Twilight sat in the Inn, very bored. She ordered an Ale as she waited for more people to arrive. She sat in her chair in a white tank-top which tucked into riding boots and concealed her knee-high riding boots. She had a black-burn underneath her left eye, and on her right arm was a fire-like streak that went down to her wrist. Then there was the scar of a cut on her neck. She carried a haversack which held her family horn. A beautiful thing, of mithril black, and engraved on it was vines entangling 2 moons, one on each side. Her amber-brown thick hair was in a ponytail, and she sat as she hummed a merry tune to herself. |

"HELLLLLOOOOO....." Jason Chase trailed off as he entered the inn. His eyes took in the bartender and waitress and all of the ONE customer...he chuckled to himself... "Not a very happening place, is it?" Jason asked the woman sitting at a table, she looked vaguely familier, maybe a little worse for ware. Either she was a warrior of some sort, or had bad luck, judging from her eye, wrist, and neck. He was sure however, that she looked very familier. Jason ordered an ale and flipped a coin onto the bar. He went over and sat a table next to the only other patrons table. He smiled at her and raised his mug of ale once it was in hand and he took a swig. Jason looked around.... "Kind of a quiet place isn't it?" Jason asked... "By the way....the names Jason, Jason Chase." Jason exteneded his hand towards Twilight flashing her a charming smile. Now she got a good look at Jason. His shoulder length brown hair was neat and shiney. His perfect teeth making for a bright smile. His eyes danced with happiness. He was dressed in basic clothes...a tunic, pants, boots, belt, and cloak...he carried no visible weapoons...and a small pack he had placed the table seemed to carry basic supplies...

Naiore, daughter of House Finarfin, pushed back the hood of the ebony cloak that draped her tall frame to reveal pale golden hair that fell to her waist as she entered the door. She cast a perfunctory glance around the common room, emerald eyes glittering as she weighed all within up and it seemed as though she were debating with herself over something. Indeed she was, although the something was a matter she kept to herself. Having deemed the Inn suitable for her needs, she continued her progress down the stairs at the door, pulling the cloak from her shoulders. Naiore revealed beneath a green velvet dress, the hue so richly deep that at it seemed at times black in the flickering light, cut in the manner of her people to flatter her elven form.
The indecision faded rapidly with each movement. She hung her cloak on the pegs by the door nad turned around, face now composed and settled. A man and woman were the only customers present. A serene smile curved her lips as she glanced to each in turn, but she said nothing until she had claimed her glass of Dorwinion wine from the barkeep. She turned to face where Twilight and Jason were seated and raised her glass to them before putting it to her lips and taking a sip of the rich vintage. Naiore swallowed it after some deliberation and she turned to cast her judgement of the wine over her shoulder to the barkeep in a cultured, low voice that rolled with the musical accents of Sindarin.
A fine vintage, bar keep. I believe I shall have more of it, anon.
Retrieving a bright silver coin from the low bodice of her gown, Naiore placed it on the countertop as payment for her present glass and those that may follow. With the room mainly empty, she had the pick of the tables from which she could sit and observe the doings of the common room. As she perused the possible vantages, again her gaze alit upon the man that was introducing himself to the other woman. Naiore raised a blonde brow in a delicate arch, hint of a smile and a flash of something firey in her green gaze is all she let pass for the moment before she swept her eyes onwards.

Oh, I've been around here or there--nothing much. I'm a rapid traveler. I stay in one place for about 4 days maximum. Oh, Vedui Stranger. Said Twilight to the maiden sitting in the back. Twilight had her legs crossed, and she had her arms folded, her favorite position. She waved her over. I'm Twilight Durkhelex the Outcast. You are? |

She considered the gesture that beckoned her closer and decided to heed it. Gliding over, wine glass in hand, Naiore nodded politely.
Vedui Twilight Durkhelex. I am the one who owns your name...
A hint of a smile flickered a moment as Twilight's brow furrowed, but the uncertainty passed as Naiore added,
I am known as Naiore in these lands.
There was no hint of recognition at her name, Naiore was pleased to observe. She took a sip from her glass.
And who, indeed, is this gentleman?
Mild curiosity shimmered in that question as she turned her gaze to the man.

