and all the other imaginable ways to greet you, dear virtual presence!
Whew - I haven't been around in ages, which is apparent from all the cob-webs I had to clear out from my corner of the cave. Yet, like somebody wise once said, it is better to be late than never, and late - my friends - is my middle name. Or callsign, if you will. Klonkku "The Late" Klonkmeister.
Some of you old grey-bearded ( or grey-haired if you are a female - although if you are a woman with a beard, I apologize and just say, 'All the more power to ya!' ) might remember me and my fissh-loving antics. I hope some of you do, at least.  To those of you who have no idea who I am, don't be afraid - this is the perfect opportunity to get to know the man with the worst breath of them all. I really suggest you either use a gas-mask while visiting this den of mine, or for you to look the other way when I speak to you, as the smell isn't pleasant. That's what hundreds of years of eating nothing but fissh and having no tooth-paste around does to you. Try it if you don't believe it! 
So... Why did I create this thread, then? Two reasons: 1) I have been waxing nostalgia about my virtual past, and TolkienOnline is still number one in my list of 'lifetime time-wasters', and 2) I still remember the regulars, think that you are wonderful, and am interested to see what is up - or 'whazzup', like the youngsters say - with the place. Third, unofficial reason might be this: I have no time to check in on all the pre-existing threads for gossip, so it is easier for me to get back into the groove by just checking this thread ( exclusively ) for a while. So crack those knuckles and post something... Anything! Have questions? Throw them to me, rather than away! Have comments? BRING 'EM ON! Want to just kick back and drink some fissh-liver oil with the best of us? Here's a chair, and a pint filled to the brim with the oiliest brand!
Anyway, now I have to flee - real-life ( or whatever it is ) is calling. It's good to be back, even in this limited form, and I hope to see this thread a few replies fatter once I return.

what's your favorite fish to nibble on and do you feel a particular kinship with Gollum, whom I believe to be the most under-rated, misunderstood and smelliest character in ME?

How is the acting career going? Are you still doing that? And the home life? It is many years since the time that we all pranced about the boards doing crazy things.

I am particularly keen on nibbling Salmon, although anything goes. And like our fair lady

here said, Klonkku is finnish for 'Gollum', so yes... I've felt a special bond with the said character ever since I first read the Lord of the Rings, which was over a decade ago.

Whenever I forget, I just follow my nose... Career is going pretty good, actually! I've been acting in the Finnish National Theatre for the past year, in a play called 'On the shore of the wide world'. It is nearing the end of its run, unfortunately... But what a ride it has been! I feel that I have learned so much from watching the ( old-school ) professionals do their work... I have been in great company lately. The show has gained great reviews and feedback from audience, too, so it has been a success. ^__^;
Now I might have some other projects on the horizon, but I can't really speak about them yet, as none of them have been signed for... But I'll surely keep you up to date on this. Also, I still have a year and a half of acting-school left, so I have to concentrate on that, too. x)

I am REALLY back this time, old friend. At least within the borders of this thread... I'll venture out into the wilderness of TORC soon enough, I promise. Oh, and tell Terry D that it should be the other way around - that I should be looking for him. I mean... He's a legend, and I'm a wannabe, and that's the way it should go.
For acting career update, scroll up. Family-life is going swell... I'm living alone in a student-apartment myself, but my mother just bought a big house in Kokkola ( my home-town ) and moved in with her 'soon-to-be-husband' ( all bets are off! ). I'm so happy for her! My little-sister, Anni, is now 5 years old... Can you believe that? I think I wrote about her birth here all those years ago... Seems like yesterday, too.
That also applies to what you said about our prancing and table-dancing years and years ago... Those were happy times, and they may be long gone, but I still remember them fondly. As if they happened yesterday.
And what comes to that spell.. I'll try my best!

You're not even at half of what I have, Judy. Funny, though, that at least 80% of these posts were made during the first few years of my stay... So, in retrospect, you have probably posted much more than I have in the past 2-3 years or so.
I used to be a very talented spammer, you know. And yeah, a world-class TORC time-waster back in the day. This was, quite literally, my second home.

Nostalgia. Pure nostalgia. Like I said, this forum used to be my home away from home, and due to that it will always remain special to me.
Oh, and reading about the forthcoming Hobbit -movie(s) from Total Film -magazine also reminded me of TORC. Oh the times when we were all still throwing rumours and anticipating
