"The Good do not always prevail. Sometimes, whether through conspiracy or betrayal, or any other kind of deceit for that matter, Evil prevails. In times of hate, anger, vengence or even in love evil will seep its way into the very veins and arteries of the heart and suck the very life out of the human soul.
Evil gives power, and with power life. Evil brings destruction and with it death, and here begins the fall of the Good, and the Rise of Evil... Listen closly."

"You can only have one power, or you can control both. Controlling both good and evil is practically impossible, so therefore you pick the stronger power, and use it to destroy the weaker power, and now begins The War of The Powers."

"The War has been brewing for years now, and the assination of the Elven Lord, just tipped the barrel. Who was it again whom did that? Ah yes, it was I?"

"And your majesty did a wonderous job of it too." A man appeared from the corner. "For you are the Pheonix; the immortal one. Are you not?"

"Gravelling does not do well for you my Lord." said the Phoenix.

The man bowed.

Phoenix smiled. "You did not travel this far to show gratitude for the fine favor I did for you. What are you seeking?"

"You see right through me."

The Phoenix' eyes flashed, "I do..." pausing before continuing The Pheonix studied the man inticingly. He shifted his weight to his right side she noticed.
"Well, I cannot stand here all day," Pheonix said, "so either you get on with, or leave."

"I come to ask your Majesty of Mordor, daughter of Sauron, if she would take my advice."

The Pheonix drew a cold suspicious gaze... "And your advice...?" she questioned.

"My advice,' the man said pausing, "would be that now you have conquered the Elf Lord that you take all of Middle Earth into your command." the man paused again, "What I mean to say is since you could kill such a warrior, then surely you may conquer any that you wish.

The Pheonix walked towards him with a cold gaze. She walked behind him and placed a hand on his shoulder. She pointed out the window. Which showed all the lands to Gondor. "You do not listen well, I can see right through you, you maggot. You think I didn't know that you sent me to take care of the scum, hoping that would be my fall, and now you urge me to take all my arms up and fight now."

The man tried to defend himself.

"Sh," said Pheonix, "You are a liar. And you have betrayed me." Her anger began to rise. She threw the man down on the floor. "I hate liars. I kill those whom betray. You,' she spit on him, " are no better than our enemies." The Pheonix kicked the man hard in the stomach.
"Basil!" She called. No sooner had she finished the name when a tall built man of 6'3 entered the room. He had a stern face on him.

"Yes your Majesty?" he said.

"Take this thing into the dungeons, make sure he is dead by dawn." Basil picked up the shrieking man and carried him our of the room.

Pheonix walked over to the window of the high stone tower. The wind caught in her long red hair, and her bright green eyes a blaze with fury like a sword that shines when it is hit by it's very first moonlight.
Her anger poured into her heart, egnighted hate and vengence. 'I will kill every last one of them,' She thought to herself.

'I will be the giver of the utter most pain and death one would think unimaginable. I will spill their blood on the fields of their forefathers, those whom gave them freedom. And I will be the one to take it back.' She slammed her fist down.

A cold and evil smile broke across her pale face. She looked up at the sky as the sun just set and stars appeared vividly.
"I see their deaths in the heavens... and I will send them there."

Pheonix walked from the window, tearing her eyes away from the vast lands she knew that she will once have in her power. She walk over to the great wooden doors that happened to be locked with a fine iron latch. She carefully and quietly undid the latch and swung the creaking door open. SHe walked into a room which held one object. The room itself was grand and tall. The walls reached up 20 feet meeting a black ceiling. The black and gray marble floor was shiney and almost new looking, it did not contain on it a single stratch or blood stain.
The Pheonix' footsteps did not echo once as she made her way to the object that lay in the middle of the hall. It was a stone. Placed safely on a black silk pilloe with red trimmings. It was held up reaching her waist by an iron table. On each of the four legs of the table were thorns that twisted up the leg. On the front panel was an eye. The mark of Sauron. She looked at the eye with a fixed gaze and then placing her left hand gently on her right arm. Removing the sleeve in which covered the same mark that had been burned on her arm by The Dark Lord himself when Pheonix came of age. A strong warrior she was.
A young girl stood at the wooden doors. She had a very appealing look, her face was soft but worn, she had seen many things in her short life. She glanced about the room and then finally set on the daughter of Sauron. Her boots making no sound as she walked to the center of the great room. She looked at the eye for a moment, her eyes flickered green and then returned to gray. She lifted her hand and paused, then put her hand lightly on Pheonix's shoulder. Waiting a moment before she spoke.
"Majesty, that day will come. Their blood will stain the earth. But come I must talk to you. That man, he did not do this by himself, he must be apart of something. I was watching him closely, something about him...i didn't like it"

