It was clear that she was not the only one whose heart was in complete turmoil. First he looked at her, frozen and silent, but his wide open eyes betrayed the shock her appearance had caused. Finally there came words:

"Yes, I have come. I could not stay away. Eru himself would allow the Dark Lord to rise again and rule all of Arda before my love for you would diminish by even the smallest fraction. You look as splendid and as breathtaking as the day my undeserving eyes first caught sight of your radiant form"

She wanted to smile, but her tumultuous emotions paralyzed her. She stood before him without a word, fearing that allowing for the slightest movement would instantenously release the dangerously overwhelming passion within her.

It was he who finally brought an end to the unbearable tension. Enchantress let out a cry of relief as she felt herself enfolded within his arms. Time came to a stop, the world melted away, there was only the comfort she thought she had forever lost. From a distance, she heard Turin's voice, but was unable to discern the meaning of his words. As if waking from a dream she thought: "The ceremony must be over..." but she did not grieve for missing the crucial moment. As he gently pulled back from the embrace, his lips brushed hers ever so slightly, and a familiar involuntary tremor shook her slender frame.

"Take my hand, my love... and I swear to you I shall never let go of it again."

Such an offer was impossible to refuse. With a joyous grin she took hold of his hand.

"Come with me now, and let us meet the happy couple and gracious hosts of this wonderful event."

She looked at him, smiling, her lips still tingling from the soft hint of a kiss.

"Gladly," she said, "However, I would call it criminal to merely give a Lady a slight taste - however exquisite it be - of a gift long witheld, and leave her in a state of most anxious anticipation."

A mischievious light dancing in her eyes, she managed a quick grin before her lips pressed into his. Perhaps fortunatelly, her roaming hands were impeded by his armour and she finally pulled back and heaved a light sigh, marked both by satisfaction as well as slight annoyance; a forced agreement to the fact that some things may have to wait till later.

"NOW we may go"

She grinned widely and entwining her fingers with his, strode forward. It took a second for him to catch up to her - she chuckled realizing that yet again she somehow managed to astonish him.

They walked across the bridge, and entered the meadow where all were gathered. The fair Lady who had vanished from her seat during the ceremony to stop the Dark Knight from leaving was coming towards them. Feeling his hand within hers, enchantress smiled thinking how grateful she was for the woman's observant eyes and peculiar magical ability.

"Hail dark knight and Enchantress! I am sorry not to introduce myself earlier, but it is good to see that you and Enchantress are coming back, dark knight. My name is Friend. Praytell, what is your name?"

Enchantress curtsied to the lady.
She began to speak but Friend apologized and quickly ran off on a clearly important errand. Enchantress looked at Barad-dur and shrugged, smiling.

The splendid newlyweds were now approaching. Elora was positively resplendent in her wedding gown, and Turin matched his wife's splendour, both with his handsome appearance and his air of nobility.

"Great Knight! Fair Lady! It is well that you both came! Though I was only in the shadows at the fine affair last spring, I had noted the flowering between you and had heard much of you both about the land as I wandered. It pleases my and the Lady Elora's hearts that you have come. Please have some refreshment and dance and enjoy!"

Enchantress smiled and squeezed her knight's hand tighter as Turin mentioned the spring affair in Mordor.

"We would not have missed this glorious event under any circumstances! Congratulations to you both and may Eru's blessing shine upon you with unprecedented strength!"

Enchantress wanted to speak longer with the Lady Elora, but the bride excused herself to seek a friend who seemed to be departing. Perhaps later, Enchantress thought.
Just as Turin walked off, Friend reappeared again!

"Hail again dark knight and Enchantress! Sorry I left so abruptly earlier. As I said before, My name is Friend. Dark knight, what is your name?"

Enchantress stepped forward, determined to thank the Lady for her service before she disappeared once again.

"Dear Friend, it is I who am at fault. I beg of you to forgive me for the mere silent curtsy I offered you as sign of a greeting. I am Enchantress of Lorien, and my stunning companion - whose departure you have prevented, for which I am eternally grateful to you - is the Dark Knight, Barad-dur. Tell me, dear Lady, do you call yourself a wizardess? Your skill in the art of relocating is astonishing!

Enchantress smiled, waiting for a response.
