I think MLB should just refer the 60 game season schedule an extended spring training. They'll mark this season in history books with an asterix anyway. Skip it and try again next year
I say but am not a fan.

Was picking up a few things at the store earlier this afternoon and heard Calma's favorite Beatles song on their "system" ...... "In My Life"..... (tears ..

Everyone raise your coffee / tea cups in salute. It's John Gilbert's 125th birthday today !!! please no alcohol he had problems with the stuff

Congratulations on being a graduate! Now you get to be a work machine. ;)

Movie hobby? Any in particular? ????

Thanks a bunch 8) One more cog in the machine, WOOHOOOO

Hmmm, nothing specific I have just gotten into a regular habit of watching movies for, like, past 5 years or so now. One movie a day. I must've seen at least 400 films in three years or so. I'm at 170 new films for this year :P But yeah, no competition. I'm sort of trying my hand at making a few films meself. Even though they are really cringe lol.

Tooks: Tyson really does remind me of uncles dog Hughie. Tyson is a bit taller though. He sure is a cutie though. Does he get to go out for long walks still ?

Ninui, we got a 2.5 mile walk this morning. The day before it was close to 4 miles. It depends on how cloudy/humid it is early in the morning.

Tyson likes to laze around in a cool house during the day though. :D

Another spider has taken my garage hostage. This time a small but ferocious black spider with rather long front legs has set up a web on the wall next to my garage door. I tried to dislodge it with some water but I think the fact that it's been raining for 2 days sent it scurrying up the wall, the water did little to discourage it. So today I wll put some surface spray around and encourage it to move on. If I didn't know better I'd say it was akin to a funnel web but they normally build on the ground. Don't want to kill it but it can't stay there. Perhaps it doesn't recall the spraying the huntsman gor a couple of years ago? Well of course not, spiders don't live that long?

Tooks---is that your dog? Tyson? He's so handsome!

nl---why don't you want to kill the little creepy-crawlie? It'll just breed more little creepy-crawlies.

Squish it, says I! =:)

Yes, that is my dog, Mr. Handsome. He hears that all the time. He has a big head about it. :D

I also try not to squish bugs. I scoop spiders up on a piece of paper and toss the whole thing outside. Later I go pick up the paper, hopefully now bug/spider free. :D
And do not squish stink bugs. Then they realllllly stink. :P

We try not to kill spiders either; we try getting them on a paper and carrying them outside. But they often don't get as far as he door. A better idea would be for the 2 of us to team up, one getting the spider to the nearest window and the other opening it.

Squishing bugs is messy. (How come, with all the smilies, there's no Mr Yuk?)

And yes, I still miss Calma. A lot.

Today's episode of TOS is Shore Leave. :)

And man, the guy who works the next desk row over from me breathes so loud, I could shoot him in the dark. Then again it is very quiet here in the office as only about 12 people currently not working from home.

My amazing Travel Agent Philippa managed to get refunds on everything for me + HCF refunded nearly all my travel insurance. So now if Western Australia or Tasmania ever open their borders (before we get a vaccine and be able to travel other places) I will have the money to go there. Always avoided WA as an option as it is a very pricy place to visit with stuff being so far apart and remote.

I know Tooks. Would be much fun, but the US would be a tricksy place to go with covid, riots, election chaos. :Q What you need is a 3rd party, if you don't like Democrats or Republicans.

We may have to head over the border to Canada when we are all allowed out. Or NZ.

I started watching Stargirl last night. It's fun and a bit quirky. Not like Flash, Arrow etc and their "seriousness" vibe. The villains (ILA) are a little cartoony and OTT which is fun. There's Brainstorm and Icicle to contend with. Part of me thought it was a little like Buffy. Blonde cheerleader type (though not a CL) gets powers to fight evil. Enjoying so far.

Well, we certainly have covid and election chaos, but the riots are not a big thing. They are just on the news. :P

Tis true the Reps and Dems seem to be polar opposites nowadays. There was once a time when I voted for the occasional Republican. Now, forget it.

I am off to Scotland today - my mom has an appointment she needs a ride to. At least we can get together now...again. :)

PS: Canada sounds like fun. :D

Yay for getting to visit your mum!

So are the riots not as bad as we are shown on the news every night here? And your voting system doesn't give preferences if the party you voted for isn't a main party and they can give their votes to a major party? I don't quite understand the electoral college thing.

Yes, I'm sure Scribbles would welcome us with mostly open arms, one arm may be carrying a sword. ;)

Well, the electoral college thing is a mess.
Voting for a third party candidate doesn't do anything, but make the voter feel good. It doesn't have an effect on who is the elected. Different states handle electoral college votes differently, so there is no way for me to describe what happens easily. :P

Here is a wiki article that may help explain it for you. Or not. :|

hmmm, so is the amount of votes per state based on the population? It's an unusual system.

I'm so used to ours where voting in compulsory. That way you can't complain if you didn't vote. Well you get fined if you don't vote.