((Nice...can I join?)

Her name was Alayna, she had rather long black hair, and was disturbingly beautiful and lastly, she was a sorceress. Not as powerful as Galadriel of course, but since the White Lady was out of the picture, she was the most powerful sorceress around. She had the power to send bolts of electricity through her victims, killing them slowly. Or she could just use fire to burn them slowly. It was, after all, her choice. She carried an elaborately carved wooden staff with ancient languages engraved on it. On top of the staff lay a ceryll, of a deep sapphire hue. She had sworn allegiance to the Immortal one, or, as some prefered to call her, Phoenix. She stood by the door, waiting to be called in, for she knew Phoenix was busy now. She saw the man being dragged out of the Phoenix's chamber by Basil, her majesty's henchman. She thought to herself What crime did he commit, that he has to be punished so? Whatever it is, I will not make the same mistake. Ever.

((Is this post good enough to let me be accepted?))

Turning around, Luinil's eyes set apon a sorceress standing in the door, her power must be great. Her eyes flickered green and returned to gray. Luinil approached the sorceress. As she came closer she recognized this mysterious and powerful sorceress.
"Ah Alayna, it warms my heart to see you, I have heard you have sworn your allegiance to the immortal one? She is greatly pleased. Come, she is busy right now, but she will be return in a few moments. Shall we sit and talk awhile? I'm very sorry I have not introduced myself, I know who you are, being so powerful, but I'm not well known. My name is Luinil, I am an powerful elf, but not, of course, as powerful as you. I serve Pheonix"
Her eyes flickered green and then returned to gray again,Shall I trust her? I must not doubt those more powerful than I.
"Ah, here is Pheonix now" turning to Pheonix "This is Alayna, she wishes to speak to you, I shall leave you alone"
The Pheonix turned around. She looked at Luinil, "Wait, I have a task for you... You are right, there must be more comspiring against our cause other than the enemies. Methinks, even on our own side... You Luinil, go and seek these rats out, but, do not let any know that I am on to their sneaky plans. A be careful do not fail or betray, For I would rather shake the hand of Lady Galadriel than bear any of traitors." She bowed her head and gave Luinil an antagonizing stare. She searched her, "And remember Luinil, I can see right through you!" She smiling, though it was a smile of knowledge and ice, some warmth she sent to Luinil.

"and I hope when you see right through me, you see my loyalty and devotion." Luinil said as she flashed a warm and always mysterious smile back. Turning to Alayna "I hope to see you again, so we may talk some more." Turning back to Pheonix "I will leave at once, and talk to our allies. I will be careful not bring to any attention to your suspicion. As soon as I am done I will return as quickly as I can and give you what I have gathered. Farewell both of you, I will not be gone long."
Turning around she walked to the doors, paused and looked back at Alayna and Pheonix, and then swiftly left the room. Talking to herself as she walked down the halls "what an interesting task for me, this will be most enjoyable, I cannot be noticed as I travel to Pheonix's allies. What do I need to bring? Sword? Cloak? Food? That shall be all I need, this should not take me more than a day. Rats are the easiest to seek out of a group."
Her eyes flickered green and then back to gray. yes, most enjoyable

I wonder what that crowd was? An army, pah! that looks like small gathering. But we do need all the help we can get. They probably want to betray Her Majesty, everyone is lately, how hard it must be on Pheonix. I wish I was back there.
Luinil stood for a moment lost in thought, realizing she was losing precious time, she pulled the hood of her deep green cloak tightly over her brown hair. She checked over everything, her sword, her bag filled with food and drink, bow and arrow, and her necklace. Everything was concealed under her cloak and she was almost invisible with the exception of her pale face.
Luinil's eyes flickered green and quickly returned to gray. "Master needs me back soon. There are too many rats about the place now. She needs my careful advice, my watchful eye, and my vast knowlege. I must hurry"
With a flick of her cloak, Luinil turned towards the forest, and drawing in a deep breath, She quickly and silently walked into the dark forest.

