The wind howled as the weary wanderer reached the inn. He had been travelling for six days now, resting only when the weather was dreadful. He pushed open the heavy door and took off his pointed hat, the lamps of the inn bathing him in yellow light.
"Hail all!" He spoke, clutching the small leather bag in his palm. "I come with the ashes of the nazgul, of the historic winged dragons...and of the creatures that will destroy Middle-earth forever. Who dares question my arrival?"
And the brave young woman seated at the bar stood up and cast her long cloak aside.
"I do." She said.

ooc- OK got yeh, thanx for the explanation! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

Niniel Agarwaen was the one who stood up. She was a brave young girl, and always spoke true to her words. She was wearing a long Dark Green Cloak and forest Garb. Anyone who looked at her could see her stong Elven Features. He looked at her and a wide amile of disbelief crossed his face and vanished. "You? You! You dare to question my words? Just a young foolish girl, Ha! You are nothing! I will show you!" he said in a menacing tone. "We shall see," Niniel said under her breath.

Garthok glared at the young elf who stood up and cast aside his grey cloak.
"All you fools have no idea what is to become of Middle-earth," He rambled on. "all of you filthy creatures will perish! And the Dark lord will--"
"The Dark Lord will what?" Cut in a tall, raven-haired elf-maiden who had just turned from her seat on the bar. She was cloaked in blue and her features were soft but stern. "The Dark Lord shall do what, Garthok of Barad-dur?" She demanded.
Garthok stared at the elven maiden in shock.
"You're...you're...the Lady ArWeN^!" He squeaked, his eyes wide with fear.
The maiden smiled. "Yes Garthok. It is I. And I have heard of what you have been doing lately. And I have come to put a stop to it."
Garthok's fearful expression vanished and his eyes went wild.
"No one will stop me! No one will hinder the coming of The Dark Lord again!" And with that, the wizard vanished in a tongue of flame, leaving the corwd at the Pony bewildered.

Niniel walked over to the women who called was called ArWeN^. "My lady," she asked in an uncertain voice. ArWeN^ looked at her, "yes?" "My lady, do you think we should ride after him? I wouldn't want him to harm someone and I don't want him to bring back to life what Middle Earth had before this time." ArWeN^ looked at the girl a moment then turned away. "Yes," she said. "I think you are quite right, come we'll ride together for the time being." As the two women walked out the door, everyone sighed in relief. "Well, won't have to worry 'bout those two anymore," said a man. "No, not likely, they'll all crazed anyway," said another. They started to laugh.

ArWeN^ cast aside her dark cloak and glanced over her shoulder as the crowd at the Pony laughed at her and her companion.
She turned, glaring at them darkly.
"Yes, laugh now, fools. But I promise you, soon you won't be laughing any longer after your corpses are thrown into the Dead Marshes."
There was utter silence as she turned and left.

When she was going out, someone touched her shoulder.
It was a young woman. Her features were Elven, but her eyes... They were not grey but blue! And her hair didn't resemble Elvish.
Wait, she said.
ArWeN^ looked at her. There was great bitterness in her eyes. Her name was perfect for her. It was Sare - "bitter".
I'm a Dark Elf. My parents, my grandparents - all my family - they were Melkor's warriors.
But I'm not evil. And nor were they.
There is no time to discuss such questions. I want to go with you.
Can I?

(OOC - I won't be here for some days, please let me in!)

ArWeN^ added.
Niniel shrugged and walked over to her horse. "Don't worry. So where shall we go off to?"
ArWeN^ glanced at Sare. "I believe you know the way?"
Sare looked up slowly at her. "Yes, as a matter of fact, I do."

