Aragorn and Arwen were eating breakfast out on the Palace terrace in peaceful Gondor, enjoying the early morning sun. She was reading the "Daily Osgiliath" while he perused a few kingly documents that were fast approaching their sign by date. Some days it did not pay to be king. He fed Brego a handful of oats. Arwen frowned, she really didn't like that horse dining at the table.
"Anything good happening in the world, dear?" he asked, putting down a report on flax seed requirements for the army. He was soooo bored, he'd even got to the upcoming Elven review when in rolled into town.
"There's a repeat viewing of "A Brandywine River runs through it" at the Majestic..."You, me and Gollum" running at the Paladium...oh and MoME is back on again this year." she said, lowering the paper.
He choked on his morning mead, spraying the table. She rolled her eyes and tossed him a napkin.
"What! Already? What month is it?" he asked, wiping his beard.
"September 9th, by human reckoning."
Aragorn jumped up from the table and scanned the horizon...for any signs of a fell_beast, horse peoples or pirates on the river. "Um, I was never here, you haven't seen me." he told her, strapping on Narsil and running from the room. "And change the out-going message on the answering palantir. We're going to see your father in Imladris...for a couple of months."
"But, Daddy will be gearing up for MoME his own self. Aragorn, where are you really going?" Arwen demanded to know.
"Anywhere notlistening and that annoying, Suo-SHEE captain of hers can't find me." He jumped onto Brego's back and bolted from the palace.
Tooks, sign me up for Aragorn, once we catch up with him. There's no place in the 'verse Mal can't track him down. |

I cannot believe I'm saying this...but I'll sponsor Cirdan of the Havens this year.
Oh gawds what am I getting myself
into?
Lord Cirdan looked up from the plans for the newest ship to see his assistant's ashen face at the door. Concerned, he stood and asked,
"What news?"
"there...there is a, er,
lady
to see you."
"Lady? The Lady Aerwen?"
The assistant shook her head slowly.
"Hmmm...she is not of the Havens?"
The assistant shook her head again.
"Is it urgent?"
The assistant nodded her head this time.
"Well...send her in and we will see. But order the guards to the door."
The assistant was about to nod again when a hand was placed on her shoulder from on high and a deep, gravelly voice said
"That will not be necessary."
Surprised, Cirdan looked up.
And up.
And up.
Looking up even further he finally found the face of a very tall female orc looking down on him.
Squashing down the butterflies that made their way into his stomach, he steadied himself and cursed the fact that he had unstrapped his sword before sitting down to an afternoon of ship planning.

"So I say, let the two prissy elves duke it out and there'll be smooth sailing all teh way to the finish line for the real King of Middle Earth,
not the horsey equivalent who won last year.
" Mal told nl, putting his boots up on the table. He folded his arms behind his head.
"When has anything ever run smooth for us?" nl pointed out. "The elves may band together and ruin our chances."
"True. But betrayal is often sudden but inevitable..." Mal grinned. "I'm just sayin' this could be our year."

Okay, I decided to go for it as a sponsor this year. Lord give me strength. And I am going to sponsor Farmer Maggot!! Yup, he's da man.
Here is a piccie of Farmer Maggot, just in case ya don't know what he looks like.
Okay, so it is Nicholas Cage
.
nl? You took Aragorn!!! I bandied about with him, but decided to go another way. Will Viggo be in your posts?
Edit:
So that the moderators don't have to yell at us, we need to keep images in posts at minimum. I will check the thread, but there is a size limit and we know that us MoMErs like to use our images!! |

Are you going with the Bloomster?
HEY!!! Maybe MoME will get me to my next shineh!! w00t!! |

Hobby
I think it was from Ghost Rider, or during the time of the filming of Ghost Rider. I hope in the end that I picked a good person to pose as Farmer Maggot. We will know once we "get into" it.
Also, The Bloomster is a lovely guy. I hope you have him surf boarding at some point in the pageant!
krawler, good catch! Does that mean that you reviewed ALL the old MoME's? That is some work. |

HAHA Bloomster? Oh wow. Wow. Really I mean it. WOW.
I'ma gonna have to find someone to pose for Cirdan as I'm not thrilled with the guy they got for his whole three seconds of screen time at the end of RoTK. *sigh* I'll find someone. OH HEY! I could always use Sebastian Bach. hehehehe...
EDIT: I CLAIM Sebastian Bach as Cirdan's avatar. No one else can touch him. SO there. Nyeh! |

Hehe, yup, lotsa Elves competing this time.
rwhen, thanks - mmh, he does look like a Ghost Rider...
And, yes, I like the Bloomster, too. Only convincing-looking Elf in the whole movie, IMO. But he also offers lot of options for fooling around, I think... |

It runs the full month of October. Four events, one week per event.
Iris, would be a splendid judge as well.
Welcome on board Vanadarlin', have some fun with it!!
I just read my first year as judge, I had forgotten Bard in the hayloft and Mal on the bench and Mugsy getting poisoned. Loads of fun.
Also this is where Maedhros and Tyggies *fell* for each other. |