Alayna smiled. So there were many people who had sworn allegiance to Phoenix, and she was but another. She entered Phoenix's chamber, and bowed before her lady. "Milady. I am at your service. What command do you have of me? Anyway, much news have reached my ears. I feel that there are many people seeking revenge, especially the elven folk, after the murder of the elven lord. But," she added quickly,"I am sure you can take care of them in due time. Asides from that, I also feel that there may people who will threaten your rule. But whether they will suceed, I cannot say." She stopped, waiting for Phoenix to reply or dismiss her. "Is there anything else you require in the meantime? If there is nothing, I will now leave. Milady." She waited for either a dismissal or a command, only then would she leave.

The Pheonix studied the girl.
"Quite powerful you are? This is why I have sent. You see, power once tasted is addicting. One will come to want more and more. But you see, I, I was born of power therefore power is me. What I would like to know is what are you capable of? Come I do not want to cloud the eye... Let us sit." She walked with the young girl ever to a small iron bench and sat.

"I am not just an immortal warrior, but a sorceress as well. I have set for you because of you powers but what baffles me. Is why have you come?" The Pheonix paused and looked into the girls eyes. "Why could your mind young one? Unless there is something you want to keep hidden..."

Both just gazed upon eachother eyes. Pheonix felt great strength from this one. She had never known another Elf to carry such power other than Lady Galadriel.

"Tell me... Why have you denounced your kin?"

The Pheonix felt someone else in the room. Shs did not have to look behind her to know who it was, the eye had already informed her.
"Basil!" She called. The Pheonix turned around and looked at the women. The young Elf stood up beside her, though looking like a child to the Pheonix, for The Pheonix was a good 1/2 foot taller than she.
Basil came up behind her.
"Yes your Majesty?"
"Call Luinil back, I would like her here." She said simply.

Then she turned back to the new company at which stood before her.
She walked towards the women, and then around her.
"How may I help you?" Pheonix paused. "And may I warn you, it shall better be a very interesting reason, or else I shall have your head for dinner. I do ever dislike trespassers." Pheonix looked at her coldly.

The Pheonix laughed; shrill and cold. "You must pardon my humor."
Pheonix looked at her, but more searchingly looking. She strode to the stone, which was held in the center. Pheonix placed a hand upon the cool, smooth surface. She whispered to the stone;

Eye of Sauron, daughter of Dark, show me in which I speak for 'tis I carry the Mark. Tell me truth, no lies, and show if the one is the enemie in disguse.

The Stone swirled in magnificent colors of red and black. Then it showed her, though none around could see, The Pheonix saw. She smiled vaguely though turning around to face this "Emerald Queen" she quickly removed it from her face.

"Your eyes are clouded though Why? I ask. If you come to kill, then why hide your past?"

She spoke to the Queen in riddles, it was quite amusing to the Pheonix.

"In all the days that I have seen, yet none have shown you. You have arrived from where you have been, and asking loyalty too. For I have not heard of an Emerald Queen, so tell me who are you?" Said the Pheonix in a musical voice, though taunting.

She smiled inwardly at the Peonix. And then answered coldly
My eyes are clouded because your stone cannot see beyond your world.
She eyed Peonix up and down taking in everything about her
I am not from Middle Earth so your stone cannot see all the way through me.
I am here to conquer with or without you.I wondered if you were as great as I have heard.
A week before, she had taken a walk in the hall of worlds and had heard that there was one who was born to rule and conquer.
This sparked the Emerald's intrest as it was a story much like her own
And you may call me Anya.
She could hear all the thoughts of the creatures scurrying around, carrying out their own buisness all across ME.The voices would drive most other people insane but Anya could block out all the unimportant noise.
But there was one mind that caught her attention - Luinil.(i hope i spelt that right!<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif"border=0>)She was thinking about her orders and Anya found it amusing how she was so intent on not annoying the Peonix.

