Chicken Run Fun Event Report

Postby Rorgloin » Mon Oct 11, 2010 8:53 am

The Rorgloin and Company chicken farm was a devestating financial failure, costing the Company (and, due to its current funds of sixteen silver pennies, the Servants of the Secret Fire Benefactors) several hundred silver.

All in all, the event went quite well! Here is a breakdown of who made it where:

Kindor - Bree
Tule - Just past the Ford of the Bruinen
Oafus - Just past Tule's death site
Bennbo - Within sight of the road into Rivendell!
Rorgloin - The same
Slim - The Branywine River

(If I have forgotten someone, which I know I have, please let me know in a response!)

Post your screenshots from the event here; if you want to have more events like this in the future, do give your feedback!

Failure was partly our fault, and partly the guy trying to "help" us. He aggroed the beasts and kept running, and he aggroed quite a lot of them. So when the beasts reset they ran back down the hill and noticed all the chickens... Helping out chickens is a tricky business, best not attempted by amateurs.

Kindor did make it all the way eventually, he know owns a Cloak of the Cluck as well.

OK, here are the two chickens with Radagast. I was tempted to have these two for dinner, but Radagast gave me such a look that fled in fear. When I returned the chickens had gone.

Tule, your chickens look much more detailed than mine; why is that?

Probably higher screen resolution and graphics settings.

I have my graphics set to 'ultra high'; how do I increase the graphics level past that?

1680x1050 resolution, and this picture was chopped out of that, no scaling up or down. Your pictures seem to be either lower resolution, or with anti-aliasing off, or scaled up, or something.

Also, do you have the high resolution client? With the enhanced textures?

Might I inquire as to what that is? I also would like to know where I might find an indication of its possesion of these higher quality graphics.