Niniel Smiled at Sare, a very grim smile. Niniel looked at ArWen, who looked back at her grimly.
"Well, aren't we just a cheery bunch today," she smiled to herself as they started off.
ArWeN^ mounted her steed, throwing her cloak aside and leaning over to pat Shadow.
"We'll be off now." She said to Sare and Niniel, who mounted on their steeds.
Sare looked grimly at ArWeN^. "Why don't you lead the way?" She asked reluctantly.
ArWeN^ raised her eyebrows. "Of course. I'll lead the way."
Niniel looked from ArWeN^ to Sare. She had no idea what was going on.
They rode for a while, stopping only to rest. They had reached Fornost, and ArWeN^ halted, listening.
In the darkness, they heard a man's voice, chanting.
"Almek emel in-al un...almek emel in-al un..."
ArWeN^'s eyes widened and she jumped off her horse, unsheathed her horse and leaped through the bushes.
"All right, Garthok, give me the bag." She ordered, her eyes trained on the old man sprawled on the ground, ArWeN^'s blade on his throat.
Just then a rider approached on a gray horse. He spoke, "My Lady, while I'm sure you would take great pleasure in spilling the blood of this foul creature, let me assure you that nothing will be gained from it. He does not have the bag you speak of. My name is Aramor, and I think I can help you find what you seek.

I was on my way to this inn from the north hoping to catch a bit of a rest. Just now I was assaulted on the road by what appeared to be a Black Rider. At first I thought I was seeing things, as all the Black Riders were destroyed. But as we charged each other I realized it was a disguise. It was someone who very much wanted people to believe that he was one of the Nazgul reborn. My first sword stroke was blocked. But as we charged each other again he was not so lucky. I cut off his sword hand and fatally wounded his horse with one blow.
As he fell from his horse I saw a small brown leather bag fall. He scrambled for the bag, grabbed it, and hobbled into the woods. May I present you with his sword." Aramor hands the Lady the weapon of his attacker. He continues "His mount lies in the road just north of here, and I'm sure with his missing hand he must be leaving a trail of blood. I know not what this all has to do with, but I fear that it cannot be anything good. My Lady please allow me to offer my help to you in any way that you may require. Follow me I'll show you where our skirmish took place."

With that Aramor headed north away from the inn. Soon they came upon a huge black horse laying dead in the road. Next to the horse was a gloved hand that appeared as if it had been cut clean from the arm of its owner. A small trail of blood led into the woods on the right side of the road. Aramor spoke "See, it is just as I have described it to you. Now do you think someone could please explain to me what is going on?"

"Great," Sare said."The situation is worse and worse. Now we can't be sure what happened to the bag. He could loose it in the forest. He could hide it somewhere. He could give it to someone. And I'm sure he won't tell us." She looked at Garthok, who was lying on the ground tied. He was staring at them angrily.
"And your question, noble Aramor... You'd better ask Lady ArWeN^." She looked into Aramor's eyes. He had the feeling that she was reading his thoughts.
"You can trust him," she told ArWeN^, and went up to Niniel. They began speaking quietly. It looked like they were becoming friends.

As Sare and Niniel talked the elves wathced what Arwen and The new commer were doing. "I don't know about all this," Niniel looked at Sare. "I mean it seems odd that he would show up, and the bag was given to someone else, and the fact that we have the old man." They were silent for a moment.
"Come on you two, we're going to track the vile person," Arwen said to them.
"If we split up we'll make faster time," Sare Spoke up. "I mean Ninile and I could search for any thing that might be important while you two look for the black rider."
"Good idea," Arwen said as they all set off.

Sare and Niniel watched ArWeN^ and Aramor disappearing in the night.
"We're meeting here in three hours," they heard, and then there was silence.
"Let's begin our search," Sare said, and they went to the other side of the road.
"I doubt that the "black rider" was alone," Niniel said.
"So do I", Sare answered. " I guess there are nine of them. Someone wants people to believe that they returned."
"And if we don't find the bag, they will," Niniel added sadly.
Suddenly Sare stopped.
"Hide! Quickly!" she whispered. Hardly had they hidden, a figure in black passed the place they had been standing.
"Did you see his arms?" Sare asked when it was over.
"Yes, I did. He had both of them. Didn't you see it yourself?"
Sare shrugged her shoulders.
"I'm not Elvish."
Niniel looked surprised, but said nothing. They now followed the black rider.
"Tell me about yourself," Sare said after some time passed.

(OOC-sorry for not replying you guys, I got delayed <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> Am i forgiven?)