"Milady, I owe you an answer for my insolence. Indeed, I cannot be more powerful than you, and I too understand the enticing feel of power, but I have chosen to be a humble follower rather than a leader, for I know that since I will be up against you if I were a challenger, and that, of course, would be suicidal. So I did the most sensible thing and joined with you. I may be no more than a mere pawn in your game, but if it may increase my chances of success in the world, it would be a pleasure. I may be young, but you can rest assured that I will serve you with my life, and not suddenly turn on you during a battle." Alayna feared this woman. She seemed horrifying to Alayna's young mind. The mere thought of her sent shivers down her spine. "If there is anything you may require of me, I will always be at your service, and I feel you will know where I am. I shall now leave you to speak to your unexpected visitor in peace, and will not disturb you anymore." She bowed before leaving the chamber. Once she was out, she heaved a sigh of relief. After taking a few deep breaths, she then proceeded to head to her room.

Luinil noticed Alayna exit. Luinil laughed quietly and said to herself. "She is young, she knows not the full capacity of her powers. But she will learn, and she will hold much power."
She slowly approached the doors and paused before she went in. There were two voices, Pheonix must be with Anya. She ran a hand through her brown hair and with a swift and silent motion she opened the door and quietly walked in.
"Pheonix, you called me? Basil found me, sorry I have taken so much time. I could not help myself but take a look at the troops. They were most amusing, their disorganization and lack of strength...oh hello Anya. Now I can finally meet you, it is a pleasure." She gave Anya one of her colder smiles.
"What is amusing is you. I will give you some advice Anya, those who annoy the Immortal One will be totured and killed. And do not underestimate me. I can help you, but I will not if you get on my bad side, and so far you are not doing so well. Do not think that you do not need my aid, for I know you do, and you know you cannot get very far without it. But I need to know what your plans are and whether or not you decide to betray Pheonix." Luinil thought not to herself, but she was speaking to Anya using her thoughts.
Pausing a moment, she turned to Pheonix she said "What would you like from me?"

Anya heard what Luinil had to say and then spoke back to her through mind speak
"well you can tortuer me and try to kill me all you want but i shall never die.If you wish to fight about trivial things like this world then be my guest, but remember - you do not know who I am or what I am.So I suggest you leave the threatening to Pheonix. And if you worry about betrayal do not as I detest it more than followers of the light.I can show you what I do to rats if you really want me to."
She sent Luinil an image of what had happened to her advisor earlier that afternoon. The image was all Luinil could see for a couple of seconds but then it faded away.
Anya's lips curled back into a cold smile as she spoke again to the Pheonix,
If you wish to know more about my armies I can show you.

Unknown to the others, Alayna was listening to their conversations, using a scrying glass. With it, she could actually see what was going on with Phoenix and the stranger, what was her name again? Anya. They seemed to be having a rather interesting conversation. Yeah, she, for one, knew that she should not be listening in on the conversation, but she couldn't help herself. But there seemed to be little private about it after all, and she was curious. On second thoughts, she better stop, if she was caught, well, the results may be awful. She'd better get started on honing her current skills, especially the skill that allowed her to throw mage fire. Her room already looked like a battleground itself, with the many scorching holes in the walls where she had missed. Well, that was just one reason why she didn't let people in. Another blast of sapphire flames flew from her staff and hit the walls.

