Haha, this is hilariously incorrect. No, the Lord of the Rings will never become less popular; the Amazon series, if nothing else, insures that for the next few years. But I think, even beyond that, the book will endure the test of time and transcend the future. We all have to make that so, though, and keep our promise to Frodo on the shores of Middle-earth; that we will read the tales out of the Great Book, for ourselves and our children, forever and ever. We must never forget how indebted we are to Tolkien; at least, those of us who really have had our lives shaped to some extent by this incredible book. Without LotR, I would not be the man I am, that is for sure.