Lutanien barged through the door of the inn, breathing heavily. She was soaking wet. She pushed back her hood to reveal her coal black, waist-length curls and her piercing black eyes. She ran to the back of the bar muttering something about being late for work again.
She had only worked at the inn for about 4 months, but she had already been warned about being late for work on several occasions. Luckily her boss understood her situation.
She hung up her cloak and tried to fix her hair a little. She had on a white blouse and a black skirt. With it she wore tall black boots. Over it she put her apron. Seeing the patrons, she took out her notepad, put on her best smile and went to retrieve orders.
"At least it's not too busy right now," she muttered under her breath. |

Jason stood as Naiore approached. He smiled at her and muzed to himself, his expression unchanging, at the connection between Twilight and Naiore. They seemed to....be familier, at least to a point, with each other. At Naiore's words, asking who he was he reached out, gently taking her hand in his. The smooth feel of her skin in his equally smooth grasp, it was obvious that he probably hadn't done a day's work in his life. He brought Naiore's hand to his lips, placing a soft kiss on it. My name is Chase, Jason Chase. It is a pleasure...nay, an honor to meet you..." Jason was sure to keep his eyes on hers, not to let them wander to her charms, at least until he was sure she wasn't looking. Jason released Naiore's hand, and turned to Twilight. He reached out, slowly and gently, as with Naiore, taking her hand in his, bringing it to his lips, and giving it a small kiss...and with a nod of his head he said... "Now that we have been properly introduced....why don't you sit with us Naiore? Your company, I'm sure, would be more than welcome." With that Chase smilied charmingly at each woman. Just as he sat the door banging open, Chase jumped to his feet when he saw a woman enter, he smiled at her and gave a small bow. He sat back down and looked at each woman in turn, thinking to himself of the possiblities... "So...what are your stories my dears?" He asked with that oh so charming smile... |

The pleasure is all mine, Lord Chase.
Just as Jason's lips pressed against the back of her hand in the slightest of caresses, Naiore let her fingers tighten a little in his grasp to offer the slightest of strokes. She let his eyes wander over her, amused smile in place as they lingered where he would have them linger and smoothly folded herself into the offered chair, settling the lush folds of her skirts over her long legs and gazing at Twilight with unconcealed curiosity. Jason sat shortly thereafter, having bestowed his considerable charm upon Twilight. This could prove interesting indeed. Naiore lifted her glass to her lips and took a mouthful of wine, studying both her companions through her lashes.
Jason looked from one woman to the other, speculation behind his smile. Naiore lifted her gaze then, returning his gaze with a boldness that was as unashamed as it was undisguised. She all but purred,
There is little to tell that would be of interest. I am come seeking a pleasant diversion, mayhap a dalliance to pass the time.
She leant forward a little, drawing closer as if to whisper something conspiratorial to them both in the knowledge that the action brought emphasis to certain feminine assets.
Perhaps, if I knew what it was you would like to know of, I could offer more...
Naiore's smile was enigmatic and sumptuous, as if hinting of something more could be obtained from her, a depth as yet unrevealed and inviting in its mysteries.

Praycien entered the inn, shaking her head to dislodge the rain from her hair. It was, by no accounts, a busy night at all. Three people were at one table, two women and a man, and one of the women was leaning in, speaking in a half whisper. They looked a great deal as if they were plotting something. She walked over to the table. Hello. she said with a smile, taking a seat. Do you mind if I join you? Her silver eyes flicked over each member of the table. One of the women had amber-brown coloured hair, and a nice collection of scars. The other was cloaked and had long, beautiful golden hair. The man was quite handsome, with longish brown hair and sparkling eyes. Praycien, if anyone was wanting for a description, had, accompanying her silver eyes, midlength black hair that was soaked from the rain which contrasted against her pale skin, as did her arched black brows and long sable lashes. She wore a long black cloak, clasped at her neck with a silver brooch, and a fitted grey shirt. Her pants were as black as her cloak and her hair, and her boots, of a strange pale-gray leather, rose to her knees. She was altogether quite pretty. |

