Home Alone 2 - HELLLLLOOOOO
The keys jingle jangle on the very large brass ring that unlocks the massive oaken door that serves as the entrance to all of the many and varied rooms of TORC. Squeaking and creaking the door reveals darkness on the other side of the threshold. The long corridor that leads to each dormitory of fun and debate echos with the stacatto clicking of one lone poster slowly making their way down into the center of it all. The rotunda. "Hello?" No reply awaits the hungry traveler. "Hello? Is there anyone here?" The voice falls into the void.
HEEEEEELLLLLLLOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Well lads and lasses, let us do it all over again and see how many times we are alone on forum or messageboard.
Come on in, and see if you can find the light switch. |

Sheesh last night when I posted I was not only alone but not there myself according to TORC.
I am so very glad to see our new digs!!
Looks around at the huge room and walks back out into the corridor. A terrible screeching noise is heard then the door opens again and in comes Vana draggin a huge overstuffed chair.
Hey do you mind if I bring my favorite chair in so that I can sit and enjoy this place? I got a small table out there too if I can get a hand with the stuff sitting on it? Yes it is a tray of goodies and some drinks.
Taps Wench on the shoulder and they both duck back out to bring in the table and goodies. Soon they are back with it set up in the center of the huge room for everyone to enjoy.
There now we are ready for company!
Vana wipes her hands on her pant legs and then sighs.
Oops I forgot!
She snaps her fingers and a group of dwarves pop through the door and bow.
Hey guys these ladies need chairs too so go get the ones I have set up in the basement by the freight elevator and hurry they look tired!
Off they run only to return shortly with more chairs of every assortment of comfiness.

This morning, I have paid bills, got two packages ready to be sent in for repair. Got two payments set up for auto pay at the bank. Got my appointment set to have the GPS installed. And been on the phone, with replying to at least ten work emails and STILL got breakfast in there.
So now, I am at a point to be caught up enough to play on TORC.
*wipes brow* Not bad for 4.5 hours. |

Yup. But now I am really ready.
I got ya stumped over in Fadoodle land eh? Try to think of a "joke" rather than an actual Fadoodle and that could help you out. What is black and white and goes round and round and round? |

A Dalmation puppy chasing his (or her) tail?
Ooooo, nice new place ya got here. Echoes and everything . . .
Well, I got run roughshod this morning. I though, gee, Canadian Tire has really good prices on building stuff too and it's about 25 minutes closer to my house, so I'll just pop in there for the shelving supplies.
WRONG.
They've stopped selling it. As recently as May or June, since that was the last time I was in there and they had a whole swack of the stuff. Grrrrrrr. so that meant a trip to Home Despot, since I was now in no mood to drive out to Sherwood Park to Totem. Ah well, I got the stuff and now, it's Scribe with a Power Drill time . . .
Yeeeeehawwwww!!

Great answer, not the one that I had in mind, but a really good one. If you posted that over on the Fadoodle thread, it WOULD fit the criteria of the Fadoodle.
Have fun shelving, now that you are less a few hours in your vacation day running around!! |

Oooh yes Vana, and if she did, hows the furniture look?
Well, as I posted over in the "What time is it", a half hour job has turned into an hour and a half fiasco.
Don't ask.
Suffice it to say, my three classical CD's are on their second repeat on the computer and if I'm not done in a half hour, I may just fling myself out of my upstairs window . . .

Mmmmm, thanks Rose! I'm famished . . .
Oooookay, it turned out to be a banner day, even though the shelving took WAY longer than it should have . . . but I managed to:
- take old phone books to recycle
- take Christmas bags to a friends (for our annual Toy Run for the Battered Women and Children's Centre)
- pick up shelving supplies, new hot air registers and some more Solar LED garden lights
- pick up a prescription
- clear out and
put up shelving
in the office/library closet
- clean up the office/library
- replace all the hot air registers (we had grody old plastic things, ugh. Now we have nice brushed pewter )
- replace two malfunctioning Solar LED garden lights out back and put some out in the front garden
- phone 4 or 5 carpet steam cleaning companies for information ad quotes
- move some shelves to the garage and tidy up
- do a load of laundry
Whew! I wonder why my feet hurt, LOLOL.
You don't even
want
to know what sort of amusements I have planned for tomorrow . ..

I don't have anything to do today. Just laze around and do a bit of food shopping. But tomorrow I'm up at the crack of dawn (actually before dawn) to go to work. Eek!
It looks like it's going to be a lovely day today, so I'm hoping tomorrow is the same, thus making the early morning drive a bit nicer.
You sound very productive,
Scribbles.
Since hopefully in the next couple of weeks I should be being productive moving into a new house, then perhaps I should enjoy my last day of doing nothing. But even lazy ol' me sometimes feels like she should be doing something! Oh well, I suppose I could clean the stove. |

Scribbles, that was some great ta-do list work. Well done. Your hubby unit should be very pleased when he gets back on what you have accomplished on your vacation. Ya know....some people actually relax on their vacations.
Vanadarlin', how was lunch with the sister? Where did you end up going?

I am going to be leaving to drop my car off this morning. It is a two hour round trip from here to the dealership and back again, and then the work will take 2-3 hours. Either my brother will bring me back here or he and I will tootle about while the car gets the GPS put on it. But I will try to post with you as much as I can.

Yep. And normally, I do too. But the project I'm on at work was an utter nutter this spring and early summer, so the normal "ToDo stuff" here at home just piled up and now, here I am behind the 8-ball. You know how it goes, once you get behind, it just gets worse and worse. So, I decided that for my mental health, I need to get as caught up as possible. I figure that the past 2 days have caught me up to about oh, end of May or so.
I've had my coffee and toast, and now it's time to tackle the next round of "chores". Our weather has been decidedly fickle, so I'm not sure how much outdoor stuff will get knocked off . . . I guess we'll see.
Okay, off to tackle the roll-down blinds and the dining room . . . then put down the new area rugs in the foyers . . .
*waves HELLLOOOOOOO!!! and byeeee!!! . . .
