names from a very long list of veterans.
I'm bizarre. Who are the most iconic posters from TORC? Does anybody have a list?

Can't wait to see those pics, Tookish! :D I'm sure that you're extremely talented!
I am, too, actually; quite the prolific writer I am, and I'm coming along well in acting. :)

Oh my no!! I did not mean it like that. :Q
I should have said "for TORC's world"
I'm sure Tele is alive and kicking somewhere out there.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

So I've been scrolling through my old photobucket account, which I can't hotlink to anymore :P , and it's amazing how many Hugh Jackman pics I found. Hmmmm....

Anyhoo.... back in the super duper oldie days, some of my best MoME pics would uploaded to TORC directly. And they are now gone. *sob*. Unless I can find them on a flashdrive somewhere.

Here is a Gollumator pic from MoME number one. :D hee. Gollum won first prize.