Jason silently pondered this woman Naiore. She wasn't free with information. She was no typical commoner, of that he was certain. She had some sort of agenda. Something besides conversation and flirting. Of that he was also sure. Perhaps she was on the run...but from who, and why? No, if she were on the run she would avoid people, not join strangers for drinks and conversation. Maybe she was a con-man, like him. 'Hmmmmmm' he thought. She could be a great ally in "The game". Of course, she'd be an even more powerful foe if push came to shove. What was that saying..."keep your friends close and your enimies closer". Granted, she was not an enemy. At least not yet. But he decided to adopt that idea. She could be an asassin...she would be perfect. How easy it would be for her to lure men into the bed chambers, and when no one is around.....Jason shivered slightly at the thought. She should definatly be an ally. At least for the time being... "What line of work are you in Naiore?" Chase asked, the question just filler to where he was leading the conversation... Just then a woman entered the inn, Jason stood and smiled at the newcomer as she approached the table... "Please, do sit. You are welcome here." Jason couldn't believe his luck...three beautiful women...and him. He smiled charmingly as the newcomer sat. Jason reached out, grabbing her hand and planting a soft kiss on it. "Hello, my name is Chase, Jason Chase. This is Twilight, and this is Naiore." Jason motioned to each of the women in turn... "It is a pleasure to meet you....what was your name? Naiore was just going to share with us what line of work she's in..." Chase released the strangers hand and looked towards Naiore with a smile. |

Naiore held Jason's gaze, seeing the curiosity and wariness there, and rolling the possibilities around in her mind. Here was a handsome man adept with the social intricacies of interacting with women. He executed the protocols adroitly, but there was a hint of something else a little more untamed, uncertain, more dangerous. Naiore had a taste for all those things and more. She laughed, a velvety and rich sound and leant back to consider the question put to her.
The entry of another woman gave her the necessary time to weigh the matter up. She cast an assessing gaze over Praycien and deemed her no immediate risk, unlike Jason. Jason could be very dangerous if he put but half his mind to it. He would prove an interesting occupation of her time. Naiore smiled up at Praycien and at Jason's pointed repeating of his question took the last mouthful of wine from her glass. She straightened, running her hands over the bodice of her velvet gown to indicate that no daggers were concealed there. Of course, it always paid to check for one's self and a dagger is not the only deadly weapon.
Charming of you to think me more than some idle lady, Lord Chase. My work is varied, and centred mainly on understanding more of what makes a Child of Illuvator what they are. Perhaps you could call me a philosopher.
It was a neat explanation, and true for the most part. She raised a brow and for the moment let Twilight and Jason consider that.
Welcome, newcomer, to this small, intimate group.
But soon enough her attention returned to where she had left the conversation.
And so, Lord Chase, what is it that occupies your time? Is it charming women at inns, or do you find something more challenging then that. I can't imagine many women are immune to your charms.
Again she laughed, sending a mischevious glance to Twilight and Praycien. This inn was bearing more fruit than Naiore had thought it might.

Twilight leant back. This woman was all too mysterious. It's a good thing she carried a sling and pebble pouch. Her sword LordsDoom hung on her hip. She didn't care to conceal them. All she wanted to do was have a good time, take a break from adventures and all that. She was really tired of them. She was ready to call someplace home now. She smiled, her face showing age and tiredness. "Lord? I don't see any Lord here. And Jason, you have something stuck in your teeth." |

Lutanien, glad to see that the patrons were all at the same table, walked over to greet them. She also noticed that Praycien hadn't ordered anything yet.
"Is there anything I can get for you?" Lutanien asked the patrons. "Perhaps you would like another glass of Dorwinion, Naiore?"
She stood gazing at each of the patrons, waiting for their orders.
"Might I also suggest the stewed rabbit," she added. "It's famous all over these parts." |

