A Feast of Light

Postby prmiller » Wed Aug 07, 2019 8:20 pm

The twilight hours are rich with light;
the most decrepit tree is graced
with robes of gold, resplendent, bright,
and limned with amber jewels traced.
The rabbits run down gold-washed streets,
made brighter by the gift of rain,
though searching for some summer treats,
their fur is far from drab and plain.
The light grows dim, and richer hues,
of lavender and purple tints,
rim homes along our avenues,
and camera-like, my eyes make prints.
Then all is swathed in nighttime shades
and glinting traces flicker out,
through gaps in clouds, stars in parades,
march through ebon skies about.
Oh, such a feast of light today!
Thus thanks for sight, O God, I pray.

And Brightest Blessing right back to you fellow Bard. Eyes are a pretty darned good thing. We probably don't appreciate them as much as we should.

Hail and hope all is well Master Parm.
