Today was rainy, and the dog only got walked about a mile. Yesterday he spent an hour at the dog park, and that wore him out a bit. Tomorrow afternoon he gets a longer walk for sure.

In the morning I vote and then get my carpal tunnel stitches out. yay!!!!

I'm good, I like November; it's a good month, comfortable and crowded with things to do, places to be, people to see. One of my sisters has a new (temporary) boyfriend, who took her to see Hamilton; how he managed to get tickets last-minute I have no idea. Not much going on today. It's rainy and dark over here, and cold. Big crowd at my polling-place, though, and I've got high hopes for good election results tonight. Every night at 9 o'-clock, I switch on The Rachel Maddow Show - tonight, I'm gonna be listening on all the way through to The Eleventh Hour with Brian Williams. So much stress!

Okay, I'm already so stressed out, waiting. I've got the TV on already - Chuck Todd is on right now. Is anybody out there who's nervously watching the TV too? I've got a Boston-creme pie ready in case we triumph tonight. I've got pizza.

Mixed election results here in PA. Statewide election went pretty well but local races not so much. Oh well. Baby steps. The PA General Assembly vote was close in my district. In past years the incumbent usually ran unopposed, so that has changed for the better.

Wow. That was the most conflicting night I've ever had. At times I wanted to cheer, then I was crying, Rachel Maddow had no idea what was going on to begin with, Steve Kornacki was running all over the place.

Nationally, we had a half-and-half outcome that was quite confusing. Locally, my town still has pretty bad turn-out, and bad results. I guess I should feel good that my governor is Ned Lamont, but I'm still depressed that Beto O'Rourke lost out in Texas - I've never even been to Texas! Elections are so stressful. I'm glad it's over!

I've been on a leadership course these past 2 days. Brain is totally drained now.

The crazy man is still in power, sadly, and has just fired our country's Attorney General. Our House of Representatives lies firmly in the control of the Democratic Party, while the U.S Senate got a little more Republican (though now there's some recounts happening, and the seats in Mississippi and Arizona are still undecided as of now). The victories for Democrats give them much greater political leverage, and will hopefully allow them to make some change happen in America - me, I'm just hoping for some action against climate change, action against gun violence, and an end to the hate-speech atmosphere that we here have had to endure for the last two years. That won't happen until the crazy man is out, though, and that will be in 2020, hopefully.

Anyway, in other news…how is everyone? I'm exhausted - which is bad, because I've got a lot to do in the next few weeks; which reminds me, time to buy tickets to Grinch, and Fantastic Beasts. It's this daylight savings-time we've got over here - do they have that in Australia? It completely knocks me askew.

Happy Saturday, y'all! It started snowing up here in Connecticut today, too, for about an hour. I'm not looking forward to Winter - it's gonna be a frigid one. You've got the right idea, Tooks; just stay in on Sunday and spend the whole day posting on TORC. Sounds good to me.
I also like just…like, talking. I could spend hours just chatting amiably with friends about everything from country music to the science of black holes.