Jason held Naiore's gaze, looking deep into her eyes. He never lost his smiles as he watched and listened to her. Indeed, the smile did change from a toothy smile, to a sly grin and all the area inbetween. But it never left his face. He knew, as she talked, this was the woman for him. She suited him fine. Infact better than fine. The only problem being, Chase knew, they were too similer. One of them would end up playing the other. Conning the other. Possibly even killing the other. At the very least, he knew that one morning, one of the two of them would wake up, and the other would be gone. Just like that. No note, no messages, no tears. And he was sure that neither of them would bare the other ill will adter all was said and done. He slightly shook his head, waking himself from his thoughts, ingesting all that Naiore said. 'What a beautiful laugh' he thought to himself. Jason decided that he would love to take her to a fancy feast. Maybe to the court of a baron or baroness.....they could make a killin between the both of them at a nice feast. Of course, he'd have to try to find a place where no one knew him. At least where they didn't know his reputation. 'A philosopher indeed' he thought, 'a spy...yes, probably a spy, yet another fitting calling for her... "What occupies my time?" Jason repeated the question... "I....am an entertainer and an entrepanuer(sp). I travel from city to city, and festival to festival. Though charming ladies is one of my many talents, it is only a hobby." Jason lied with a slight smile. He had made most of his current fortune, which was dwindling rapidly, by conversing with, and eventually seducing older, mature, WEALTHY women. Most, infact, were more than willing to give to his cause, whatever it may be at the time. Maybe his brother, the duke of whattayacallit, is ill and needs a life saving proceedure. Or his rebellion army needs funding to fight the evil tyranny of some ogre like oppressor. "Where are you from my dear Naiore?" Jason glanced at her empty goblet... "More wine?" He asked, his eyes dancing with Naiore's... |

A very sucessful entertainer and entreprenur I would imagine, and with the unmistakable talent for roguishness.
From the south I hail, Belfalas although that was now 2 ages ago and none now remember me.
Again, partial truth, for the records had erased her name once it became evident that Naiore Dannan was not as other elven maidens were and her pursuits deemed unseemly and inproper.
Jason inquired after her wine and she most certainly did wish another. Twilight looked she could do with either another drink or a good long sleep. Rest, however was the furtherest thing on Naiore's mind. She knew Jason's smile for what it was, and appreciating the considerable prospects that might be available should she work with another for a time. Certainly, it would be an invigorating and wild ride until such time as they had to part ways. Naiore let her glance travel from Jason's handsome face, down his body to his boots and back again in a leisurely circuit. Her smile held, showing now open appreciation.
More wine? Why, if I did not know better I may think you were intent on having me drunk...
A wry smile, as he raised an innocent expression that was well practised indeed, for an entertainer or an entraprenuer. A likely calling, for are not all opportunists in one way or another. Yes, a handsome hunting partner this man could be. Twilight on the other hand looked rather disinclined to see what may come from adventuring. Perhaps if she tried Naiore's adventuring she may find it more exhilerating, and profitable. But, back to the wine. Why not, provided he had one too.
Why yes, more wine be in order provided I am not drinking alone...
Jason smiled his dangerous smile at her and saw to it. Meanwhile Naiore decided she'd call his bluff. She leant forward again, towards Jason this time, directing all her attention to him as her eyes widened ingeniously. She placed a gentle hand on his forearm, letting her fingers lightly stroke as she murmured,
So will you entertain us tonight? Sing us a song from your homeland? How may I entice you to do so?

Lutanien stood, with a blank look on her face, staring at Jason and Naiore. She tapped her foot impatiently.
"Can I get a straight answer out of anyone?" she asked. "Do you want more wine or not?"
She had to work for 7 more hours and she was not going to spend that time waiting for two "players" to figure each other out. |

Lutanien's abrupt manner was probably the worst way to get a response from Naiore that anyone in their right mind would want. Of course, not everyone was in their right mind. A flash of irritation lit her eyes but by the time she had risen to her full height and turned to the woman, it was gone again, lost behind her smooth expression. Naiore said nothing for a moment, studying Lutanien with something akin to curiosity as the woman bristled with impatience.
The last time I travelled these lands I had thought it customary to allow patrons to order their fill of wine or food at their own choosing.
It seems this custom may have changed. I can assure you that a straight answer shall be had, once Lord Chase here has considered that which he desires to drink.
Haste often brings us to untidy ends...
Though it was said with a smile, Naiore's hands calmly folded before her, there was something in the way she held her shoulders that hinted that caution may be more necessary than Lutanien had earlier thought it.
I trust such an indulgence can be spared Lord Chase, after all your fine establishment is not overflowing with other patrons demanding your attention...
Naiore, having said her piece, took her opportunity to subtly re-adjust her chair a little closer to Jason's before sitting once more. She turned her attention back to Jason, inquiring serenly,
I can recommend the Dorwinion, unless you prefer ale or had something stronger in mind?
(OOC: ServantOfDarkness, I hope that wasn't out of order. It is as I would envisage Naiore's reaction. Sometimes people are in different time zones and their replies are pitched around their schedules. I try to bear this in mind as I'm often posting when others aren't and don't like to let the speed of reply get in my way. ) |