Luinil spoke to Anya usind her mind.
"You are quite silly, I do not threaten you. I am warning you. It is true I do not know who you are or what you are, but you have power. It does not matter what form the power comes in, all that matters is if its strong enough. You are strong enough, but you lack a few things. I saw what your army did to the rat, but what can you do? You think to high of yourself. Those who are overconfident never succeed in what they wish to do. I suggest that you are more forward to the Pheonix and I. You are much like her, your powers are very strong, but you are in her realm now. Just remember that. If we must fight together, then I wish for respect, and in turn I will give you mine. We have not started off, how you say, on the right foot."
Her eyes twinkled as though she were smiling, but her lips showed no trace of a smile. She turned to Pheonix.
"Go, Your Majesty, you should look at her army, though disorganized and weak, they have much potential. I will speak to the young sorceress. And I will find out more about her." she gave Pheonix an assuring smile. "I shall talk to you later. About my findings. Goodbye for now" Luinil turned to Anya "and you, I would like to 'talk' to you again. I enjoyed our conversation very much." And with that Luinil turned and walked swiftly and silently to the door. Quickly opening it and closing it. Walking down the halls, she decided to change out of her heavy traveling clothes, into something a little lighter, before talking to Alayna.

The Pheonix stood and watched Luinil and This Emerald Queens mind game conversations with amusement.
"Yes, Luinil... go if you must." Pheonix sighed. "Though I want you to understand Luinil... no one... no one, in this realm or others are stronger and powerful than I." Pheonix' eyes flashed as she glanced at the Emerald Queen. Cold and cruel was her facial expression, hard and unmerciful was she.
As Luinil exited the hall The Pheonix turned back to the Queen. She stared intently at her for some time before she spoke.
Finally saying, "What benefits have you in my realm? Eh? Why did you come here?' The Pheonix paused and stalled as she walked, her thoughts flowing through her head, though she herself was unreadable by any one... her powers denied any one acess to them.
"Let me tell you something, I am the only ruler, my blood is of this land. No one elses." She said with a deathly look.

Silently walking down the halls, Luinil heard Basil's heavy foot steps behind her. Whipping around, she grasped him by the neck and lifted him off the ground.
"Hello Basil, how are you doing today?"
"Er..fine milady, how are you?" he said in a raspy voice, "could you put me down? I cant breathe."
"Oh...right Basil, sorry, I'm not having a very good day. Can you tell me where Alayna is staying?"
"Yes, I believe shes in the north wing"
"Thank you very much Basil" Luinil gave him a warm smile.
"Your welcome" Basil gave her an uneasy smile and then hurried off in the other direction.
Luinil walked down the hall and entered her chamber. Splashing some cool water on her face, she looked at her dresses and finally chose a beautiful gray one. The material shimmered as she moved and brought out her eyes. Her necklace hung lightly around her neck and her brown hair flowed down to her shoulders.
"Now to Alayna's room." she said. "this will be interesting, I have not had much time to talk to this girl. To find out more about her, she is quite mysterious." Luinil talked quietly to herself as she often did when she was alone. It made more sense when she talked about something than when she thought about it.

She glided down the halls making no sound as she did so. Turning down the many twisting and confusing halls she finally entered the north wing. She walked to the last door and quietly knocked.
"Alayna, it is Luinil. I wish to speak with you. May I come in or do you wish that we take a walk?"
Luinil said softly as she waited for an answer. She pushed the door open and looked in. She saw Alayna holding her staff. And then she saw the wall, it was adorned with scorch marks and holes.
"I see you have been practicing with your abiliy to throw fire. If you wish, I could show you to the dungeons, you can practice on some prisoners while I have a word with you." Luinil said as a grin spread across her face

Alayna saw Luinil, and a small smile spread across her face. "You are looking for me? I will gladly follow, for I feel that I can trust you. Why are you looking for me? I know we've met before," She paused before continuing. "You said something about a walk? I shall take a stroll with you, then maybe you can tell me how deep my powers reach, for I have heard many people tell me of my potential, but somehow, I cannot fully grasp magic." She then noticed that Luinil was looking at the many holes in her wall. "Oh, I'm sorry, those were a few of my, well, failures to throw mage fire." She flushed before continuing.
"How long does it take to be such a trusted ally of Phoenix?" She asked hesitantly, for she was a little afraid of both Phoenix and Luinil. Actually, she was terrified of Phoenix.
