Let's Get this Party Started: 4Rwhen! It's the Final Countdown people! (oh joy.. now I have that song playing in my head!) Our very own Lady rwhen is less than 200 posts to her SECOND big shiny. And we all know how fast she can spa.. I mean post! She'll be grabbing that ring in no time at all! So.. stop in.. pull up a chair.. have a cup o' tea or ale or whatever wets your whistle while we wait to celebrate the latest DOUBLE RINGER! I'm just starting to set up the food... you're welcome to bring something if you'd like!

Rose it is basically a salted and cured ham. Process takes several months, similar to our country hams. And when you buy it HERE it is mostly sold as prosciutto. YUMMY. Prosciutto wrapped grilled asparagus. thud

It is served raw. This type of ham is never cooked just cured. It is delicious with asparagus as m'lady says but also with mozarella cheese in a salad. In Italy it is served by itself with just olives, bread and wine as a starter.