Jason flashed an irritated smile at Twilight that quickly, so quickly infact that it was hard to tell if the irritation had been there, changed to his usual charming smile... "Pardon my poor hygene habits m'lady." Jason said with a nod of his head towards Twilight. With that he closed his lips and swirled his tongue about, dislodging the morsel...And he flashed his NEW smile at Twilight before turning his attention to Lutanien. A quick smile crossed his face at Naiore's irritation with the serving girl. He decided to remedy the situation as best he could. He looked at the serving girl... "Yes. Bring 2, no, make that 4 goblets of Dorwinion and...4 bowls of this famous stew..." Jason reached into his money pouch(One of them) and pulled out a gold coin, holding it so everyone could see it. He placed in Lutanien's hand... "And if you serve us in a timely fasion, and take a moment to relax, then you can keep what change is left, and there is more where that came from. Infact, unless you have so many duties, have some wine with us...I'm about to entertain the common room..." Chase finished with a smile and a wink to Naiore. He looked into Naiore's eyes for a brief moment... "I assure you my dear lady, I am intent on having you...drunk or not is of no consequence..." Jason paused a moment, so quickly it may have been imagined. He berated himself, a good con-man is not quite so bold, at least not this early on, but he rose from his chair before Naiore had a chance to catch his meaning, he knew he failed. As he stood he leaned into Naiore, close, able to smell her womanly scent. She smelled beautiful. He could make out imperfections, or lack there of, in the skin of her face and neck, he quietly whispered into her ear, his breath warm on her earlobe, he spoke only quietly enough for her, incase his suspicions were right, he didn't want to give her away to any other possible...targets...
"My dear, earlier you said you are known by Naiore in these lands....by what name, and why, are you known in other lands?" Jason planted a quick peck on Naiore's cheek as he rose and he addressed everyone....all 4 women... "Now mind you, it sounds better with an instrument, and I am with out mine for now." Jason began to clap a beat and sing a song. He did....surprisingly well. It was obvious he was no bard, but he could sing pretty well and for the most part he could carry a tune. As he clapped and sang his gaze focused mainly on Naiore, although he made sure to spread his smile around to all the women... |

Twilight stiffled some giggles. That player! Gosh, if it could be any cornier she would leave. She listened to the song. It wasn't the best she'd ever heard, but it was fair enough. Twilight could tell that Jason was irritated with her impudence. When he was done, Twilight said, "That was nice. I'd say it was better if you were spending a little more time concentrating on your singing instead of looking at Naiore and smiling." She smiled as Jason tried to keep his temper. He, as Twilight had guessed, thought himself of a bigshot. And Twilight never liked bigshots. |

Praycien allowed Jason to kiss her hand with an almost imperceptible shake of her head, and a fully visible smile that said all-right-but-just-this-time. She took her seat, and was about to order something from Lutanien, but was beat to it. She slowly sipped and listened to the song, and rolled her eyes good-naturedly at the constant flirting, and laughed at Twilight's not-so-subtle pointing it out. Jason's talent for charming ladies didn't seem to be working on her. Twilight, she said. If our singing friend over there is an... entertainer... and the Lady Naiore is a philospher... you must have an occupation, a dangerous one by the looks of it. What is it? |