ArWeN^ watched the newcomer with new respect. She wanted to know if he did slay a "Black Rider" in disguise.
"You want to know what is going on?" She asked Aramor, pushing back the branches that clawed at them as they trudged through the trees.
She had tied up Garthok and was still pointing her elvish blade at him.
Aramor smiled grimly. "Yes, as a matter of fact, I do." He replied.
ArWeN^ lowered her eyes to the ground. "Garthok," She began, shooting an annoyed glare at her captive. "is one of Sauron's followers. He once belonged to our beautiful place of Minas Ithil, now known as Ithilien. He worked for Lord Denethor for quite some time. But when he had encountered Sauron in the woods, and was given a deal, he had completely betrayed us." She bowed her head in shame. "And I could not stop it then."
The others were quiet as she spoke.
ArWeN^ raised her head. "Garthok had exchanged my parents' life for the overwhelming respect of Sauron. My parents were keepers of the Ashes of the Morgul and the others creatures that roamed Middle-earth. When Denethor died, and Lord Faramir ruled Ithilien, Garthok sold my parents out to Sauron. And they were killed." She closed her eyes and shook her head bitterly. "That is why Garthok now has the ashes."
When she finished, the others were looking at her with pity.
ArWeN^ gritted her teeth. "No, do not give me pity!" She said, her eyes blazing. "Let us just get this over with." She said, and turned away.
The others sighed heavily as they followed the scent of fresh blood.
Suddenly, a figure from the darkness of the bushes leaped on ArWeN^, caging her in between its strong arms.
The figure unsheathed a jeweled dagger and pointed it at her throat.
"Hello Lady ArWeN^. We meet again."

ooc: Welcome back Arwen, you are indeed forgiven. Also, the others have gone to see what they can find while we follow the "black rider."
So at the moment its just you and me in this part of the tale.

Aramor reacted quickly, unsheathing his sword he swung it at the figure's neck. Arwen looked in horror at the blade as it bore down on her too. But she knew what to do. She felt the dagger on her throat fall as the sword came nearer to them. She ducked just before Aramor cut the head off of her captor.

Aramor stood next to Arwen staring at the body on the ground still twitching, not yet aware that its head had been removed. When the twitching stopped Aramor said to Arwen "I take it you two have met before?"

Niniel looked at Sare then pondered a while on the black Riders.
"Tell me about yourself," she heard Sare say.
She looked at thhe woman thenthought a moment.
"There's really not that much to tell," she said looking at Sare. "My mother was killed by Orcs when I was and Baby and I never knew my Father. I was raised on the Lonley Mountain as a child and an old Dwarf taught me everything I know about a sword. I went to Mirkwood a few years back and they taught me a few things about my Elven Heritage."
They both were silent for a moment. "What about you?" Niniel asked.
But she didn't have time to get an Answer for just then they saw someone through the trees talking. They Crouched down in the bushes and saw that it was. . .

...The black rider they were following. And he had a little gray bag in his hand!
"It's not our bag," Niniel thought."It is not brown but gray."
"It's not our bag", she whispered.
"But it has the same in it, I feel it," Sare answered.
Then everything happened very quickly. The black rider's head turned towards them. It was clear he noticed them. Sare jumped and pulled the bag. She threw it to Niniel and took her sword.
"Run!" she cried to Niniel, not stopping with blocking the black rider's hits."Oh Eru, run as quickly as you can! Find Arwen and Aramor! I'll try to delay him!"
Niniel had nothing better than to obey...

She wistled Shrilly and her horse appeared she jumped on and the horse thundered to where Arwen and Aramor should be. . . but they weren't there. "Where are they?" she said to her horse. Sare was doing everything she could, but the black rider used his sword much better than she did and he had a shield. She was already wounded twice.
A hit - and her sword flew out of her hand and landed somewhere in the grass. Sare understood that it was the end for her. Niniel had this odd feeling, she couldn't expalin it. "Whoa girl, whoa. . . Easy Tir-na-nog." She looked around and new then tha something had happened to Sare. "O pickle jars!" she managed when she saw what was before her. It was another black rider on a great winged creature. She drew her sword and looked around for Aramor and Arwen, she caught sight of them not to far away. She didn't have time for questions or answers so she charged. She was about to swipe hr sword across the creature when she was nocked of her horse. She looked around her but couldn't find what had done it, she stood up and saw that it was the Witch King standing before her with his sword drawn. . .