So he wanted her name as well, did he. Naiore smiled sensuously as Jason's lips brushed over her cheek and did no more than that. He performed well, seemed to enjoy the attention, and his voice was quite striking. Naiore always did find voices attractive. Twilight and Praycien seemed to enjoy his song, even Lutanien looked up from where she readied the stew in appreciation. Upon finishing, he bowed with a courtly flourish more at home in the elegant halls of a lord and there was scattered laughter. Naiore rose from her chair and spread the emerald velvet of her skirts wide as she sank fluidly into a deep curtsy. It was well practised, but whether she had been born to it or had learnt it was imperceptible.
Jason's brows rose in astonishment, and her only reply was,
A fitting honour for such fine entertainment, my lord.
She rose smoothly once more, letting the velvet drape again from her hips, and with a smile that was just a little dangerous advanced to where Jason stood. Once there, she stood with her head lightly cocked to one side as she gazed deep into his eyes. A smile curved her lips gently, but she spoke no word. After a moment, she walked slowly around Jason, still smiling until she came to stand on his right. Naiore stood perhaps closer than was entirely proper, but then what was proper only had weight with the elven woman when it suited her purpose. She leant in, brushing against his shoulder and arm, and whispered against his ear, her breath warm over his cheek.
And other entertainments I deem you have mastered as well. If so, then my name you may have later this night.
Ever so lightly, her lips brushed softly against his ear, she breathed in his masculine scent, and then she was gone. Jason was left to stare at the sway of her hair against her back as she walked back to her chair. She bore a triumphant smile which Jason did not see until she had sat and what she carried in her hands was visible. She tossed the pouch of coins that Jason had used to purchase their meals and wine onto the table with a delighted laugh. She was sure he had others, she might look for them later unless her hands were otherwise occupied.
Jason's eyes widened as his own hands leapt to his belt to confirm what his sight told him. With eyes that shone with playful wickedness, Naiore added,
You can count it if you wish, my Lord. You will find it is all there. And if it is not, well then you just may have to locate the missing coins and seek recompense...
Was it a challenge, a dare, an offer or invitation? It could be all of those things, and Naiore would let Jason figure out what he wanted to be.

Lutanien recorded the order in her notebook. Four goblets of Dorwinion and four bowls of stew. She glanced over Naiore, accepted the coin from Jason and then turned, walking back to the bar.
She didn't appreciate the curtness of Naiore.
"She must be new to these parts because she obviously doesn't know who she's dealing with," Lutanien muttered under her breath as she waited for the stew, which was simmering in a large pot.
She dished up four bowls and poured four glasses of the wine and made her way back to the table. She was stopped however, by the sound of a song. Jason was providing entertainment apparently. When he finished she walked to the table, setting the food down. She decided now was a better time than any to speak with Naiore about her abruptness. Lutanien gently tooke her by the arm and led her away from the table.
"I'm sorry if my service does not meet with your standards," she said quietly, but sternly. "But may I remind you miss that I did not force you to order. And from where I come from it is only common decency to at least acknowledge someone when they speak to you-the first time."
With that, Lutanien took her tray and headed back to the bar. She was stopped on the way by Jason. He asked her to join them later. Lutanien looked back at Naiore, then back at Jason. Maybe she would come back in a few minutes, she thought to herself. A hint of a smile played up on her lips.
(OOC: It's fine, Naiore.) |

Huh? Oh, yeah, I was just cleaning out my ear. That music can kinda hurt one elf's sensitive ear. But I'm a warrior. Wanderer. Traveler. Outcast. Sometime's I'll be asked to be an assasin, but I don't wanna be. |

Praycien rolled her eyes at Niaore and Jason's shameless flirting, then leaned in to repeat her question. What is your occupation? she asked. It seems our noble lord is an entertainer and our lady is a philosopher... what might you be? Twilight nodded, and as she formulated her answer, Praycien glanced around. Where there no other men at this inn? It seemed Jason was getting off too easy... |

Shush! You're interrupting my soap opera, doncha know? Twilight and Praycien rolled their eyes. Twilight finally stopped the corny moment by standing up, turning to the others and shouting, I don't know about you, but the love channel is getting a little boring. Whose got the switch? Oh, thank you, now, where was I? Oh yes, waitress! One Dragon's Blood! Or is that two? Three? Four? Five? And if you don't mind, I'd like a pint please. I'm one of those elves that can drink a lot and it doesn't run into their systems. Lucky me, eh? But, anyhow, whose up for a jig? Not waiting for anyone to answer she ran out, grabbed her fiddle and came back, standing on the higher table and playing an unbearably moving tune. It was a widely known jig, and it was by far the best one. I told you I'd be back in a tick! Oh wait, I didn't. Whoops. Anyways, give a round of applesauce to Twilight Durkhelex on the fiddle playing 'Wandering Inn and Ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut!' The beat got faster, and the music louder. |

Certain people just DON'T GET IT!!!
There are some here that need to try harder. A few lines without any good content doesn't move the story along. And it doesn't give enough information for anyone to take what the previous writer has tried to write and use it to post from. Which creates the domino effect when others are posting. WE WILL NOT TOLERATE THIS!
Follow the Guideline links in my signature line and learn how we expect you to uphold the standards here at Tolkien Online. DO NOT start new threads! Join and learn from older ones! Yes there is alot of reading involved in some of them but you need to read them TO LEARN FROM THEM WHAT OUR EXPECTATIONS ARE!!!

EDIT: To those of you who are making a real effort, I'm sorry you're getting caught up in the generalization of this. |

(OOC: Firstly, cool picture Running-Deer. Secondly, you seem to have touched on points I raised in the OCC thread to this RP. Thirdly, I hope to provide something of an example with this post, assuming I'm not one of the individuals that need to try harder. )
Naiore decided the contemptuous expressions she was receiving from those at the table were not going to get in the way of her enjoyment of her stew. The spices and meat smelt delectible, and she was hungry indeed. It was thick, hearty and suited the rich wine that had arrived with the meal. Jason seemed to have recovered from his shock concerning the purloined money pouch. He had counted it, and found there was indeed nothing missing from it, before reattaching it to his belt. Naiore smiled sideways at him as he picked up his glass of wine and sampled the wine's palate, and she leaned to whisper again in his ear,
A bewitching dance is being played. I wonder if the lord's talents extend to such courtly arts as dancing.
They locked gazes for a moment that stretched, and she added,
And if he does, if he can better control his hands then I can mine.
Again that smile, again that challenge or invitation. She returned to her stew while the fiddle sang a merry tune that tugged at the feet. As the stew dwindled and her glass emptied once more. As she began to feel more settled she began to turn her thoughts more closely to one Jason Chase. An interesting riddle he was, very appealing indeed. Should they pool their abilities they would be able to achieve much, and then there was the delightful prospect of other pursuits with the entrancing and charming man that sat beside her. |

Lutanien, feeling that the patrons were taken care of for the time being, took Jason up on his offer. Besides, she had some serious apologizing to do. She hung up her apron, grabbed a mug of ale and walked over to his table. She held back for a moment, not wanting to interrupt Jason and his new "friend." After waiting a moment, she took a deep breath and sauntered to the table.
"Good evening," she said awkwardly. "Jason, I believe you invited me over. My name is Lutanien and I have been your server for tonight."
Her crack at humor fell short of her expectations. She dropped her eyes for a second, but then spoke again, this time to the maiden he had been speaking with.
"I'm very sorry for that episode earlier," Lutanien said aplogetically. "As they say, the customer is always right. Anyway, my behavior was completely uncalled for. I'd like to offer you a drink, on me. Now, what was your name? I don't believe you mentioned it earlier."
Lutanien, hoping that this would cool things down a bit, offered her hand in greeting and apology. She had never been good at admitting she was wrong and she hoped that she hadn't sounded too stuffy. |

Jason smiles at all the young ladies...his eyes catching Twilights... "Actually my dearest Twilight, 'twas the beautiful smile, and the glint in Naiore's beautiful eyes that encouraged me to do as well as I did with the song." Jason winked at Naiore as he turned to the serving girl who had just joined them... "There is no further need for apologies my dear girl....all is forgiven and forgotten." Jason gave a slight bow to Lutanien and grabbed her unoccupied hand, bringing to his lips and kissing it... "Tis a pleasure to meet you at last..." Jason then turned his attention back to Naiore, smiling, more for himself this time to see how she would handle the girls apology...he then said... "Dancing...dancing....my lady, I was dancing before I could walk. I am sure there are few dances that I can not do." With that Chase bowed and extended his hand to Naiore.... "Try me..." he said with a mischevious smile..."You pick the dance, hopefully someone will know the tune, and with any luck...." Chase trailed off, pulling Naiore to her feet and pulling her against him as well as he whispered..."...you will not leave my arms until the morn..." (OOC: I know I should probably post this in the OOC thread, but, I don't want to have to go back again. I am going to sleep after this post. 1)I hope I am not offending anyone with anything too...risque. 2)Happy 4th of July...I know not everyone is from america, but happy 4th nonetheless) |
